Chapter 2: Childhood

I hope I’m not in the last book, it would be a pity if the world ended the second I woke up.

I woke up.

Im finally here.

This must be the first book, Great!

Oh, how nice. I’m a newborn.

And, I skipped the part where I was covered in blood!

From what I’ve heard, my parents are rich and strong. And that my name is Elliot Laven.

I don’t care about being strong, but I need money.

I won’t need it now, I’m only a week old.

But what do I do when they find out how utterly useless this body I'm inhabiting is ? and then they kick me out.

So I’ve decided, the minute I learn how to speak properly, I’m asking for a allowance!

Right now I’m being fed by the person my parents hired to take care of me.

Her name is Melody Rose. Or Mel for short. 

She keeps on calling me ‘kid’, I know she knows my name! 

6 Months Later

Mel has longer work days now.

So, she brings her daughter to work!

She has been bringing her daughter here for 2 months!!

Normally, that would be nice.

“Kid, My daughter’s coming with me from tomorrow on.” Mel said after tucking me in bed.

What?! Why!

”zaaaaaaaaaaaa!” I start screaming.

Mel put a hand on my mouth, shutting me up. “Now, now. It’ll be like a play date!

No thanks!! She may be my favourite character but I won’t be able to handle her!

“She’s magicless so she won’t hurt you if she’s angry” Mel then left the room “Bye Kid”

I wouldn’t want to anger the kid who shattered the sky and killed the gods!

But for now, she’s just a kid. A ‘Useless’ Kid.

K, back to present day.

I looked at her, she was older than me by a month.

Surprisingly, she’s very calm!

We’re sitting next to each other, because Mel was cleaning the house.

Like a good kid, she falls asleep.

I imitate her.

And I fall asleep, too.
