Samira, a short-haired, gray-haired Amazoness, ran out of the room. Behind her back were stacked several Amazonesses fighters, also known as berberas. Samira's red eyes, radiating fury, fixed on the distorted figure amidst the dust.

"Emily!"

However, her footsteps were interrupted by a wild scream that sounded like the roar of an enraged beast. A ripple in the wind made her hair flutter as the dust concealed Adler's figure became visible.

Adler's expression and body structure were hidden under the black hooded clothing, making it impossible for the Berberas to discover his identity.

The berberas hearts grew tense, and they began to position themselves for battle. The sounds of weapons and metal shields clanked in front of the mansion, which was deathly silent. No matter who it was, they had to stop the bastard from scaring their Familia's clients!

Samira approached Adler with her hands covered by a metal gauntlet. The hooded man in front of her stood static, his eyes fixed on the mansion.

"Identify yourself immediately if you don't want me to use your face as a mop to clean the floor!" Samira shouted in an angry tone and adopted a fighting stance.

Adler did not respond and averted his gaze to her.

To what was this strange feeling due? Samira was astonished; however, instead of fearing that feeling as if the hooded man in front of her could pierce her soul, she felt more insulted than ever.

"Hey, you bastard! I order you to leave this place if you don't want my sisters to crush your bones!" Impacting her gauntlets against each other, Samira let out a furious snort. The intruder looked at her like a bug in the middle of the road.

"..."

Adler continued to stare at her. Beneath the blindfold covering his eyes were two glowing pearls devoid of an angry look. A deadly peaceful look hovered over his face as if he were competing against the surface of a tame sea.

He looked like someone completely different from seconds ago.

"I see; you don't want to accept my good intention, huh?" Licking her lips, Samira smiled. It had been a long time since she had found an opportunity to exercise her tense muscles!

"Since we can't agree with words...," Samira narrowed her eyes. The muscles in her legs contracted, and the concrete under her feet creaked like spider webs.

*Boom!

Her feet left their previous position, darting like a bullet as she propelled herself forward. Undeterred by the howling whistle of the wind booming in her eardrums, she shouted, "Then we'll just have to teach you a lesson with our fists!"

Samira, a level 3 Berbera who was an expert fighter in close combat, would hardly find an adventurer up to her level to compete. Who would have guessed that today the heavens would smile on her and gift her with an enemy who appeared to be strong?

It was a good excuse to beat someone to a pulp with her fists!

Samira's quick footwork created residual images behind her back. In the blink of an eye, she arrived in front of Adler, who happened to be taller than her. Reaching forward, Samira's metallic fists were accompanied by a gust of wind.

Her brows furrowed in annoyance. The hooded man remained impassively in place, showing no sign of moving to intercept her attack. Does he think she's too weak and not worthy of making his move? Too naive!

Samira's lips curved upward in a mocking smile.

The wind swirling around her metal fists was enough to shred the clothing covering Adler's chest. The heavy blow broke through, and with a wet "Pushi" sound, the metal fist sank deep into his heart.

The arm protruded from Adler's back. The aftermath of the powerful attack created a linear crack that split the street into two halves. Curious adventurers who had not escaped were sprayed by the small stones propelled by the whistling wind.

Samira's brows furrowed.

Was she excited for someone so insignificant?

"... What a disappointment. I guess I was expecting too much."

Samira let out a sigh of disappointment. Here she was, expecting a good fight. But no one could blame her that the enemy turned out to be weaker than she expected to the point that one fist would be enough to end his life.

Impatient, she withdrew her arm from her enemy's chest. The texture of the hooded man's body felt strange. There were no obstructions to the bones one would generally find in a human's body.

"... It was just a piece of garbage, after all." The disappointed muttering of one of the Berberas behind Samira brought the other Amazons out of their dazed stupors.

"I-I don't think so. Didn't you see Samira-sama's movement?!"

"That's right; she's even swifter than last I saw her!"

"Wait, that's not the main problem!"

"Huh? What do you mean by that?"

"Don't tell me you've forgotten?! Murdering someone inside Orario is strictly forbidden!"

"..."

".. I-in any case, we can hide the corpse in the dumpster."

