The High King of Skalden, Ragni I, built an enviable legacy on might, justice and blood (be it tied or splattered). His uncannily long-lived rule approaches its end, as now the conqueror lies in his deathbed. Around an empty and tenebrous throne are entire generations brimming with devotion, greed and bloodthirst. Never before were the Eight Houses so close and united, all with knives up their sleeves and arrows pointing to each other's backs.
