As I sat, waiting for my potions to be concocted, Daisy was playing with some bottles. It looked quite cute, causing a smile to form on my face.

 

I asked Daisy, “So Daisy, can you make any potion yourself?”. Daisy looked up from the bottles and said, “Yes, grandmother taught me to make some potions, though I am not very good at” and looked a bit sad.

 

I was a bit curious about her since the novel never mentioned anything deep about these two shops, they were just places to get stuff after all.

 

But here they were people so I was curious about how they lived.

 

I smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I am sure you will improve, you are young after all. It’s impressive enough that you can do that at your age.”.

 

Hearing that Daisy smiled happily and enthusiastically said, “Yes, I will. I will work hard.”.

 

I smiled and said, “I am sure you will.”. And we talked a bit more about the potions she makes.

 

Then as we were chatting Dorothy came with the completed potions. IT took her about 10 minutes to complete them.

 

Dorothy said, “Here are your potions.”, and put them in a cloth bag for me to carry and then said, “Thank you for talking with Daisy, she doesn’t get to talk with people often, other than me or Nick.”, smiling.

 

I smiled and said, “Thank you for the potions. How much are they? And don’t worry about it, she is a good kid.”.

 

Dorothy said, “Thank you for your kind words and it will be 3 silver coins.”.

 

I said, “Ok, here you go.”, and handed her the money.

 

In this world, currency is divided into gold, silver and copper coins. 1 silver coin is equivalent to 10 copper coins and 1 gold coin is equivalent to 100 silver coins.

 

An average commoner family of 3 can survive with about 30 gold coins a month. But a very few earn that amount. As such there are a lot of poor people in this world, the percentage of poor people here is higher than that on Earth.

 

So, these potions can be considered expensive, however I believe that they are worth their price, even more than the potions sold elsewhere and it’s not a big amount for the heir of a Ducal house like me.

 

But honestly nothing can of be done, this world is similar to medieval Earth, so the way of life is similar.

 

Dorothy said, “Thank you.”, on receiving the payment.

 

I then picked up the bag and said, “So, then, I better get going. I’ll visit again later, when I have to buy potions.”.

 

“Yes, please do.”, said Dorothy. “Bye.”, said Daisy as she waved me goodbye smiling and I waved back with a smile.

 

I then went back to Nick’s shop and sat on the bench. Nick wasn’t there at the counter and from the sound he was at the back working.

 

There was still a lot of time left. So, I sat there waiting. I decided to use this time to go over all the things I needed to do in time.

 

But that still wasn’t enough to pass time so I started counting sheep.

 

I almost closed by eyes feeling sleepy when Nick came back with the sword and the ring.

 

“Sorry to keep you waiting.”, said Nick and hearing this jerked me awake from my dazed state.

 

I immediately went over him to check the stuff. I said, “Don’t worry about.  I am ok as long as I get the products.”.

 

“Here they are. I have done my best. I hope they are to your liking.”, said Nick as he placed them, over the counter.

“Hmm.”, I said as I looked at the sword. It looked a lot different from the one the protagonist used.

 

It had a silver metal color in the middle of the blade with both the edges being red in color. It was a double-edged blade. There were also intricate patterns embedded in the red part of the sword. It was probably runes for conducting magic.

 

The handle was black in color with a blue gem in the place where the blade meets the handle. The handle had rugged patterns for better grip.

 

Honestly it looked very ominous, like what a ‘Demon King’ would have. But I guess it’s a fitting sword for the main villain.

 

The sword the protagonist Aaron used looked like a generic sword but was really good.

 

As I took the sword in my hand, it felt neither heavy, nor light, just the right weight for me.

 

Also, the sword felt as if it was a part of my body, as if I can channel my magic into it easily.

 

It felt as if this sword was made for me. I guess this is what it means to have something personalized.

 

I had a thought. The protagonist had access to a special ability that no one else had. It was called [Analyze], it allowed him to check various items and see how they were.

 

It could even check for poison. It saved his life countless times. He discovered it by accident when he really wanted to check something in a dungeon.

 

Seriously this ability is a cheat. I really want it.

 

But no other than the protagonist had this ability. Let alone the villain David.

 

But since I have reincarnated, it wouldn’t hurt to try using it would it? I mean reincarnated people do sometimes get protagonist bonuses or maybe David had it but didn’t knew?

 

Both scenarios were possible. So, let’s see if I can do it or not. As worst it will lead to disappointment. But it would be a bigger disappointment if I happen to have it but didn’t try using it.

 

So, in my mind while looking at the sword I said, ‘[Analyze]’. I almost dropped the sword in surprise.

 

There it was, the familiar window for [Analyze] I saw in the novel illustrations.

 

It was a floating blue transparent window only visible to me. Nick clearly couldn’t see it as his expression didn’t change and he didn’t as what it was. I was really happy that I had this ability.

I couldn’t believe my eyes; this is not only better than the protagonist’s sword but was way better than I expected.

 

This was an absolutely valuable and rare item, equal or maybe better than the ‘legendary class’ items found in the toughest dungeons.

 

This wasn’t something you can obtain, even if you had all the money in the world. A smile formed on my lips at that realization.
