Jin-hyeok Choi grumbled as he followed Jin-hee Baek into a peculiar café named Café Wizard.

“It doesn’t matter where we have coffee, coffee is coffee, why are you making such a big deal over this?”

“Ah, just shut up and follow me. I’m telling you; my friend said this place is awesome.”

Jun-hyeok took a look at the guy behind the counter, Tae-soo, and smirked.

“It’s understandable. For people who nit-pick over looks.”

Jin-hee followed Jin-hyeok’s gaze towards the guy behind the counter and her eyes turned slightly serious.

“I didn’t hear anything about that kind of part-timer though.”

An insidious smile was forming across Jin-hyeok’s face.

“There she goes again. Although, I will admit it this time. He is very good-looking.”

“I’ll have to get his number.”

“Will he give it to me if I ask? At that level, his standards will probably be as high as Mount Everest.”

“A woman approached him first, of course he’ll give it. You yourself know that you’ve never been rejected.”

He knows her well. He knows her too well, that’s the problem.

Even though Jin-hee was the type to approach a guy she likes, she was not one to obsess over him.

She’d meet him casually and without any particular skinship T/N Skinship: any form of physical contact for example, holding hands, kissing etc would just half-heartedly end the relationship.

“Hey, you’re causing harm to men like that. If you keep it up you’ll be punished later.”

“What do you mean by causing harm? I’m so good to them though.”

“Of course, you are. Giving them false hope.”

As Jin-hyeok said that, he looked at Tae-soo with slight pity in his eyes.

While praying that Tae-soo did not suffer Jin-hee’s evil influence.

Jin-hee stood in front of the counter and spoke confidently.

“I want that person to take my order, is that possible?”

“Excuse me?”

Seo-young, who was standing at the counter, looked at Jin-hee with an expression of bewilderment mixed with panic. And reflexively turned her head to look at Tae-soo.

Tae-soo had been looking at Jin-hee and Jin-hyeok at that time, so his gaze was towards the counter. So, at Jin-hee’s words, he immediately rose from his seat.

“I’ll do it.”

At Tae-soo’s words, Seo-young stepped aside.

As soon as Tae-soo stood at the counter, with a dark expression, Jin-hee smiled with her eyes.

“2 cups of hot Americano please.”

As Jin-hee was speaking, she took out her card and slipped her business card under it.

Tae-soo checked out the business card that was now in his hand.

On the business card was written the job: Director of the Special resources management department with the name Jin-hee Baek.

“What is this?”

At Tae-soo’s question, Jin-hee put on an even darker smile as she answered.

“Give me a call. We can meet up for a meal or something, is that okay?”

With an expression of insignificance, Tae-soo placed the business card inside his pocket.

“I’ll think about it.”

Jin-hee nodded her head satisfied.

“I’ll be waiting. Please be as fast as possible.”

Even though he had said he’d think about it, Jin-hee was sure that he would contact her by the end of the day. That’s because that’s what every guy she had given her business card to did.

Jin-hee swiftly turned and gestured with her chin to Jin-hyeok. And then sat down somewhere that was distant from Tae-soo but where she still had a clear view of him.

Jin-hyeok let out a sigh and sat down in front of her.

With her elbows on the table and her hands cupping her chin, Jin-hee quietly stared at Tae-soo.

Tae-soo left the counter to Seo-young and returned to his original spot and picked up an academic paper.

He could hear Seo-young grumbling in a low voice.

“You must be kidding. Ha. Ultimately, that kind of woman ended up appearing.”

This being something that has never happened, Seo-young let out a sigh filled with complicated feelings. Actually, she was also a little flustered.

The reason why something like this had never really happened before was because of the magic placed around the store and the reason Jin-hee had acted like that was because she hadn’t been affected by the magic yet.

Not knowing that, she became flustered.

The other part-timer, Seo-hyun, also had the same facial expression as Seo-young. Although she had been absentmindedly making a drink order, she had heard everything that Jin-hee had said.

A strange atmosphere ran through the store. Everyone in the store was thinking the same thing.

Feeling that atmosphere, Tae-soo slightly frowned.

Because of Jin-hee’s actions just now, part of the magic that was firmly hanging in the store shook.

This was one of the weaknesses of mind magic

Of course, if the magic is strong, these sorts of weaknesses don’t stand out, however there still remains the possibility of issues arising to the people affected by the magic.

