Chapter 2: Chapter- 2

As I am flying back a warning appears in my mind.

'WARNING BLOOD LEVELS AT 50% REFILL RECOMMENDED'

As a vampire I assume I have to drink blood but does it have to be direct or can it be from blood bags or something?

"Help! Somebody please help!"

What's that? Somebody is in trouble. Should I help them? It will be a good opportunity to test my strength. Flying down to where the voice came from I land on a lamp post looking around. After a few seconds I find a woman who is being robbed in an alley.

Spreading my wings again I fly towards them. Upon reaching them I grab the assailant by the shoulders with my talons and fly up. I drop him when I reach the top of the buildings. He falls to the ground landing on his back. After a few seconds he tries to get back up but before he can I dive down onto him.

I slam him back into the ground holding him down by the shoulders. Without thinking about it I sink my fangs into his neck. I ignore his screams as the red liquid flows into my mouth and I savour every drop. Slowly his life drains from his body to power mine.

When I am finished I find his body to be lifeless with a terrified expression Frozen on his face. Stabding up I find the woman to be unconscious probably from shock or something. Leaving them both behind I fly back to my summoner.

"Good morning Swyfla."

"Good morning mistress. I hope you slept well."

"I did. What did you do last night?"

"Not much mistress I just had a look around and checked to make sure everything is as it should be."

"Well I should be going to university soon."

"I shall accompany you then mistress."

"No need and you will stand out a bit."

I follow behind my mistress while invisible towards her University. It is a large and grand building with many people bustling about the grounds. We go through the entrance and down a few corridors until we reach the lecture theatre. On the door is a sign with maths written on it. Maths... my least favourite subject.

I stand at the back of the room listening to the dull lecture on algebra. I did find out that now I am an automaton I can work out any maths problem almost instantly while it takes the humans a few minutes for each.

The lecture is about polynomial long addition whatever that means. Its a long and complicated and useless piece of maths that most of the students seem to be stuck on. However my computer brain does it pretty much instantly.

An hour goes By and the lecture finally ends. Following my mistress outside we head down the corridor outside and into a garden like area. My mistress enters small shed and comes out a few minutes later wearing a beekeepers uniform. she walks behind Some trees where there are bee hives. For next hour or soo she tends to the bees.

Once she is finished she stands in the middle of the beehives. She pulls out a wand like stick and holds it in front of her. A few seconds later a light comes out of it surrounding her and the bees until it reforms into a single stream of light floating From the tip of the wand. She slowly moves it around the bees following.

This continues for a few minutes until she stops. Next she holds the wand in front of her and a magic looking circle appears at the end of the wand. It glows brighter until bees appear next to the circle. Soon they fly off and join the rest of the bees.

"I'm a bee mancer Swyfla. I can control, summon and create bees."

"That is an interesting and unique type of magic."

"It is. When a witch turns ten they gain a unique type of magic. No one knows what decides our unique magic or how but it is always unique in some way. Even if it is simple water magic there will be something that is unique about it. I for whatever reason am a beemancer. I can't do much but I want to explore the world and that's why I need you. Swyfla will you join me?"

She holds out her hand as the light shines down on her.

"I will my mistress. I will protect you to the best of my abilities and do what I can to help you gain strength."
