Black Spirit Snake was just brewing some more tea when she turned to look at An Lin.
She knew that An Lin had gone to the Divine Source Continent to complete a mission, and she was also quite curious about what this supposed Heavenly Dao fragment looked like.
An Lin placed a supreme-grade storage ring onto the table. “The Heavenly Dao fragment within has a substantial and insubstantial state, which it transitions between in an extremely unpredictable manner. Your Majesty Nuwa, please take care not to let it run away.”
Nuwa responded with a reassuring smile, “Don’t worry, I call the shots here in this cabin of life, and that’s also the reason why I invited you here to release the Heavenly Dao fragment.”
She spoke with firm conviction and confidence on her face.
It was quite clear that this cabin of life was no ordinary wooden cabin either.
An Lin nodded upon hearing this, and he surveyed the interior of his storage ring to discover hat the Heavenly Dao fragment was currently in its white crystalline form and it was releasing what appeared to be clouds and mist around its body.
He extracted the Heavenly Dao fragment.
Everything fell silent the moment the fragment emerged.
The flowers within the mirror disappeared, and the wind chimes ceased their tinkling.
It was as if this fragment were the only thing remaining between heaven and earth.
Both the Heavenly Lord of Dao and Virtue and Nuwa were momentarily stunned.
Both of them had fallen to the unique aura emanating from the Heavenly Dao fragment.
It was also at this moment that the Heavenly Dao fragment transitioned into its insubstantial state and tried to flee into the distance.
“You’re not getting away!” Nuwa came to her senses then and let loose a clear cry. When she made an ancient seal with her hand, a vast, ancient power erupted from the wooden cabin, isolating it from the outside world.
The Heavenly Dao fragment crashed into the wall of the wooden cabin, and its body tremored violently as it was forced back into its substantial form again.
Nuwa extended a hand. Even though the Heavenly Dao fragment was struggling violently, it was still unable to resist a certain type of power and slowly flew toward Nuwa’s hand.
Finally, she grabbed the Heavenly Dao fragment. Her eyes reflected the Heavenly Dao fragment within. However, her eyes then returned to normal in a short instant.
“This is indeed a missing piece of the Heavenly Dao. I can feel it…” Nuwa murmured as she stroked the Heavenly Dao fragment in an extremely gentle manner, as if she were caressing her own child.
Black Spirit Snake had her chin in her hands with an entranced expression on her face. “It’s so beautiful. I just want to stay like this and look at it forever…”
“You’ll be able to see it every day when it fuses back together with the Heavenly Dao,” Nuwa said with a smile.
Black Spirit Snake pouted. “That’s not the same…”
An Lin was a little surprised as he turned toward Black Spirit Snake. This was the first time he saw Black Spirit Snake acting like a pouty little girl, and it created a massive contrast with what he was used to!
The Heavenly Lord of Dao and Virtue stroked his beard. “With this Heavenly Dao fragment, we have collected about ninety percent of the materials required for mending the heavens. We’re just missing the most vital cog now, which is the power of dao from the flaws of the Heavenly Dao.”
Nuwa nodded before turning to An Lin and Yi Xi with a warm smile. “This was all thanks to An Lin and Yi Xi’s efforts. Tell me what happened during your trip to the Divine Source Continent.”
The two of them recounted their experiences within the Divine Source Continent for Nuwa to hear.
Nuwa’s expression shifted slightly upon hearing about how Feng Wuya had already progressed to the Dao Integration Stage. “No wonder all of the powerful beings we had deployed in the past had perished. So there really is a living being who has reached Dao Integration Stage there…”
Black Spirit Snake was also a little astonished as she looked at An Lin. “You’ve only just progressed to the Return to Void Stage, yet you can already beat Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures?”

A smug smile appeared on An Lin’s face. “What’s so strange about that? I’m always slaying giants.”
“You want to spar?” Black Spirit Snake’s eyes lit up.
“Nope.” An Lin immediately turned her down.
Black Spirit Snake: “…”
An Lin was not stupid. Feng Wuya was extremely weak compared to the other Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures, whereas Black Spirit Snake was someone on par with the legendary Battling Buddha, as well as one of the most powerful cultivators Nuwa had at her disposal. How could Feng Wuya even compare to her? Black Spirit Snake was clearly just looking for a chance to bash him…
“Alright, that’s enough. Please continue, Mr. An Lin.” Nuwa was quite interested in the rest of his story.
An Lin was a little embarrassed by her keen gaze, and he continued to recount his experiences within the Divine Source Continent.
He didn’t understand why Her Majesty Nuwa would be so curious about the rest of his story now that she already had the Heavenly Dao fragment.
An Lin went on to recount how he had established the Four Nine Immortal Palace, fought for oppressed female cultivators, restored order to the continent, and passed many new policies…
Nuwa listened with relish.
Yi Xi also talked about how An Lin had mended the sky with a single sword strike.
Nuwa was a little surprised and curious as she looked at the Evil-Slaying Sword on An Lin’s back. “Your sword seems very special. May I have a closer look?”
An Lin shuddered upon hearing this, and he quickly grabbed his sword before injecting a burst of Divine Weapon Origin Energy within!
“Ohhh…” Little Xie moaned with bliss.
An Lin heaved a sigh of relief, feeling as if he had just dodged a lethal bullet.
Nuwa and the others were all quite perplexed.
“My apologies, Senior Nuwa. My sword spirit is very shy, so I won’t be able to show you my sword,” An Lin said with an apologetic expression.
Nuwa responded with a warm smile, “That’s alright.”
An Lin finished his story thereafter before he turned to Nuwa with a curious expression. “Your Majesty Nuwa, what do I need to do if I want to return to the Divine Source Continent?”
Nuwa extended a single finger, and a golden light flashed from her fingertip, upon which a golden crystal appeared.
An Lin looked at the golden crystal, and his expression immediately shifted upon sensing its familiar energy fluctuations. “That’s a golden Realm Essence Crystal! Is that all I’ll need to visit the Divine Source Continent again?”
“Three golden Realm Essence Crystals make up the foundation. You’ll need to have a Dual Realm Stone as well. Dual Realm Stones are quite rare, and even the Heavenly Lord of Dao and Virtue and I have only found about a dozen or so over the years,” Nuwa explained.
An Lin’s heart jolted upon hearing this. Just one golden Realm Essence Crystal was worth a million spirit stones.
It looked like the price for revisiting that continent was a little high.
“However…” Nuwa looked at the Heavenly Dao fragment as she said, “That won’t be necessary now!”
An Lin’s interest was immediately piqued. His Four Nine Immortal Palace was still situated over there, after all.
Nuwa explained. “Now that the Heavenly Dao fragment has been recovered, the rift in the sky has been repaired, and a Dao Integration Stage super mighty figure has been born on that continent, that world would’ve leveled up and become more stable.
“Thanks to this, the passageway between the two worlds will also become more stable. Perhaps, in the not too distant future, the passageway will become a normal, easily accessible spatial passageway.”
An Lin heaved an internal sigh of relief upon hearing this.
Nuwa put the Heavenly Dao fragment away into a bracelet on her wrist. “An Lin, Yi Xi, I should give you something for recovering the Heavenly Dao fragment. I’ll give you two each a divine-rank material.”
