After Reylin had returned to the beginner city, he silently entered Layla's house. He had keys and many means to casually enter her house, the shop.
Emilia returned back to her house.
She spoke with people from the church, then used a customer's way to enter Layla's magic shop.
Layla's shop was as crowded as ever.
Players just liked how convenient it was here.
Emilia glanced oddly at lazy Monica and then passed her to the second floor.
The second floor was where both ladies lived. As the shop and house owner, Layla had the most space, and her room was the biggest.
Reylin was already here.
He didn't look like his usual self as he was sitting with a different air swirling around him. He sporadically glanced at Layla, who had been silently sitting on the other side with her eyes low.
He took a sip of coffee prepared by Layla beforehand.
"So you are telling me that you've been going out secretly to exterminate a few minibosses on your own? On your own?" Reylin heaved another sigh.
Not only was his girlfriend worried about other people, but she was also worried about him! On his return to the Exodium City, Layla promptly asked whether he was doing fine with his troops.
She wasn't worried about his body but mental.
Regardless of how it was, Layla was much different compared to Emilia.
His first girlfriend spoiled him more, be it worrying or fulfilling his desires.
But it wasn't like Reylin hadn't spoiled Layla as well.
"I am here, though," Emilia tapped the wall, then entered the room.
Layla stood up and greeted her, "I've heard about you. Nice to meet you, priestess. I am Layla."
She smiled brightly at Emilia, then peeked at Reylin.
His casual visit to the church ended up as amusing as he thought since the priestess from here became his girlfriend.
They also had quite a thrilling journey, didn't they?
Emilia hugged Layla, "Just call me Emilia. That title particularly holds no meaning in my relationship with that pyromaniac. We are both the same! Though..." Emilia peeked at Reylin as well, "I didn't expect the first girlfriend to be too nice! So she was that worried about you?"
Reylin glared at them both, "To say nothing of the minibosses, Layla has one of the grand mages targeting her."
"Seriously?" Emilia stared in disbelief at Layla!
Both ladies took a seat next to the table, then Reylin explained his ire.
Although that grand mage hadn't targeted Layla in daylight, he used one of his people to thwart her business. One of the important resource providers was heavily limited, and it left Layla's business hurt.
But more than anything, Reylin knew that he was close to having enough strength to go to the whole Mage's Union from the Exodium City.
"I've won against that necromancer... Soon enough, we will be able to speak with that cheap mage together and punish him heavily," Reylin glared back at Layla.
Listening to him, Emilia understood Reylin's point.
However, Layla was also a woman who could level up! The fact that she defeated the minibosses on her own should've also pleased him. Peeking into his eyes, Emilia was sure that she was right.
Still, the grand mage targeting Layla was quite uncanny.
One wrong move, and it could end the worst!
Layla raised her eyes at Reylin and faced him with her character regardless of these two thoughts!
"It is not fair that you can respawn! I know it! But does that mean I can't go outside and fight on my own? Now that we are in a relationship, I must stay confined in the shop and keep the business going so that you can return and have me warmly welcome you? If that's all you want from me, then just put a slave collar on me!" Layla glared back at Reylin!
From the side, Emilia clenched her hands and supported her!
Layla continued, "I will do whatever my heart tells me to do! You are reckless, and so I am! I have that privilege because I am strong! I can level up and be also worried about you. I am a free woman unless you put a slave collar on me. Hmm... If you try to put on a collar, I will fight back and try to put on you instead, though."
Reylin just stared at her with no words bypassing his lips.
He didn't know what to say, actually.
It was a peculiar situation!
He had no experience with it, and he primarily said what he felt blunt.
But Layla's words forced Reylin to put himself in her place.
He imagined what he would do and feel should Aria confine him in his apartment without access to the game world... He even gave a reason for his mental or physical health!
'I would do all I could to get my flames back,' Reylin inwardly concluded.
He took a sip of coffee and glanced at Emilia.
She stared back at him with quite a teasing smile.
Their reactions differed from his participation in the dark matter kingdom event, but both believed in him. They followed their hearts and lived on in that dangerous world.
Reylin sighed, "Don't die, you stupid woman. I will have to go through an annoying resurrection arc if you die. That's not something I would rather go through."
"Whatever you mean, I am happy you understand me," Layla smiled brightly.
She left the table to fish out more snacks and drinks!
Meanwhile, Emilia smirked at Reylin, "That was cute. I should've expected your girlfriend to be similar to me! No way you can handle more than one tigress!"
"It's Lioness," Reylin corrected with blank eyes.
Emilia canted her head, "That was just an analogy."
"It just happened naturally... You expect me to take women based on their personalities alone... You used to be quite disappointing, and look how great you've turned out to be after some time with me," Reylin smirked.
"What do you mean by that?!" Emilia snapped.
"A priestess who was ready to die for her ascended... Now, you look forward to your life. A life with me. If that's not great, then what is it?" Reylin recalled the first days with his priestess, which shut her down.
Emilia blushed faintly, then looked in the opposite direction, "It is great."
Her mumbling pleased Reylin.
A silence ensued in the room, and the duo could only hear Layla doing her stuff in the kitchen.
Inwardly, Reylin knew that he was still too inexperienced to keep tigresses, as per Emilia's words. Emilia also became a tigress a few times since she wanted to progress and not pale in the background!
People changed, and so would he!
Reylin smirked.
In the future, he would get more tigresses, and if not, Reylin's current girlfriends would become ones with how the world revolved around him.
Perhaps, even the most rebellious one would see only him.
At that time, Layla returned with more snacks.
Seeing her and Emilia in one picture, Reylin snickered and silently eyed them. Inwardly, he thought about getting more experience.
With how the Faynom World treated polygamy, Reylin didn't find his idea wrong. And what did he have in mind? Threesome, of course.
Experience with women wasn't just about sword thrusting, so Reylin didn't reveal his thoughts yet, and enjoyed the time with ladies.
Emilia brought up what they had talked about during their trip here, "Shouldn't you tell her already?"
Layla blinked her eyes, waiting for Reylin.
He chuckled, "Open a shop in Tathum City, Layla."
"That's not a bad idea, but I lack funds..." Layla looked down sadly and a little ashamed.
It was nothing to be ashamed of, though.
She was an independent mage working alone for the majority of her time. Although Reylin could offer her some money and help, he couldn't sacrifice his whole time for her business! However, Reylin smiled, "I plan to create my own magic scrolls. After I deal with that even, I will-"
Layla chimed in, "Tell me more about the event instead! Everyone talks about it, you know?"
Reylin sighed again, scratching his hair, "Let me end first... I want you and a lazy woman to start living in Tathum City. I will explain this later, I guess..."
His girlfriend was more interested in the event, so Reylin kept his speech short.
Layla nodded, "I don't mind trying out a new city for a few months! And her name is Monica!"
Monica's name didn't really matter much for Reylin, and he asked Layla something more interesting, "You said that everyone talks about it... Players that come to the shop?"
"I heard it first from residents... Frankly, they talk more about it than players," Layla tilted her head as she pondered about it, "It's quite sus, isn't it?"
Reylin was about to answer, but a surprising system message flashed before his eyes.
