The most important thing before entering combat was information. I’d learned that the hard way back when I had to deal with the Black Constellation.

Now, I can’t say that I knew much about these kids other than their stats and skills, but that didn’t really matter.

Overwhelming strength was the name of the game here. Besides, it wasn’t me who was lacking in information.

“Get on your knees right now, or she gets it!” A loud voice came from behind me, causing me to stop and turn.

“She gets it”? What the hell kind of threat is that? Where do you think we are? Elementary school?

One of the student council members had an arm wrapped around Liandra, holding her tightly while brandishing a blade formed with lightning magic in front of her face.

I smirked. He couldn’t have chosen a worse target, but I guess he didn’t exactly have any other choices.

Honestly, I doubted that he actually had the balls to hurt her, but I wasn’t taking any chances.

Due to her collar, Liandra wasn’t actually allowed to use magic or attack anyone other than her target, which was supposedly the academy’s rector. However, with my permission, she’d be able to act freely.

“Kick his ass, Liandra.”

Liandra’s collar glowed a bright purple mere moments after those words left my lips, expanding until its radius was large enough to pass over her head easily. It rose and hovered slightly above her head like a violet halo.

As impressive as it looked, this function of the collar was actually supposed to act as a beacon of sorts, alerting others to the fact that a criminal had been freed from their restrictions without the collar having been completely removed.

“W-What the hell!?” The student council member’s grip loosened slightly as he stared at the floating torus in front of him in surprise.

A second later and he fell to the ground, unconscious. Despite Liandra’s small build, her strength was still more than enough to knock out an untrained kid.

Liandra frowned, cupping her wrist as she grimaced. “I don’t know how you can go around punching people like that. It hurts like hell.”

“You just get used to it. Now then, what’ll we—”

I stopped mid-sentence, not because I was suddenly attacked, but rather the opposite. The crowd that had gathered around us was now dispersed, and the student council members who had just been engaged in combat with us were now standing far from our position.

Instead, they had been replaced by three individuals, one of which I recognized as the instructor who had been picking on Liandra due to her status as a criminal.

I didn’t mean to glorify cults, nor did I approve of Liandra’s activities while she was still a member of the Black Constellation, but I sincerely doubted that the best way to rehabilitate a former criminal was singling her out in the middle of her peers.

I mean, if Liandra had actually led a normal life instead of being raised in a goddamn cult, she’d probably be attending this shitty academy. Thanks to her cute looks, she’d probably be a normie right now.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the world that we lived in.

“Just what do you think you’re doing?” The instructor’s every word was laced with acid as she stared down at me. It was clear that she thought I was just another troublemaker who had some measure of talent.

But damn, was she about to fuck around and find out.

What the hell was her name again? Ah, that’s right. Beatrice Vander. If I recall correctly, that’s one of the larger noble houses from the Ardene Kingdom.

“I’m teaching these assholes some respect, ‘cause clearly, no one’s gotten down to it ‘round these parts.”

Liandra’s heels clacked against the hardwood floor of the cafeteria as she strode up next to me. “What the hell are you doing?” She whispered.

“Fuckin’ shit up. What the hell do you think?”

Liandra’s brow furrowed. “You think you can beat three instructors?”

I blinked at her, thoroughly surprised. I mean, I knew for a fact that she was far stronger than any of them, but I realized she wouldn’t have any idea since she lacked any skills that would allow her to gauge the strength of her opponent.

I smirked. I guess I’d just have to show her firsthand how weak they truly were.

Beatrice primarily focused on offensive magic. Her class levels were decently high, sitting at around the twenties. In total, she had around sixty class levels, all of which were magic-focused and granted her a plethora of offensive skills like [Pyroclasm] or [Ruinous Spike].

In short, she was pretty much useless against me since I’d taken the time to raise my [Magic Resistance] skill during the past two months after I learned that it’d stack with [Demonic Enhancement]’s own [Magic Resistance].

The other two instructors were pretty insignificant too.

One of them was a combat course instructor, meaning that he’d probably put up a better fight when it came to close-quarters. However, he was unarmed and his strength stat was woefully lower than mine.

The last instructor focused on magic much like Beatrice, but his class levels and skills were clearly assigned to more of a support role. However, he was the one that worried me the most. He didn’t really pose much of a threat on his own, but one of his skills was [Summon Monster], and it was a rather high level as well.

If he actually ended up using it out of desperation, I doubted that we’d come away clean. I mean, it wasn’t really the monster that I was worried about. Rather, it was the collateral damage that would ensue as a result of our fight.

If I ended up destroying the cafeteria, I was pretty sure that it’d cause an international incident since I was technically supposed to be a part of Princess Sella’s retinue.

Oh well, we’ll figure that shit out later.

I stared at the instructors who had been taken aback by my earlier statement. Clearly, they weren’t used to being treated with such disrespect, but I wasn’t done yet.

I raised one hand toward them, beckoning toward them flippantly.

“All of you. Come at me at once.”
