Sure enough Eel, Emily & her highness Icky didn’t need to wait long before they were guided to the top floor by a nervous looking human.

The halls they walked down were just as solidly built as the exterior hinted - stone bricks made up the walls while thick planks of wood were nailed down by bronze nails. Upon the walls were all matters of armaments presented proudly, none of them were what you’d see in the average nobles manor since they were built to be used not shown off. Under those armaments were the marble pillars you’d usually present a vase or such.

Instead of something as pointless as a vase though there was instead the skulls of various beasts no doubt hunted from the mountain range over the years. Many canine skulls were among them while also proudly presenting bovine, avian and even some vaguely resembling humans but on a far grander scale. There were even some that Eel knew all too well.

“Ooo~ look there is the skull of a [Giant Green Lizard] like the one I bravely defeated and there is also a wyvern skull - though it seems smaller than the one that escaped~!” <Eel>

With the dragoness pointing at skulls she recognised with wagging tails - exactly like a child walking by the window of a candy store. Even if the kid couldn’t get the candy at the moment they would still be secretly planning which candies they would get when they get the chance and for the monster hunter this was no different. She even turned to Emily who was currently following behind with one of Eel’s hands held between her hands which she rubbed with her face appearing sloppy while still languid; seemingly about to pass out in ecstasy.

“Say~ what do you think a [Bloodgull] like this one would taste like~?” <Eel>

Pointing towards a pillar holding a bird skull that was easily as big if not bigger than a grown man's hand on top. According to the information plaque underneath this was still an infant gull which showed how terrifying it was - this wasn’t even talking about the black calcified appearance of the bone that had terrifying crimson cracks that appeared like veins.

Someone who could recognise such would even realise it had a demonic aura radiating off even if not particularly large - well compared to Eel it was miniscule yet that wasn’t surprising. If a demon with stronger demonic energies than her turned up there was no way a big deal wouldn’t have happened. As it stood it appeared this was spawned from a demonic cultist who had been hunted down during the fight.

Unfortunately though Eel didn’t get any response from her girlfriend with the only response of any kind being a giggle which suited her race.

“Hehehe~... Soft~...” <Emily>

“Great; now even the only competent member of this retinue has been reduced to a bumbling ignoramus with a one-tracked ego.” <Promicarus>

Promicarus slowly cradled her forehead while shaking her head as she followed from beside the little cowcubus since she was technically rearguard as well. Hearing the girl's little comment made Eel puff up her cheeks while tilting her head back - glaring with an air of being wronged while flapping all her tails angrily. All except for the one trapped by Emily.

“Hey~ I will let you know I am a very competent team leader rubber tits~!” <Eel>

“Thine competence is greatly… Debatable.” <Promicarus>

Perceiving words weren’t going to do anything to convince the overhyped slime Eel merely snorted while focusing on admiring the skulls. Their guide wondered what the hell rubber was yet too afraid of the loose cannons to actually bring it up - luckily he wouldn’t need to guide them for too much longer. Coming up front was a pair of double doors which were produced from the wood of the surrounding woodland clearly showing the adventurers proficiency in using what they had available yet again.

“Oh~ this the place~?” <Eel>

“Yes!” <Guild Employee>

In his hurry to give a confirmation his voice ended up becoming more akin to a ‘yip’ than an actual response which gained him two confused looks (Emily too busy floofing). Despite their gazes he rocketted off before they could ask any questions making the two left just looking at each other instead. Elizabeth Jr. Bloofleaf just shrugged her shoulders before walking forth to push the doors forward only to find them a little stuck thus pushed again with maybe a little too much strength based on the *THUD*.

“What in Mother’s name is- oh… It’s you lot finally…” <Guild Branch Master>

With the office completely revealed to the trio they quickly found their attention pulled by separate things. This was to the point they didn’t even notice the [Muscle Bear] rug till they stepped on it - the hide far softer than one would think now that it no longer had the muscles for which it got its name. For the knowledgeable gyaru her attention quickly fell onto the orderly kept stone bookshelves on the left wall; from the looks of it these were actually reports for the various major events that had occurred over the long history of the town.

Eel on the other hand found her attention grabbed by the stone table along with pelt covered seats that sat around it. More accurately her attention was on the expensive looking bottle of brandy which made the dragoness lick her lips, it had been a while since she got to taste some of the adult juice after all. Still she managed to turn towards the voice who was directly across from them.

Upon a simple wooden chair with a simple stone desk with wooden accents was a wise looking old man who slowly combed through his long beard. It was easy for Eel’s eyes to pick up the rich man's inside of the man since it overflowed from his very body - his aged eyes showed knowledge far greater than even his perceived age hinted towards. Obviously he fit the role of an old archmage yet his cloak ended up being one made from the brown pelts of some beastly monster no doubt.

