While Korra healed me, she started to talk with me.

"I can't believe you want me to heal him! You know this guy is Amon's second in command right?"

"Of course I know and I still want you to heal him, he's my master, he's my friend, how can I let him suffer when I have the power to save him."

"But he's an equalists he hates benders and you want me to heal him?!"

"I'm an equalists as well."

"You're different and you know this."

"That's right, but do you know what is the difference between me and the others. I know that not all benders are bad, I'm not blinded by hatred like them. Do you want to know how to make them stop hating you? You need to make the first step."

"What do you want me to do?"

"I don't want you to forgive and forget, all I'm asking you is take the first step because they surely will not. As long as Amon is running the show, there can not be any peace, but sooner or later, he will be made to step down and a small token of goodwill can come a long way."

"Ok, I understand your point of view and I hope you are right. By the way, I finished healing you. I healed all the damage I could, it still going to leave a scar."

She started healing Master Wu while I took a look in the mirror. It wasn't that bad, it looked kind of cool and it made a nice pair with the scar on my leg.

'God damn metal bender.'

After she finished healing Master Wu I took him upstairs, changed him, and put him to bed then I went back down. We started to eat since Korra moved quite fast with the healing our food was still hot. While we ate I started to fill in Korra.

"Korra, I got to tell you something."

"Sure, what is it?"

"For a while now I had my suspicion that Amon isn't really someone blessed by the spirits but a fraud."

"Wow and this took you how much time to figure out?"

"Ha, ha, very funny, but you got to give it to the man he knows how to make speeches and besides I didn't hear of anybody except the avatar that can take bending away. So this got me to think, how would one go about it?

This lead to more questions. What exactly is bending? How does one bend the elements? How can you stop that? It took me some time but I come up with a theory for the first question. Bending is the process of using one's energy to manipulate matter. This energy is called chi and everyone has it, the reason some can bend and others can't is that is because some are more sensitive to this energy and can perceive it.

Now for the second question, benders use this chi to interact with the outside world. People have all four elemental energies in them but are attuned to a single element and can't bend another without external help.

For the last question, well it's not hard, you simply block the flow of chi. Chi blocking is said to be based on hitting pressure points on the body so that you block the flow of energy when in reality that is only the side effect. The chi in our bodies has a circulatory system same as blood and under those pressure points, there are also intersections where multiple "chi veins" meet. This is the reason when we hit there bending goes away.

Now let's take a look at how Amon takes bending away. He puts his hands on your head and neck. Then you're bending is taken away. It might seem simple but is anything but that. For starters, he puts his hands under two huge points where "chi veins" meet and blocks them. What he does isn't to taking bending away it is to block your ability to bend, to disrupt the natural flow of the energy there. Now the question is how does he do that? Any ideas?"

"With bending?"

"Yes, and what amazing bending it is. To be able to do it so subtly and yet to be able to cause so much damage you need to be a master."

"Less idolizing, more useful information."

"I don't idolize him, I simply give credit where credit is due. Now for what kind of bender he is, fire and air are out of the question since the victims aren't burned and air benders are almost extinct. It remains earth and water. Earth is a no-go, while one could manipulate the bone structure of a person it's too risky and even if it succeeds the person will die from shock. Water bending remains, probably blood bending, the question is how. How does he do it? He does it all the time and blood bending can be only performed once in a full moon."

"This is great, Ethan. We should tell Tenzin and the police captain."

"I know that you are excited about this and all, but we have one small problem here."

"You can't prove anything you said right?"

"Nailed it in one. This is only my theory I can't prove any of this yet. We should tell them but first I would like more information, here you come in, I need you to speak with the past avatars."

"It's a great idea, but I can't."

"Why?"

"I don't know how."

I facepalmed I remembered that Korra doesn't even know how to meditate properly and I'm here asking her to talk with her past lives.

"From tomorrow on I'll teach you. Now go home and get some sleep, I think Tenzin is probably worried by now."
