chapter-10

"Headmaster, is that true?" Olive asked as she clutched the letter to heart.

"It is, governor Maximilian, magic is surely a mysterious phenomenon, this is my first time seeing a squib turning out as a wizard." Dumbledore muttered, "but there is something you must do."

Olive maintained her back and stared at the old wizard. She knew what kind of wizard this old man sitting in front of her was.

"This child might Face danger so you must keep that little information to yourself."

Olive immediately understood what Dumbledore was trying to say, if this matter is to be leaked there will be many hidden forces emerging to experiment on Noah. But there was still a problem, The ministry for magic Knew about Noah's phenomenal magic awakening wouldn't they try to exert their authority to gain Benefit from this?

As this kind of marvel was something unimaginable even for the old fogeys who wasted their whole life in search of a Breakthrough.

"What about the ministry, did they show any kind of interest in Noah's sudden awakening?" olive asked hopefully.

Dumbledore stared into Olive's eyes for a second and then sighed heavily.

"A request was made with the letter."

"What kind of Request Headmaster?" olive asked as her heartbeat grew rapidly.

"It's a request Related to young Noah's unique constitution," Dumbledore said dryly.

"So they are really after him." Olive muttered as her expression darkened.

"I would see this as an opportunity, governor Maximilian." Dumbledore said in a serious tone.

"Are you serious Dumbledore, he is just a child and as his sister, I don't even know if he's really fine or not and you want me to make a deal Regarding that child with those power hungry Beasts." olive said as her voice got a little louder.

"You don't have to be that straight with those Remarks, First Read this then make your decision." Dumbledore smiled dryly and handed her a parchment.

Olive quickly grabbed the parchment and started Reading it, the more she read the angrier she got, she threw the parchment on the table and stared at Dumbledore with Bloodshot eyes.

"Blood and mana essence, Is this what they are truly after?" she muttered and continued, "Do they think this little of my Maximilian family?

The mana essence is a sacred part of a wizard's whole being so providing it to someone else was equal to laying out all of the secrets in front of an enemy.

"Governor Maxmillian, you're narrowing your views in anger, I know that giving those things might weaken his constitution for some time But this is also a great opportunity." Dumbledore reminded her softly.

"Great opportunity, no, i can not take that chance, That process might kill That child." Olive muttered as she tried to Rack her mind for solutions.

The old wizard stared at yet another young witch who was ready to face an unimaginable force to protect someone who might not even be her real Brother, wasn't this the true essence of magic called love?

"Wizengemot, yes I'll appeal there, They hold some power over the ministry," Olive muttered as she tried to catch a straw of hope.

"sigh." Dumbledore sighed as he saw Olive getting strangled in her own thoughts, he gradually picked up his wand and swished it toward her, a second later a silver-coloured energy shot out of the wand and engulfed her.

Olive's mind's acceleration increased all of a sudden as her thoughts started getting tangled into one another But a moment later her mind went completely silent as if every single of her thoughts were pushed out of her mind.

She felt like a free spirit who wasn't shackled to any unnecessary thoughts. But soon enough that hazy comfort vanished and she saw the old man's wrinkly face which was currently smiling at her warmly.

"Did you calm down, governor Maxmilian?" Dumbledore took another approach and decided to address her by name.

"Yes, thank you." Olive said politely, as she was blinded by her own thoughts above which she had overreacted a little bit which made her a little guilty.

"About you going for an appeal, I don't approve of that." Dumbledore said as he waved his wand and a cup of tea appeared on the table which he gave to olive.

"Of course, I've valid reasons behind declining it, the first one is Young Noah is not judged under any crime or petty offence so if you want to go there you'll have to state the reason which you are supposed to hide."

Now that Olive's mind was clear she could see the flaws of her narrow thinking and what disastrous backlash her step might cause to her little brother.

"The important reason for my declining is that if they accept your appeal for a hearing and ministry for magic claims that Noah's blood and mana essence could work as fertility for future generations who wouldn't have to face a problem which is called being a squib." Dumbledore explained.

"Can they really p-prove that?" Olive asked.

"Miss Maxmilian, wizengamot never drives itself on a true or false basis, its only fuel is upgradation, if the majority thinks that this thesis will give the wizarding world true prosperity they wouldn't hesitate to give the ministry for magic a green signal." Dumbledore cleared out the last line of her defence.

« Ha, here I was thinking that only our era was inconsiderate toward the younger generation but now it seems I was wrong »

Suddenly a woman's voice descended upon the office.

Olive raised her head and looked at the portraits of the late Headmasters and headmistress, where an old woman was staring dagger at Dumbledore.

"Professor Dilys, only time changes people stay the same forever." Dumbledore remarked.

« Is that so, I've heard that you've quite an influence in Wizengamot and that new idiot of a minister who visited St. Mungo doesn't that buffalo sends you tens of letter for guidance daily »

"Cough. Cough."

Dumbledore coughed dryly as he knew that professor Dilys would even lay out whole details if he didn't intervene, it wasn't that she had ill will towards this Headmaster but she was a former st. Mungo's head, who had seen many gruesome children's and many others deaths so for her it was an easy decision for her to abandon the secrecy of the Headmaster for a child as the connection to minister was not of a big problem, but it would help Olive get a more clear condition regarding her brother.

"Ahem, Professor Dilys, that's exactly how I managed to reach these terms." Dumbledore said.
