Chapter 15: Kirisu Mafuyu: Day 7 (1)

Today is Sunday so Kei doesn't have work for today. As always he does his usual thing like taking a shower before he eats. After that, he goes to the laundry shop. He noticed yesterday that his used clothes are starting to increase so he goes out to deliver them.

After that, he goes to the 6/9 convenience store. 

Going in, he saw a girl with dyed blonde hair and brown eyes. She has lightly tanned skin, a slender body, and wearing a green and white stripe staff uniform.

"Welcome!" The girl greeted him and he nodded in response. 

He goes to the snacks section to get some chips. Next, he goes to the drinks section to get some bottles of cola and a milk box.

Since he didn't need anything, he immediately goes to the counter to pay for what he got. Looking at the girl, he somewhat becomes unsure.

"Did I meet you somewhere?" Kei is making an unsure expression while his head tilted a bit.

"Hey, if you're trying to pick me up that's not gonna work you know?"

"I'm sorry if that is in your view. You really look like someone I know." This might look like he is picking up on her but he is serious about his question. For some reason, he knows her but he didn't know if this was Kei-O's memory or his memory.

"Well, if you're really serious then I'll answer you. I don't know who are you so it might really be that "someone you know" just looks like me."

"Thank you for answering me." He bowed his head.

"No, no," She felt a pang of guilt for suspecting him of picking up her. However…

"Can I know your name?"

'This guy… *ugh …bring back my concern.'

Thinking about his question, she got an answer.

'Haaa* well, it's just a name. We might never see each other again after this.'

"Yuuki Asami. That's my name."

"Kusanagi Kei. Nice to meet you, Yuuki-san."

As of now, Kei is the sole customer at this time so it didn't obstruct her work. After their conversation, he pays and goes out of the 6/9 convenience store.

As he arrived at the apartment building, he saw a woman wearing a suit with black stockings and dark red high heels sitting on the stairs of the entrance.

'It's Mafuyu. What she's doing outside of her unit on a hot day like this? Well, whatever may reason I will respect her.' 

"Good morning Mafuyu, catch you later."

He wanted to flirt with her but he still holding his 2 plastics full of his snacks for later as he was about to pass her, she tuck his shirt and he stop.

"You said that you could help me anytime, right?" She can't look into his eyes as she said this.

Apartment building unit 308, that's where Mafuyu lives but before going here, he left his snacks in his apartment unit. Looking around her room, Kei can see a wasteland-like view. Plastics, chip bags, cans, etc. Even her bed is not even arranged and her used clothes got saggy because it's laying everywhere in her room.

"I just cleaned this a few days ago..." Seeing this view, he can't help but to muttered loudly.

"It's… regrettable…but compared to the past, I really have tried harder to clean this room." She looks away while wearing a guilty face.

Picking the trashes one by one, he started to clean her room. Well, he said that he will certainly help her so he can't take back his own word. 

He starts a conversation while he is cleaning. 

"We're neighbors, you can just wait for me outside so why did you even go out of the building?"

"That... That bug has appeared…"

"Oh"

Crawling on the wall, Kei saw and pointed to a single cockroach. 

"Huh? Is that bug…"

Seeing the bug, Mafuyu makes a horrible expression. 

"I thought someone else. Just a coc…"

"NO! STOP! DON'T EVER SAY THAT NAME!!!"

'Oh, I remembered. She's not good to bugs, especially cockroaches.'

"All right. Well, if I kill it everything should be fine." He said as he get a fan-folded paper.

However, when Kei was about to lift the folded paper, the cockroach immediately rushes into its position but it stop midway and hide.

Seeing the rushing bug, "WAH!!! NO!!!" Mafuyu suddenly hugs Kei in terror.

'Soft' That's the first thing he thought as his back head has been buried in her chest. Feeling the soft pair of mountains that can calm his mind, heart, and body, he wanted to make this last long but seeing a lady who is about to cry, he immediately cleared that thought and focus on killing the bug.

"Blunder!!!" Hearing his words, she suddenly calm down from her terror of the bug, and her mood changed as her face turn red. However, she didn't let him go and still hug him while he feels her body get tremble.

'Now that I think about it. The manga didn't say why she is not good at bugs rather it focuses on the story of her being a figure skater. Well, I think that doesn't matter since no one brought up that topic.'

After he thought about this, he start his bug hunting. Since Mafuyu is still hugging him, he lifts her one-handedly as she makes a "Kyaah~" noise. He stands up and starts shaking some boxes. 

The cockroach appears and he immediately hit it but he missed because Mafuyu's hug suddenly tightens. He tries again and again and again but it still escapes.

"Hey, Mafuyu, how about I finished the cleaning first?"

As of now, Mafuyu is shutting her eyes as she hugs him. She heard his words so she replied to him.

"Can you put me down there?" She pointed to the door that goes outside.

"Yes"

He immediately takes her there and restarts his cleaning. After cleaning for almost 2 hours, he finally closed the last box of her things. He continues to hunt the bug until he is able to kill it and if we will describe how the battle between Kei and the cockroach, it is like Saitama killing a mosquito.

Well, he finished all her demands and that is what matters. 

Mafuyu who is standing since earlier walks towards Kei who is now sitting.

"T-thank you." She shyly said with a flushed face as her fingers tip-tapping each other.

"Your welcome." He looks up to where Mafuyu stands.

As he stood up, a notification suddenly pop out.

Listing the people he met, he realizes something.

She's scared however what she sees in his eyes changes into a passionate gaze. It might be her imagination but this adds more impact to her thinking. 

There are so many what-if questions happening in her mind right now. What if she's starting to change again? What if she met Kei in the past? What if she didn't become a teacher? What if… what if…

Her face is showing a confused expression as her head start to ache and felt that her surrounding started to spin.

She collapses.