“I was aware you two royals would bring trouble wherever you went yet it seems that putting you together only makes things worse instead of countering as I would have hoped. Usually if any person mercilessly killed civilians or guards they would face consequences. Yet you are no person, are you, child of the regal Bloofleaf vampire family?” <Guild Branch Master>

As he spoke the old human shook his head while moving his hand to invite the group to sit down at the chairs in front of his desk. With no reason to refuse the trio of girls obviously followed yet the foxy vampire ensured she sat in order to block his vision of the table - not that he expected anything to come from her act that appeared very natural. When sitting down she couldn’t help raise a question.

“Hm~ you already know about that~?” <Eel>

“Indeed; in terms of magic ability I’m not lesser than that of the archmage located in {Orrid Capital City} which sits at around the centre of the country. I myself am a warlock yet it is easy enough for me to detect just about every happening in this town - let alone when someone who noticeably creates mana of their own. If you ignore the monsters that have begun to roam around the country in recent history I am confident in saying I am within the five strongest since I need to defend this key point of interest.” <Guild Branch Master>

While saying that he lifted his right thumb up to palm behind him towards the window which revealed the large mountain range that loomed overhead.

“Hm… Thou can certainly sweep under the rug the act of killing a mere guard yet the blood of a seemingly well known merchant has also been spilt. How will thou deal with the lord of these lands who I believe is a baron of Orrid? I am sure thou art aware Orrid who rather thy were not present and they maintained unilateral control of this place.” <Promicarus>

The old man looked towards Promicarus who was speaking with her chin tilted upwards while attempting to look down on the old mage - of course he was far taller. This resulted in the strange sight of the girl looking down at his chest while he casually looked down at her while stroking his beard. That didn’t stop him from letting out a hearty chuckle though.

“Indeed the baron has tried such as when he first came into power he attempted to apply some tariffs on the adventurers, blacksmiths and merchants. A simple idea of putting a tax on bringing monster parts in as well as out of his town - something that many have tried to do before all throughout the annals of history. It always results in those three parties rising arms against the lord; in our case I managed to lead to a more peaceful conclusion.” <Guild Branch Master>

“Oh~! What happened then~?” <Eel>

“He now stays in the capital receiving a nice little allowance.” <Guild Branch Master>

After saying that he let out a chuckle while shaking his head as he reached to pull open a drawer of his desk only to pull out a file. Throwing the file on his desk in front of Eel who quickly picked it up while Promicarus tapped her chin while looking towards Emily… Only to see she was still patting that tail clearly being of no use.

“I see~ so these are the little golems that are causing so much trouble around here~?” <Eel>

Nodding, the old man stepped up from his chair to slowly walk towards the window allowing him to overlook the bustling city below.

“We have no idea where these golems came from since they are endless in their numbers with observable similarities with the created & natural golem types. It may truly be something to do with a change to the evolutions of beasts due to Mother’s interference - sightings have revealed her chains hanging up battalions of Orrid. That is why we have requested both you our strongest rookie as well as the princess renowned for her work in a similar field as golemancy in an attempt to discover more.” <Guild Branch Master>

Having their pride pumped up the two proudly pushed their chests out with smug grins on both their faces seemingly not realising they reacted the exact same. It was only then when Promicarus’ eyebrows furrowed while turning to look between Eel as well as the old guild master who was still overlooking the city.

“Even if thou rules the city with those guards being nothing more than doorstops that does not change the fact she killed people…” <Promicarus>

Hearing that the old man chuckled.

“Yet the little hero isn’t a human so we cannot hold her to our standards; as such the guild has decided to treat her the same way we do tamed beasts. If one provokes a beast they cannot press charges against the beast nor the owner for what comes next - as we stand with them even should that result be being mauled to death. It was decided by the higher ups in charge of this mess of an organisation so no single country can complain about it.” <Guild Branch Master>

The plastic princess couldn’t help tightly clutching her mouth while turning away while Eel just remained still with no motion.

“Kekeke we even have her owner here~!” <Promicarus>

Promicarus said while tilting her head towards the still enamoured Emily which the target of the mockery was still frozen in place with a prideful smile that suddenly seemed strange. It took awhile for Eel’s brain to finally load up and when she did she immediately stood up; causing Emily’s face to be abruptly enveloped in the floof. Beginning to walk backwards towards the door with that strained smile.

“Well~ I will be off then~!” <Eel>

Noticing her run away Promicarus stood up to follow behind only to stop for a second to turn to Emily who appeared to now be made out of liquid itself. Massaging her temples she decided to help the now useless succubus out of the room, closing the door behind herself - the old man slowly turned around. Walking forth to his chair once more with a long sigh.

“I need a drink.” <Guild Branch Master>

Yet when he turned to look toward his brandy it was completely gone.

“Daughter of the Munzumira!” <Guild Branch Master>
