Chapter 2: The Male Lead is a Strong Regressor Chapter 2

All the people around us were taken out in an instant until there were only five of us standing.

I couldn't do much without skills, but the same did not apply to Jeong-sii.

I already knew that he had a blessing that could wipe out the Red-Clawed Wolf just as quickly as it took out all those people.

It would be strange for him to use a skill right off the bat since no one has any skills at the beginning.

What everyone obtained from the Gods was a random blessing or two.

If someone obtains two blessings right off then they are likely to become great heroes in the future.

All depending on the blessings they received.

Since I watched the series I know that Jeong-sii will use his weakest blessing instead of the stronger one.

It will still get the attention of the demon because it's quite flashy, but it won't be as much attention as his other blessing would receive.

I watched in awe as he used the sword blessing to defeat the monster before us, it was a fight that lasted at least twenty minutes.

The demon stared down at us, "to think five measly humans would survive that, fine the quest has been completed.: The demon crossed his arms while he stared at Jeong-sii with narrowed eyes.

I'm sure he's thinking of whether or not he should have one of the Flying minions keep an eye on him.

A quest completed screen pops up and a bridge to the other side was formed behind us.

This was only the beginning, I glanced back and noticed that the demons had already disappeared.

I turned to face forward only to be greeted by a sword pointing at my face.

"Let's have a conversation, shall we," Jeong-sii says coldly.

Ah, I should have known he'd do this, he does have quite the cautious personality.

I raised my hand a bit in surrender, "I'll answer anything you wish to know." I told him.

There's no way I'd tell him that he was just a character in a television series, so what should I tell him that's more believable?

"I'm glad to hear that, start talking, why did you approach me?" He asked.

"Didn't I tell you, it's because you and the big guy over there looked strong," I told him.

He pushed the sword closer to my neck, "cut the bullshit, there's no way I'd believe that. You seemed as if you were planning it."

I guess he's the male lead for a reason, could it be that he's using that annoying See All skill?

I shake my head, impossible that was a skill that he had to get back. I'm sure he doesn't have it yet.

The Gods only returned him with two skills and five blessings, I remember that much.

"Ah, don't be like that. I'm telling the truth, you know." I'll stick to my answer even if it kills me.

He glared at me, I kept a straight face, I'm sure that he'll just see me as someone he needs to keep an eye on.

I'll prove my worth as time goes by.

He lowered his sword, "listen, kid, If there are any signs of betrayal I'll kill you myself." He threatened.

I hid a smile, what a scary guy, but why is it so hard to be scared?

I mean I knew he meant every word since he's someone that takes action.

I wonder if he knew how cool he looked saying those lines.

Ah, I think I might be too big of a fan.

I nod and happily follow after them, I was lucky to get involved with these two.

"Where are we going first, boss?" I asked.

"Don't call me that, and we're heading to a dungeon so the two of you can grow." He answered.

This is just like the tv series.

I'm sure he already knows this dungeon we're heading to well.

I won't ask him any more questions, I might miss something cool.

We stopped before an underground station, but judging by the eerie aura surrounding it, this place may be more than it seemed.

I peeked around him and noticed the barrier blocking the entrance.

Above a locked sign there was the word dungeon, it was just as I thought.

The number of people that could enter also said three, if I hadn't been here those two would have had to find one of the survivors.

That would have taken time, and if I remember correctly the one they brought with them when they did find someone, was useless.

If anything Jeong-sii didn't need us either, with just his sword blessing he'd be able to clear this whole dungeon.

If the dungeon itself didn't have a number restriction then he'd probably go solo.

I rather not be a useless ally, so I should work hard from now on so he doesn't either kill me or leave me behind.

We entered the dungeon and were suddenly surrounded by a foggy land.

"Looks eerie." Byon Hyung says with a slight shiver.

I had to agree with him, this place was a perfect spot for ambushes.

"Be alert, I can sense a presence," Jeong-sii warns.

We moved through the fog slowly, I'm sure we were going by what Jeong-sii remembers.

Though I'm not sure if this is the type of place to memorize easily.

"Wait, we have company," Jeong-sii says on guard.

We paused and quietly listened.

"To your left!" Jeong-sii yells swinging his sword in my direction.

I looked up to find some kind of monster diving towards me from my left side.

Of course, Jeong-sii slashed it in half before it could make contact.

I have no way to protect myself right now, so I'm useless until I learn a new skill or can get a hold of a weapon.

At least Byon could use his Shield Blessing to defend himself, I'm a sitting duck with only two useless blessings.

To have to rely on the Male lead to keep me alive...how shameless of me!

I smiled happily, should I get used to this treatment?

I shake my head immediately upon thought, no, no. 

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, it'll be troublesome if I get tossed aside.
