“Is that all?”

Those three simple words had caused everyone in the entire room to freeze.

Next to me, Liandra hovered in the air. Poison miasma swirled around her hands in a controlled manner. If it was taking her any effort to contain, it certainly didn’t show on her face.

I smirked as my heightened vision took in the desperate disbelief of our twenty-something opponents before us. I could see each individual bead of sweat that ran down their cheeks.

Of course, none of them would’ve expected an outcome like this. After all, we were just nobodies before this very moment.

Honestly, a confrontation of this scale wasn’t exactly part of the plan that Liandra and I had haphazardly thrown together, but... Whatever. As long as we were causing chaos, it didn’t matter that much.

Besides, the most amusing part was that this whole thing was sparked from a simple confrontation in the academy’s cafeteria.

Really, schools never changed.

Earlier, Liandra and I had headed to the cafeteria after we heard the familiar chime of the bell. Thanks to having ditched class, we arrived a little earlier than the other students who were just coming from their classes.

The rest was pretty mundane. We got our food and sat down, making a bit of small talk now that the wall between us was starting to come down.

Students slowly began trickling into the cafeteria. As they received their food, the seats began filling up. That was when the trouble began.

“You’re in our seat.”

It was obvious that the speaker was used to having their orders followed. Unfortunately for them, neither Liandra or I were in the mood to care.

I glanced upward, my eyes alighting on a tall boy with short blonde hair. His blue eyes shone brilliantly like multi-faceted sapphires. Back on Earth, he’d probably be considered handsome.

However, his attitude was absolute trash. He didn’t even know the first thing about us and he was already sneering at us. I knew the look in his eyes very well. In fact, it was something that I had been commonly subjected to in my previous life.

That’s how I knew he was exactly the same as them even with a cursory glance.

“Sorry. We’ll leave,” I began. I stood up, but made no move to leave the seat. “Is that what you thought I’d say? We don’t even know who the hell you are.”

The boy frowned. He was older than both of us, so I guessed that he was probably in his second or third year here at the academy. For a second, he looked rather surprised at my belligerence, but I could see a spark of realization begin to form in his eyes.

“Ah, you’re first-years, aren’t you? Well, you’re in luck. I’ll let you off for today, but this table is reserved for the student council.”

Now, it was my turn to frown. If that was true, he wouldn’t have been so overbearing. Besides, I didn’t even see any distinctive markings on the table or the seats attached to it.

“Who says?”

“...Oh, my apologies. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Eckhart reg Marcello, the student council president, and I am the one who is saying that this table is reserved for us.”

I sighed. I didn’t know why he was making such a big deal over a fuckin’ table. It really wasn’t that deep, but not only was this a common trope that I saw in all works of fiction, it was also something that actually happened in reality back on Earth.

“Good for you. It’s a goddamn table, go find another one.”

Before he could utter his retort, a voice came from behind him. A muscular boy shouldered his way through the small crowd that had formed around our table. If not for his youthful face, I would’ve thought that he was a combat instructor or something of the sort.

“Something wrong, Eckhart?” The boy asked, glancing at us curiously.

Two other students flanked him, and now that I looked closely, I noticed that Eckhart and the three new arrivals were wearing identical lapel pins which took the form of a stylized version of the school’s logo.

Well, it looks like they probably are part of the student council in this case. But seriously? Is this one of those “absurdly powerful student council” tropes?

I spared a glance toward Liandra while Eckhart filled in his stooges. She was assessing the situation calmly, and she appeared to be completely relaxed, even finishing her meal intermittently.

It was unsurprising to say the least. Unbound, Liandra could probably annihilate the entire student body and most of the instructors without even breaking a sweat. Even without her magic, I doubted that these brats could pose a challenge to her.

In fact, I was about to go and pick up my half-eaten sandwich until I felt a hand on my shoulder. The grip was strong, but only on the standards of an average human.

The larger boy was holding me tightly, his eyes fixed on me as he attempted to produce a threatening aura.

Honestly, I didn’t know where his confidence came from. The moment he arrived, I was pretty sure that he was the muscle of the group. Now that Eckhart was hanging back and letting his man do all the work, that was pretty much confirmed.

“Since you’re a first-year, I won’t be too harsh on you for not knowing the rules of this academy. As the student council, we act as the rector’s hands and eyes. This may seem like a simple matter to you, but know that the issue is not the table. Rather, it is that you are defying the will of the student council, and by extension, the rector.”

“Ah...” I dropped my gaze to the ground, hiding the twisted smile that had grown on my face after hearing his words. This was the perfect chance to kickstart the arbitrary plan that Liandra and I had come up with.

Step one was simply taking over the academy. Where would we go after that? Well, we honestly had no idea, but we figured that we’d simply cross that bridge when we got there.

“Do you finally understand? Now—”

“Get your filthy hand off my shoulder.” My gaze snapped back up, meeting his eyes. There was no fury or malice in my eyes. I didn’t even bother emitting killing intent.

He wasn’t worthy of anything other than the indifferent annoyance that I felt at the moment. I mean, I couldn’t even call him my opponent. After all, he was little more than an insect to me.

The moment they approached me, I’d already looked them over with [Complete Analysis]. They had a plethora of class levels and skills, but all of them would be useless against me.

It was obvious that they were children of nobility and had acquired such abilities through the wealth of their parents. Just a cursory look at their stats told me that they hadn’t trained a day in their life.

This only became more obvious as the boy froze up. He hadn’t moved ever since our eyes had met. Even though the rest of the student council were nothing more than just kids who threw their social weight around, I was willing to bet that the boy in front of me had been in a few scuffles at the very least.

His reaction was understandable. He was probably used to being listened to, and if anyone defied him, he would put them down with overwhelming force.

But he had forgotten something very important while he abused his strength at this academy. Not only was it just a tiny portion of the world, but more importantly, all it took to defeat a strong person was to be stronger than them.

And at last, he had encountered that insurmountable wall of strength. The wall known as me. Mikado motherfuckin’ Ryuuko.

“I told you... to get your filthy fuckin’ hand off of me.” I grabbed his wrist, and without waiting for a response, casually threw him across the room.

He barreled into a few empty tables and seats before coming to a rest against the ground, dazed and confused.

There was a moment of silence before everyone in the room gasped with shock. I simply smirked. It was just like this back on Earth too.

No one expected me to be strong.

But that served to make my fighting back all the more impactful. My grin only widened as I saw the telltale signs of magic being prepared by the three remaining members of the student council.

This kind of overwhelming power that I now possessed reminded me of the disgusting way that God had created the world that I came from. It was a sort of authority that no one could oppose. Your fate was decided at the very moment you were born.

Right now, the strength that I wielded wasn’t so different.

“Come on then, you little shits. I’m going to show you what a god looks like.”
