Just a few days ago, I had it all.

He was a big Brother who doted on me, hunted for me, and fed me when I felt sick, even if he himself sometimes didn't have enough food. He was always there for me when I needed him. He was always so cute trying to impress me with his tricks and aerobatics.

A charming little sister who loved to make dolls out of sticks and leaves. She was a genius at using the world's will. She could make the dolls move forward without them falling over by controlling a simple breeze. I wish I had her talent or passion.

A loving mother who would throw everything away for a chance to save even a single child, even in the face of pain and anguish. And a father strong enough to protect us from all but the most terrifying nightmares. He works out every day to make sure he can save us.

Oh, how wrong I was. They took everything from me, so I will make them wish they never showed up.

It was an ordinary day for us with the harpy tribe, which is located in the high jungle next to the mountains. The height of the gathering gave us an easy jumpstart to look over the regular jungle while still being low enough to hide from the mountainous hunters quickly. The strong hunted for meat and set traps, usually for small and easy prey like rabbits or scorpions. They won't say no if they see an insured or outcast worldkin. The weak and old cared for the children and taught them about the world. And the bored ones would look for a few worms to snack on or train their abilities as well as they could. But suddenly, the hunter who was in the jungle cried out with all his might for us to flee.

We were confused. That never happened before. Why would we need to flee? No worldkin around here should be that desperate, and we didn't trigger the curse of the world on another worldkin either. Something must have happened. Then I heard thunder but saw no lightning or even clouds. I wanted to go and check since Hunter was a kind and caring man. But suddenly, my mother grabbed me with her talons and flew as fast as she could.. away from our home. Out of nowhere, information flooded my brain. I got angry, wrathful. I could see my brethren getting slaughtered thru their eyes, massacred like a game. Some weren't even finished off, just laid on the ground, waiting to bleed out or lose consciousness. The pain, the hatred, I felt it all. "I NEEDED TO GO BACK," so I struggled in my mother's grasp wanting to help them. Out of nowhere, fire came crashing down on my mother, and we fell and crashlanded in the dirt. My mother embraced me and protected me from the fall. Fire? Fire cant fly?? What is happening?

"Mom"

"Mom!"

"Mooom, we need to go and help them. My sister, my brother! Everyone!"

"Mom?"

"Hey, mom, please don't joke around.."

"I need you."

"Soon is my 4th birthday. You promised me you'd show me around the jungle!"

You promised to show me the sea when we migrate..."

"Mommy, please respond.."

When I suddenly felt more vigorous, I knew what was happening...

Every brethren slain is fuel for our power.

Every brethren tortured fuels our knowledge.

For every kin gone, your doom inches closer.

For those are the rules of this world.
