Chapter 2: New Life and Desired World: Day 1 (1)

4th of April, the year 2016, Dawn. In a normal room on the 3rd floor of some apartment building.

A young man is lying dead on the floor.

"Where am I," 

The man said while slowly opening his eyes and then looking around at his surroundings.

He sees himself lying on the tatami floor.

The man stood up from the floor and tried to find a mirror.

"Where is it?—"

When he found a mirror, he was shocked by his reflection.

"Is this me?"

He saw a handsome young man around 20 or 21 years old, the man surprises a bit when he see himself young again.

In the seemingly infinite darkness, a light that shines so bright suddenly appears. Gradually, the light makes a human shape.

Kei is stunned that he can't speak.

A beautiful woman suddenly took in shape. After looking at him, she suddenly talks.

"Congratulations on being "The Chosen". I am the goddess of this world and as a prize, I would give you 2 options."

Suddenly, a blue screen appears in his sight. It contains the option that he needed to choose.

One, He could choose to be reincarnated but the world is random.

Two, He could choose to possess a random early dead body but he can choose a type of world. 

"I choose the second option." 

After considering many things, he decided to choose the second option.

"As "The Chosen" naturally you will be given power. So here—This is a bit portion of my real power."

Suddenly, he felt comfortably warm in his body. The sensation is close to being hugged by a beautiful woman with a big chest or burying your face on the thighs of a beautiful older woman.

After fascinating by his appearance, he immediately concentrates his mind to think what kind of power he received from the goddess.

His name is Kusanagi Kei, sixteen (16) years old, an ordinary high school student who is in 2nd year this year. He became an orphan when his parents died last week.

"Is this the memory of the owner of this body?"

It seems that he transmigrated to a person with the same name as him. 

He breaks for a bit, then he stood up and drinks water. Later on, he decided to try again so he concentrate his mind to know what kind of power he received.

An essential system is a system that gives random things that are necessary through draw tickets that can get by doing some quest.

There are two categories of the system draw. The Human World and Abyssal World.

In Human World draw you can get rewards to help you to have a better life in human society, especially your social standing and lifestyle.

In the Abyssal World draw you can get rewards to help you to have strength in the hidden society, especially when to pursue an absolute strength.

His left eyebrows lift, making a confused facial expression. He didn't think deeply and move on since this might open in the near future. Using his mind, he back and go to the status menu then open it.

He shook his head and immediately move on and go to the quest menu.

"The hell?! What kind of penalty is that? This novel will be over if didn't do that and I only have 20 hours to complete it. I need to search now."

He immediately goes to his computer desk. He opens it, waits goes to Google Chrome, types google.com, and searching bing.com to search for some nearby shop that needs people.

He saw many jobs on the list but he wanted a relatively light job close to his place. Reading all the list for a few minutes, he found the job that he wanted.

" Wanted Waiter, part-time. Hiring time: 9:00 am. " 

He muttered read this. As he looked at the address, he found out that the shop is just truly near to his area.

Next, he searched for some information about the world he lived in now. He seems to have transmigrated in the year 2016. Almost the same as his previous world but with a difference in history.

In 1929, the 2nd World War breaks out. It started 10 years earlier than the history he knew and only lasted for a year and a half.  There's no winner and all that's left is the political power and productivity that was used for technological advancement.

In 1945, Apollo 3 successfully landed on the moon, which is 30 years earlier than the history he knows. 

In 1943, around 70% of commercial flights are already using jet fuel...

There are many things, that happened earlier than he knows and some of the things that he didn't know happened. Still, the fact that Japan is still the same country where anime and manga began, means that there is no problem in the first place. 

By the way, If you're wondering what history has to do with future plots the answer is no. He was just reading history and nothing else. Still, Even though he is in the anime-like world the history is pretty much the same.

He stood up and starts to stretch. It's been an hour since he opens the computer so his body urges him to make crack noises.

As he stretches his phone on the desk vibrates. He picks up and looks at the phone. He saw an unknown number. He can't recognize the number even with the memory of Kei-O but he still answers the call.

"Hello—is this the Kusanagi Residents?"

He hears a woman's voice on the call.

"Yes, this is Kusanagi Residents, How can I help you?" 

He replies to the woman.

"Is Kusanagi Kei-san there?"

"You are currently speaking to him."

"Oh— Excuse me. I will introduce myself. My name is Akiyama Kaede and I am your mother's sister's secretary."

She politely replies.

'Sister? It means my Aunt?! ' 

Based on the memories of Kei-O, his parents have not been introduced to other family members since he was young so he was a little surprised by this call.

"My boss wants to see you. You might have many things to ask, right?"

'Well, she is correct but can I trust this call? Now that I think about it my money is running low. Thankfully, the system quest gives me a big push to find a job, although it's only part-time it can't be helped. About the call... I think I'm gonna trust it.'

"Then I agree, so when we will meet?"

"Are you free today?"

"Well, it depends on time."

"Then 7:00 am?"

"Yes, I'm free. So where is the location?"

"Do you know where is Komeda's Coffee Shop?"

He suddenly uses Kei-O's memory to think.

"Yes, I know."

"Then 7:00 am on Komeda's Coffee Shop. See you later."

Then she ends the call.
