Chapter 3: Dungon Raid Chapter 3

"You're sort of useless, aren't you?" Jeong-sii asked me after killing another monster.

I pout, "how do you expect me to be of any help without a weapon or skill?" I asked.

We have been walking for an hour inside the fog.

And along the way, we have encountered monsters that were killed or blocked by Jeong-sii and Byon-Hyung.

Is it just me or the sight of two strong allies fighting hard to keep me safe?

I cleared my throat and avoided his glare, "if it weren't for your rare class, I'd leave you here." Jeong-sii says cutting down yet another monster.

Knowing his character, I'm sure he wasn't joking. "I get it, no need to remind me," I mutter while crossing my arms.

What a petty man.

The fog finally cleared revealing a wasteland and dead monster corpses all around us. 

To think he killed so many, he must have at least leveled up a few times, as well as Byon-Hyung.

"So we were being attacked by goblins, they hid their presence well, that's not good," Jeong-sii says crouching down to observe one of the dead goblins.

"What's not good about it?" Byon-Hyung asked.

I looked down at another goblin that lay at my feet, "goblins are not smart, if you ever played games before you'd know this. There's no way they'd know how to hide their presence. That means there's an intelligent monster in this dungeon." I answered.

It's most likely an Orc Mage, I'm sure Jeong-sii knew this already and was just acting it out.

I also knew that the first dungeon Jeong-sii conquered was the Orc Mage, if it's anything like the Tv series then we should make it out alive.

Before he comes up with that plan, should I steal it from him?

If I do so, he wouldn't look down on me. I smile at the idea, it tickles me to have my idol praise me.

"What are you grinning about?" Byong-Hyung asked me with a suspicious stare.

Oops, I got too excited, "nothing much, just a little bit happy." I tell him.

He frowns, "you're a bit weird. Right now you're in a very dangerous dungeon, yet you can still find a way to smile." Byon-Hyung says with a shake of his head.

I guess he has a point, even when the world first became like this I don't think I was scared. Perhaps I'm not normal.

"Let's go, I mapped out the area, we should keep heading east," Jeong-sii says walking over.

There's no way I'd believe that nonsense. Either way, I have to play along since he doesn't have a clue that I know the truth.

"Yes, come Byon-Hyung." I pulled on Byon-Hyung's arm.

We continued our journey until we came upon a rocky overpass.

Jeong-sii holds an arm out to stop us in our tracks since up ahead were two Orc Soldiers.

Two of those guys will be a problem if it were just me, thank god I have these two.

"Stay back, I'll handle these two," Jeong-sii orders us and walked towards the Orc Soldiers.

I hid a small grin behind my hand, that sounded so manly! I couldn't help but gush over such lines.

Wait. I rubbed my chin in thought. Aren't I taking my worshipping too far? 

I watched in awe as Jeong-sii took both of the monsters down in two strikes.

I clasped my hands together and forgot such thoughts immediately, it didn't matter anymore.

Jeong-sii wipes his sword clean before unequipping, he'll need that if he wants to upgrade its rank.

He looked back at the kid, and not only that he should give Minato "that" skill.

In his past life, he had no use for that skill and he was certain that he never met this kid before, it was different this time.

"That was so cool, Jeong-sii!" I shout waving at him.

"Is it just me or do you only like our Jeong-sii?" Byon-Hyung asked me with a frown.

I shrug, "I'm sure it's just you." I told him.

"Alright you two, let's go, I'm positive we're going in the right direction now," Jeong-sii says waving us to follow him.

Jeong-sii and Byon-Hyung walked ahead of the kid, Byon-Hyung leaned over to whisper to Jeong-sii, "you sure that Takeshi kid can be trusted?" He asked.

Jeong-sii halfway peers back and leans towards Byon-Hyung to whisper back, "don't worry, the kid is harmless." 

"Are you sure, he acts strange and seems weak?" Byon sys with an uncertain expression.

Jeong-sii clasped Byon-Hyung's shoulder, "don't worry about it, he's weak now but once we nurse him, he'll be a very strong and useful ally. If done right he may even surpass you." He told him.

I could tell they were talking about me, looks like Byon-Hyung doesn't trust me.

I must have been acting too strongly, should I calm it down a bit?

But it's so hard! To get to see famous characters from my all-time favorite television series up close makes it hard to stay calm.

Let's pretend I didn't notice and do my best to earn their trust.

"Is that the Orc Mage?" I asked pointing.

Sure enough, sitting on a throne was a monster scarier in person than on tv.

That orc, it's huge!

I stayed in the background, wishing I had a blessing that would help in combat.

"Get ready, Byon. You." Jeong-sii turned to point at me, "stay there."

I salute him, "yes sir!"

I waited and watched the two approach the throne but before they could make it there the Orc Mage had orc soldiers attack.

"Looks like we should deal with the minions first," Byon-Hyung says slamming his shield into the ground causing a crack.

A huge magical blast erupted causing a few of those orcs to be taken down.

Woah, how powerful! I was on the edge of my toes watching these two battle with the Mage Orc and its minions.

It was a dish to get to watch a legend be born once again.

The battle was over before I knew it and the Mage Orc fell to the ground, it was a one-sided battle with Jeong-sii standing on top of the corpse.

He jumped down and a clear panel appeared and even I leveled up afterward.

I beamed, I'm so proud to call the male lead my ally.
