Noah’s hair was pushed behind her neck and off her shoulder. Before Noah realised it, Kyle had lowered his head and moved his hand to the restraint on her neck.
The touch felt completely different than when Adrian touched the restraint on her neck. Kyle lifted the restraint carefully, checked the wound, and sighed briefly. His light breath brushed between her ear and the neck.
Kyle carefully lifted the restraint and began to apply disinfectant between the cracks. When Noah started shivering at the cold feeling, Kyle held her shoulder and spoke.
“I’ll be done in a minute. “
“…….”
“It’s just….”
How am I supposed to eat like this… While Noah was holding the spoon, Kyle put some ointment on his finger and smeared it on the wound. Noah felt numb at the touch of it being spread thinly on her neck.
“Is it painful?”
Kyle must have mistaken the face she was making as her being in pain. Noah shook her head unconsciously and this time she groaned in real pain. Kyle clicked his tongue a little.
“What day of the week was your first class with Minister Roshinel? Tuesday?”
“Yes… Tuesday “
“Then ask him to make the restraint looser. If you keep scratching, you’ll have a scar.”
While Kyle put gauze on the wound and put a couple of layers of bandages to prevent the flesh from catching, Noah couldn’t swallow, let alone eat stew. If Noah swallowed anything she thought that Kyle might feel the movement with his hands against her neck.
Kyle was much better at treating wounds than she was. He finally took his hands off Noah after he finished securing the bandage.
Noah had barely released a long breath before she realized that she had been holding it in. Kyle suddenly lifted her left hand and Noah became stiff again.
“Anyway, what’s with your preference…?”
Kyle seemed to mumble something. Noah felt like she was going to have an upset stomach if she ate any more food, so she finally put down the spoon.
“Are you trying to be polite now? What’s with your left hand?”
Kyle put her hand on the table carefully after he had bandaged her wrist. And only then did she notice his stare which was directed at her.
Kyle’s eyebrows rose and he shook his head stubbornly.
Kyle was usually two hundred steps ahead, and now he didn’t seem to be able to understand what Noah was feeling at all.
Kyle tried to hide his agitated look and mentioned to Noah.
“Ms. Noah, I don’t think you used to be this quiet.”
“Thank you very much…”
Noah felt really tired today. Well, it’s fair to say that she had dealt with a stalker who had a knack for making her angry, which also happened at the first trial she had ever had. Noah tried to escape to bed quickly but Kyle stopped her.
“Brush your teeth.”
“Ah, Okay!”
When Kyle’s hand touched her shoulder, Noah was startled again and ran into the bathroom without looking at Kyle.
Noah looked at herself in the bathroom mirror, she saw a beauty in pajamas with her ear tips flushed red. Also, there was a look of embarrassment on her face that she could not hide.
‘Why are you feeling embarrassed all of a sudden?’
‘Because he treated the wound? But didn’t I treat the wound on his cheek a few days ago?’
Noah felt strange, slightly nauseous. It was clearly a completely different feeling compared to the excitement of Muel’s spell, and Noah was not such a fool that she didn’t know what the feeling was. Noah giggled in amazement.
“I guess there haven’t been too many men…”
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so affected by such a trivial touch. Noah stopped thinking and put her head in the sink dipping her hair in some water.
Once Kyle saw her with wet hair he lectured Noah, saying that she would catch a cold if she didn’t dry her hair properly and that the bandage would get wet. After that round of nagging, Kyle concluded that her psychological state was really unstable and stayed until she was exhausted and fell asleep.
The 8 o’clock that was promised was already long gone.
