When the teacher entered there was silence in the classroom as if nothing had happened.

"Good morning class I am your main teacher Matt, I will be in charge of the subjects History, Alchemy and Coexistence" Matt introduced himself as he stood in front of the class and looked at his of 19 students.

"So it's the same..." Sofia muttered to herself.

"For starters let me tell you how the school works although I guess some of you already know, first of all let me tell you that here it doesn't matter your status, if you are noble or commoner here nor does it matter that, we are all just rational humans, right?" Explained Matt as the class nodded to his question.

"Okay, can someone tell me why this is?"

A girl with average height blonde drill hair raised her hand.

"Go ahead miss" Matt nodded towards the girl.

"It's largely due to the fact that the two great heroes of the Kingdom were originally commoners, but not only that it has been proven that although commoners can't use much magic as they don't possess large amounts of mana, they are forced to use their brains to get out of dangerous situations which makes them more cunning and attentive" Explained the drill girl as she sat back down.

"Well explained, although you went more towards the adventurers side than the average commoners but for the most part that's what the lady said" Matt nodded satisfied with the explanation.

"The school management decades ago decided once the school year starts to cut off any connection to the outside which means that even if you threaten someone with call the King it won't do you any good since it's simply an empty threat. Here at the Royal School, your ancestry, your heritage, your name or your fame mean nothing" Matt said those last words with a deadly serious edge.

"There are two sections, A and B, currently you are in section B, every year we have a showdown with section A, if the section manages to succeed they acquire an extra 20% of the total grade for the year, that is, if you had a 30% of 100% with the showdown you will go up to 50%, which is enough to raise a student from C to B rank next year" Matt explained, when he finished he saw Nemu's raised hand and gestured for her to speak.

"I have several questions, what happens if our grade percentage drops below 30%, what are Ranks and what are they for, how many people participate in the showdown?" Nemu asked in flurry.

"*Haa* if you drop below 30% you will be expelled from school, which will give you a very bad image about yourself seriously affecting your future, some nobles even expel their children from their homes and in the worst case even sell them to slavers" Matt explained with a bitter face.

The whole class went into a deadly silence at the explanation, each and every one of them determined not to fail after all their future and their life depended on it.

"To answer your other questions, depending on the ranks there are 3 ranks in the school from the second year A, B and C, the higher your rank the more advantages you will get, I can not say what the advantages are because it is forbidden but I assure you that it is worth it, to pass an evaluation you need at least a 12 out of 20 points, if you get less than that it will be taken as you failed the evaluation giving you a 0% on your overall grades, so make sure you don't fail" Matt explained while writing on the white board with a black marker, underlining the important parts with a red marker.

"Now do we start the class or are there more questions?" Matt asked looking around the class, seeing that no one raised their hands he nodded and started the class.

Sofia had to admit that the class had been fun, not only because her second favorite subject is History but also because the subject in question was quite interesting, the history of the First King of the Eiger Kingdom.

"God that class was boring..." Nemu muttered as he placed his head on the desk.

"Not that it was boring..."

"Maybe to you, but to me he's just a king who died hundreds of years ago and there are only a few stories left of him that are greatly exaggerated, defeating 7 dragons with one finger, really?" Nemu said as she glanced glancing glancingly at Sophia, though all of her mist eyes were staring at her.

"Hehe, I can't deny that there are some exaggerated things but it's interesting to see what I achieve, by the way... what kind of magic do you control you know?" Sofia said with a chuckle before asking something that was eating her head.

"Uh, why the sudden question?" asks Nemu as he turns to look at Sofia with his typical frown.

"*Haa*I control, fire, air and... and more nothing, which ones do you control?" Nemu said evasively.

"Oh, I control Air, Fire, Water and if I try hard enough Steam too" Sofia replied noticing Nemu's evasiveness but not wanting to press her on whatever it is she's hiding.

"That's impressive, you've got some tricks under the mage, puppy" Nemu replied in awe for controlling the 3 basic magics and a bit of secondary magic."

After lingering a while longer talking the bell rang indicating that the class was over.

"Alright, that's all for today, now you will go to the cafeteria to eat after that you will have Magic classes."

After that notice Matt leaves the classroom and shortly after some students, Nemu will wait a little bit to leave with Sofia.

AN: Yesterday while I was doing some things I thought about whether I should add some kind of love interest for Sofia. For some reason I never thought of that until yesterday, but I don't know if I should, I'm currently mulling over it, if you have any suggestions or opinions to make about what to do about this I'd really like to hear them.

Anyway, happy day and the grass is green.
