Chapter 21: Chapter 19-1 Aila

Behind the truck Aila lay down like a lifeless body and did not move at all. Aila can be seen floating in darkness with no light just her and an infinite darkness surrounding her.

"Domain connection established" 

A notification appeared out of thin air in front of her as she floated around in darkness. She faced the notification and tried to touch it with her finger. As soon as her finger reached the notification, a voice mail appeared and played the recorded message.

"You may not know me, and I don't know who you are, but my microchip received a distress signal, and I just tracked the signal and managed to connect to a data domain, and I know your situation. I'll try to help you because somehow I got your memories. I don't know how or why, but I know for sure that we were the same person, and I noticed multiple of us are trying to connect to this domain, but I managed to get in first." 

The voice keeps talking, as it was interrupted by a gunshot near the person who's talking.

"Sorry to end this short. I would love to talk to you, but I too am being chased by bounty hunters, so don't be mad if you make a contract with your host. Bye." 

As soon as the voice disappears, the notification disappears, and Aila floats again in complete darkness.

"Help them, little one, for I can't be of use to them in my current state."

A few hours after Aila received the notification, a small Aila was sitting on top of a ruined building, watching over the wasteland, looking for vehicle tracks.

"Stupid version of me trying to gather a group of ancient dolls—do you know that's a bad idea?" 

Small Aila murmurs to herself as she stands up from where she's sitting. A small structure and tatterd clothes with the identical face of Aila and the same hair color and red eyes on her back are signs of a sniper that shoots 100-caliber cartridges.

She saw a destroyed truck at the horizon where she was looking. She placed her rifle on the floor and laid down to snipe the trucks.

"Hmmm, over two and a half miles is too far for this weapon, but I got some tweaks I made." 

She aims for an armed soldier trying to hide behind the destroyed truck as Kyle's group is trying to escape using the armed soldier's truck.

"Don't hate me; I forgot this!" 

She pulled the rifle, and soon the rifle glows blue for a second, then releases a bullet at the speed of sound, speeding through the armored soldier's location. After 11.7 seconds, the bullet hits the armored soldier in the torso, ripping the soldier in half.

"Approximately 11.734028683 seconds of delay is not bad for that distance, but still, the delay is too long for the soldier to reposition to cover before I can get a clear shot."

She immediately gets up, pulls the lever of her rifle to eject the 100-caliber cartridges, picks up the rifle, places it on her back, and continues to observe the wasteland.

And she then walks towards the wasteland and puts on a camouflage cloak that makes her blend in with the scenery.