The magic in this store was placed to meet the conditions of these possibilities as little as possible.

So, the magic didn’t work on wizards Jin-hee and Jin-hyuk.

Dozens of strands of mana threads came out of Tae-soo’s mana core, located in his chest.

These dozens of threads had been stuck one each, on magic circles around the store.

While working on that, Tae-soo examined Jin-hee and Jin-hyeok. The two of them had no idea what was happening at that moment.

It meant that there was a significant magic level difference. Also, even though it was a fix for the current situation, Tae-soo was also carrying out a sort of test on the two.

Supplying mana to the magic circles, the magic was strengthened in an instant.

The strange atmosphere that had filled the café slowly died down. And as always, the place quieted down.

After settling the situation, Tae-soo once again returned to browsing through academic papers. Jin-hee’s gaze, just as it had been, was directed towards him. However, he didn’t even turn his head in that direction.

Although his fingers were browsing through academic papers, his mind was entirely concentrated on Jin-hee and Jin-hyuk.

It had been 6 years since he had entered the world of magic.

Even though in that time, he had searched for any wizards to no avail, now two had appeared.

Looking at those two people, Tae-soo understood why he had never found any wizards.

The level of mana those two had was too little.

If other wizards were similar to those two, then it’s pretty obvious that he would not have been able to find them at that time.

If by chance, he had absentmindedly passed those two on the street, he would not be able to sense it at all.

Regular people who are not wizards also have a level of mana.  That means there’s a level of mana that constitutes living organisms.

The mana active in living things plays a role in tuning the human body in its entirety. It also played a role in connecting the body and the soul.

Most people have about the same amount of mana.

However, those two had two times more mana than the average person.

That level of mana is something one could never have naturally.

Even if someone had more mana than the average person, the extra mana on average is no more than 10%. With only that extra 10%, that person would exhibit far more outstanding abilities than others.

Their mental capacity might get better and might be remarkable physically.

However, 2 times more? If you’re not a wizard, you could never possess that amount of mana.

Of course, from Tae-soo’s perspective, even if their status was low for wizards, they were extremely low.  Wizards like that, would be swept away in one fell swoop even if you had a truck load of them.

However, it was important that a wizard like that appeared.

Because if there are weak wizards, then there will be strong wizards.

‘But will really strong wizards really exist?’

You are reading story I am a Wizard at novel35.com

You never know, those two could be the average for wizards.

Meanwhile, the detection magic that Tae-soo had used to search for wizards had been set to a minimum of half his current mana level.

If it wasn’t set to that standard, the mana used during the execution of the magic would be too great making it impossible to continue.

Perhaps, even as a strong wizard, they may not be able to use even half the amount of mana that Tae-soo has.

Between Tae-soo’s thoughts and him browsing through academic papers, the coffee came out.

With a gesture of the chin, Jin-hee ordered Jin-hyeok to go grab the coffees and Jin-hyeok, while grumbling, got up and brough the coffee. It was because he didn’t want to squabble about such a trivial thing with Jin-hee.

Jin-hee was a really annoying and tiresome person once she flipped out.

“It smells quite nice.”

Jin-hee mumbled as she drank a sip of the coffee. Her eyes dilated instantly.

And an exclamation flowed out of Jin-hyeok’s mouth, who had also drunk a sip of the coffee.

“Oh my god. It’s amazing.”

Actually, Jin-hyeok didn’t really understand the taste of coffee. To him, it was merely just bitter water.

However, this coffee was different. It wasn’t just something else; it was distinctly different.

A complicated taste and scent flowed from the mouth through the nasal cavity and shook your brain.

Jin-hyeok reflexively turned his head and checked the other customers.

However, it could have been because they were regular customers or they just didn’t know the taste of coffee but they didn’t have any particular reactions.

‘Still, even with the taste being this amazing, they don’t have any reactions?’

Lastly, Jin-hyeok’s gaze lingered slightly on Jin-hee.

Jin-hee had gently closed her eyes and was savouring the scent.

“Hey, you should at least buy a meal or something for the friend who recommended this place. It’s amazing.”

Jin-hee nodded at Jin-hyeok’s words.

“I was gonna do that anyway. For me to not have known about this place. It feels like I was losing out.”

