That night. Cyclo slips out of the house and hides behind a house, near Miranda’s store.

(…… I’ve got to stop this!)

Determined, Cyclo quietly waited for the attackers to arrive.

Eventually – late at night, when everyone had gone to bed – a figure appears.

When Cyclo looked up to check, he saw that it was the figure of the police officer.

(That face …… is the one from the alleyway. I’m sure of it!)

But he can’t let his guard down yet.

Cyclo checks around to see if there is anyone else besides the man.

The gangsters are probably clearing out people elsewhere, but they are not in the vicinity.

Eventually, the police officer approaches Miranda’s store, keeping a wary eye on his surroundings.

And then – as he puts his hand on the doorknob.

“–Uwaaaahhhhhh!!”

Cyclo let out a loud yell and dashed toward the police officer.

“W-What the hell are you doing!?”

“Somebody! Somebody, please help me!”

Saying so, Cyclo shouts loudly and tries to gather people.

Perhaps noticing the commotion, the lights of the houses in the neighborhood begin to turn on.

“Damn you, getting in the way!”

“Ugh!”

The police officer punches Cyclo in the face.

He tries to make his escape – but the neighbors have already come out of their houses.

Even if he continued to flee, the man was bound to be seen by many people.

Cyclo was beginning to feel relieved that he had somehow managed to prevent the attack.

But – the police officer was quick-witted and smirked at this point.

“Damn you! Stay still!”

The man says, kicking the falling Cyclo further and holding him down as he leans further on top of him.

“Ugh!?”

“You criminal! Don’t think you can escape!”

The man’s words were incomprehensible to Cyclo. You’re the criminal, Cyclo thought.

But – as the police officer chatted with a neighbor who had come by, he finally understood what the man meant.

“What’s going on!?”

“You’re a neighbour, aren’t you? Call the other police officers! He is a suspect in an attempted rape!”

“What!? Is that so!?”

“Quickly! Before he escapes!”

“Y-Yes!”

Hearing these words, Cyclo’s face turns pale.

(Don’t tell me– this guy! Is he trying to pin this on me!?)

Cyclo tries to speak up in a panic.

However, he is unable to speak out because the police officer is holding him down from above.

“Ugh …… I-I ……”

“Shut up, you criminal! You’re probably the one who is responsible for the recent series of rapes, aren’t you!? I’m not letting you get away with this today!”

The tone of voice is somewhat unnatural, like an officer’s explanation.

But he knows this because he knows the truth, and for those who don’t, the truth is what the police officer says.

And the last thing Cyclo sees is…

“…… No. Cyclo is ……?”

And a voice leaks out — it was Miranda, who noticed the commotion in front of her house and came to check on it.

(That’s not true …… Sister Miranda ……)

Cyclo struggles to somehow clear his suspicions.

However, he is held down and constricted by the police inspector, and the damage and stress caused him to pass out.
