As I walked into the small workshop I had built over the past year, I was greeted by the familiar smells of wood shavings and metal. I made my way over to my workbench, where I had laid out all of the materials I would need for the builds I had in mind. I sat down and prepared the material and tools I need for my current build.

An Atlatl. They are a type of spear thrower that allows the user to throw a spear with greater force and accuracy. They were used by ancient humans to hunt large animals, such as mammoths and bison, and they were instrumental in the success of early human societies.

I had attempted to build one before, but my efforts had always ended in failure. But I was determined to succeed this time. I knew that with the right tools and materials, I could create an Atlatl that would increase our fighting capabilities and help protect our village from danger.

I started by selecting a piece of wood for the handle. It needed to be strong and durable, but also comfortable to hold. I settled on a piece of oak, which had a good balance of strength and weight.

Next, I cut the wood to the appropriate size and shape, using a saw and chisels to carefully shape it.  It was tough work, and my small hands struggled with the saw's movement, but I was determined to get it just right.

Once the handle was complete, I moved on to the Atlatl head. This was the part that would hold the spear and help guide it as it was thrown. I chose a piece of bone for the head, as it was strong and lightweight.

I carefully carved and shaped the bone, making sure that it fit snugly onto the end of the handle. It was a delicate process, as I didn't want to break the bone or ruin the shape of the Atlatl.

Finally, with the Atlatl complete, I took it outside to test it out. I selected a spear from my collection and placed it in the Atlatl head. Then, taking a deep breath, I stepped back and threw the spear as hard as I could.

To my delight, the spear flew through the air with a satisfying whoosh, much farther than I could have thrown it by hand. I was thrilled with the results of my work, and I knew that the Atlatl would be a valuable tool in hunting and self-defense.

After hours of work, I finally finished my Atlatl. It wasn't perfect, but it was strong and well-crafted. I couldn't wait to show it to the village elder and prove that humans could still use primitive weapons to defend themselves.

I walked into the council hall, my heart racing with excitement. The elder looked up at me as I approached, and I saw a flicker of interest in his eyes.

"Adam, have you completed the task I assigned to you?" he asked.

"No, I didn't complete that task," I said, holding up the Atlatl. "But I did create something that could help us in the fight against the goblins. It's called an Atlatl. It's a type of spear thrower that allows the user to throw a spear with greater force and accuracy."

I held out the Atlatl for the elder to examine. He looked at it with interest, running his fingers over the handle and the head.

The elder's eyes widened in amazement as he watched the spear land with a satisfying thud. "It's an interesting invention," he said, a hint of admiration in his voice. "I've never seen anything like it before. It seems you have a talent for crafting, But how does it work?"

I picked up a spear and placed it in the Atlatl head. Then, taking a deep breath, I stepped back and threw the spear as hard as I could. It flew through the air with a satisfying whoosh, much farther than I could have thrown it by hand.

"See?" I said, grinning. "It gives us an advantage in combat. And if we mass produce these, even women and children could help defend the village by throwing spears from the walls."

He was clearly surprised, as even though humans in this world are generally stronger than those on Earth, a small child like myself shouldn't be able to throw a spear that far. His eyes widened in amazement as he watched the spear fly through the air, its trajectory straight and true.

"Adam, that was impressive," he said, a look of surprise on his face. "I've never seen a child throw a spear that far before, especially not someone as young as your ."

The elder looked thoughtful, and I could see the wheels turning in his head.

"It's a clever idea, Adam," he said. "But we'll have to test it out before we can fully consider using it in battle. Can you demonstrate it again?"

I nodded and picked up another spear. I threw it with the Atlatl, and it flew straight and true, hitting the trunk of a tree with a satisfying thud. The elder nodded in approval.

"Well done, Adam," he said. "I think you may have found a way to help us in the fight against the goblins. We'll have to discuss this further with the council, but I think we may have a new weapon in our arsenal."

I grinned with pride, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over me. I had done it - I had created something that could help protect our village. And who knows, maybe one day I would be able to join the search party and fight alongside the other warriors, using my Atlatl to defend our home and keep our people safe.

Before I could say anything, there was a commotion outside the council hall. The search party had returned, and from the sounds of it, they were wounded and in need of help.

I rushed outside, followed by the elder and the other council members. The search party was just coming through the gates, their faces grim and their bodies covered in sweat and dirt.

"Quickly, get the witch doctor!" one of the soldiers shouted, his voice laced with panic. "We were attacked by a group of goblins. They have a goblin Shaman!"