Every time the two of them took a sip of the coffee, admiration flowed out. People sitting nearby peeked at them since they were making such a fuss.

They agreed that the coffee here was delicious but it wasn’t to the level that warranted such a fuss.

Even if you brought a coffee from another brand, there’s no way it would be more delicious than the coffee here.

There was a distinct difference to the coffee here that even if you did a blind test, you could easily find this café’s coffee.

However, saying that, it wasn’t that huge of a difference. If the price became slightly more expensive, I would be concerned.

The coffee here at Café Wizard was exactly that level.

However, Jin-hee and Jin-hyeok’s reaction was overboard even for an overreaction.

“Why are they making such a fuss?”

Someone mumbled to themselves.

Even though it was so quiet that even the person directly in front didn’t hear it, Jin-hee and Jin-hyeok were not regular people.

The two of them simultaneously turned their gaze to look at the person who had just spoken.

Jin-hee smirked looking at the person, their head flustered as soon as their eyes locked.

With the meaning of not needing to care about such useless things, Jin-hee once again savoured her coffee.

She had found the coffee of her life today.

After she had drank half of the coffee, she took out her phone and opened the group chat that the friend who had introduced this café was also in.

At the moment she left a message saying ‘it’s really delicious, I should treat you to a meal later’, her friends replied in a flurry.

- Did you see the boss of that café?

- He’s more amazing than the coffee.

- I know right. I want to talk to him at least once but I can’t get myself to do it.

- Jin-hee probably would do it.

- Try it. You could have a drink with him. Who knows?

Jin-hee tilted her head as she read the conversation that had poured in in an instant.

“Boss? I haven’t seen him though.”

And amongst all the chatter, no one had mentioned anything about the taste of the coffee. She didn’t understand it.

Jin-hee replied with her thoughts.

- The boss isn’t here. There is a part-timer who is ridiculously handsome though. By the way, the coffee here is amazing. You guys were drinking this without me? I’m sad.

As soon as she sent the quite long message, replies came flooding back.

Jin-hee was startled at seeing the words ‘that part-timer is probably the boss’, so she took a look at Tae-soo.

No matter how you look at it, he seems too young to be the boss of this café.

‘Is he a rich kid perhaps?’

Also, there was nothing said about the coffee this time either.

‘Have they all lost it due to not meeting enough good guys? Why are they like this?’

They usually talked about guys but they were being a bit too enthusiastic.

Of course, it’s not like she didn’t understand their reaction at all. Because Tae-soo’s looks were just that amazing.

However, even so, they were being a bit extreme.

So, she sent a message that she had given Tae-soo her business card and that if he calls later she’ll have a meal with him in the group chat.

The reaction was wild.

From then, private messages started to flood in.

The content was the same. When you have dinner with him, invite me too.

“What’s wrong with these guys?”

Jin-hee furrowed her brows at the reaction of her friends which was different than usual.

At the moment she started to feel strange about the whole thing, she took a sip of the coffee and like a lie her mood got better.

“Haa. This might become addictive.”

“I think so too. I think I’ll probably come here 3 times a day from now on.”

Jin-hee nodded vigorously at Jin-hyeok’s words. She without a doubt thought the same.

While drinking the coffee, she barely even looked at Tae-soo.

If it weren’t for the messages with her friends, she probably would have even forgotten he was there until she had finished drinking the coffee.

After she had finished her coffee, Jin-hee went to the counter and ordered another coffee to take out.

Receiving the coffee and before heading out, Jin-hee looked Tae-soo straight in the eye and spoke.

“I’ll be waiting for your call. If calls aren’t your thing, even a message will do. Got it?”

Not even waiting for Tae-soo’s reply, Jin-hee left the café.

After motionlessly looking at Jin-hee, who had left the café, he got up from his seat.

“I’m not feeling too well today so I’ll clock out early.”

Upon hearing that he wasn’t feeling well, Seo-young and Seo-hyun fussily urged him to quickly go.

While begging him to make sure to take some medication and get some rest.

Tae-soo smiled at the two girls and went outside.

He didn’t see Jin-hee and Jin-hyeok. However, he wasn’t worried.

Because the two of them were still clumsy wizards who didn’t even know that they were leaving traces.

Carefree, Tae-soo followed the reverberation of mana left on the street.