"I think it's better to burn it in a bonfire."

The dozens of armed Amazonesses began to sweat - they had forgotten such an important rule!

Even Samira's lips twitched a couple of times. She regretted putting all her strength into that attack. However, she didn't worry as she had several ways to escape this situation. As if any onlookers thought of ratting her out, she would have to use her techniques on the bed, and everything would be taken care of.

She shook her fists to wipe the blood off her enemy. Wait... Why is there no blood covering? The metal glove Samira expected to be full of blood was so clean that it glistened under the reddish illumination, making her eyes widen.

Suddenly, the ground beneath her feet began to shake as if a herd of monsters was running in the same direction. Her ears pricked up as distant screams caught the Berberas' attention.

"What's happening now?!"

The Berbers and the adventurers looked to the right, where the streets lit by red street lamps showed faint traces of tremors.

At the end of the observable street, several dark silhouettes were outlined. Dust produced by heavy footsteps chased their backsides. The shouts of excitement were getting closer, and the ground shaking was becoming more uncomfortable.

"Damn it!" Samira's eyes widened in surprise, forgetting about the strange situation before: why were there so many people running towards them?!

"A-are they also people who want to cause trouble?" A small Amazoness couldn't help but take a few steps backward. Her face paled as she imagined the consequence of so many adventurers crowding upon them.

"But why? Perhaps they are not satisfied with our nightly services?"

"Huh? I thought our prices were quite affordable; was I wrong?"

The Amazonesses began to argue among themselves as they speculated and jumped to conclusions out of nervousness. They were reprimanded by Samira and quickly called back more companions. Dealing with so many adventurers at the same time was not an easy thing, even for them!

"Emily... I'm sorry. Once again, I couldn't protect you." A murmur, full of sadness and deep regret, shrank the hearts of the listeners.

Somehow, the warm weather of the night began to descend at alarming speeds. The Amazons and adventurers could not stop the chill from assaulting their backs. They decided to ignore the screams of excitement that were gradually growing louder. With stiff necks, they turned their faces.

Near Samira stood the hooded figure. After receiving such mortal wounds, even the strongest adventurer would normally lie on the ground with his legs stretched out. But, contrary to expectation, the intruder stood upright like a spear pointing to the sky!

Samira's eyes widened.

"What the F*CK?!" She instantly blinked from her position to keep the distance between them. Hadn't he died even after being pierced through the heart? Who was this guy?!

She looked at the man's chest and couldn't help but suck in a breath of cold air. Far from what she expected, under the battered hole in the dark clothing was not a bloody wound but porcelain-white skin. Even she felt envious. No! It was not the time to think about stupid things.

Such a wound was not something that could be healed in the blink of an eye, even if he had drunk a high-level potion!

Was it a quick recovery skill? She would have trouble dealing with it. However, Samira's heart was pounding, not from fear, but from an indescribable thrill like when she was crushing everyone with her fists.

"This is interesting. Although I don't know what trick you used, next time, it won't work for you anymore." Licking her lips, Samira made her metal fists grind. With a few small hops to ease her tense muscles, she sharpened her gaze and leaped towards the hooded man.

"Swoosh!"

Samira's fist connected against the intruder's face. The hooded man's head snapped in two. However, she watched with some uncertainty as the figure in front of her dissolved into thin air as if it were a mirage.

Fast, too fast! Samira's senses failed to catch a glimpse of the enemy's silhouette. If it weren't for the fact that she didn't feel the tearing with her fist, she would surely think she had torn his head off.

"Where-" Samira choked on her words. A sudden shiver ran down her spine as the tearing noise came from behind her. In imminent danger, she instinctively turned and interlocked her arm in an X-shape.

*Bang!

"Whew!"

A terrifying blow swooped down on her, flinging her like a kite in the opposite direction. The pain and numbness from the previous impact overlapped, making her let out a choked groan. However, like an experienced adventurer, her body balanced itself amid her fall. Both feet, covered by leather boots, buried themselves in the hard concrete as she began to leave a linear crack in her wake.

When she regained her sense of direction, the hooded man was already in front of her. Her big red eyes reflected a huge fist headed for her head.

"Son of a bitc-!"

*Crack!
