Chapter 4: BACKGROUND (Mc and his original world)

Before you read this chapter. I just wanted you to know that this chapter will be kinda short, just some info before we could finally start with the main story. That I wanted to include in the prologue but I didn't because I didn't want info-dump, you guys.

The world that our Mc comes from is Earth but the alternative universe.

Continents, oceans, et cetera are the same the only thing that changed is the course of history.

Some countries don't exist but others with completely new cultures and religions do. The world that comes to live our Mc is dangerous with wars breaking quite often. The world is divided into 4 ideologies: Communism, Democracy, Nationalist, and Monarchy.

Our Mc was born in a country with a totalitarian regime. One of the reasons why he joined the military was because propaganda on TV and radio implemented in him the idea that joining the army is the highest honor that citizens of this country could achieve. When he joined the military, he was still very naive thinking that he was doing something good that not everyone dares to do and he did that at the worst time possible.

During the time of war. After only two months of training, he was sent to the front lines. There he only got to know the horrors of war. Which seems to be going bad. This is completely opposite of what he heard on the news at home. News about great battle success that war will soon be over because our soldiers are crushing the enemy forces so much.Was anything but a lie.

The government didn't tell the truth because this was bound to spread massive panic among the civilians. Propaganda can be a powerful tool and suddenly losing a war with a country that in the media is always addressed as poor and weak. Would start people to have a second thoughts and of course, the government can't let that happen.

But even with all that happening our Mc survived the war. He changed from what you can describe as a boy that smiled and laughed a lot to a man with a stoic expression that prefers to keep mostly to himself.

Broken man, I would say. With everything that he saw he is not in the best psychological condition. Someone that doesn't dare to change, someone that doesn't dare to admit his mistakes. He can't move on because, for him, the war never ended.
