"By the way, what is in the cases?"

I smile mysteriously at Asami.

"Insurance if the Island is attacked. Believe me, if the Equalists have the guts to attack here they have another thing coming. Let's just leave it at that."

"Ok... We are going to the training area, are you coming? I heard you have training Korra in ways to combat chi blocking it would be nice if you could show us some moves as well!"

"I wanted to work on some more stuff to use in case of emergency but that can wait, It's a good idea to train since we are going to confront Amon and his followers quite often from now on. Let's go."

We made our way to the training area and we started to stretch after that Nya took Asami and Bolin to a part of the field and I was left with Mako.

"Well, I believe in hands-on experience so we are going to spar and I'm going to give you tips after the fight, and then we will train the parts that need improvement. Don't hold back, I can take it."

He only nodded and got into position and so I did.

"Begin!"

Mako started strong, by doing a tripe hit combo bending fire out of his fist, I dodge sideways and I start to run in order to close the distance. He tried to hit me, but with no success, when I got two about half a meter away from him he fired a shot at my head. I leaned back and did a leg sweep in order to get him off balance. Unfortunately, he was light on his feet and this did little to make him lose his cool.

I decided it was time I stopped playing around and I started to run even faster at him and move unpredictably. Seeing this he did the same thing going all out. I knew that Mako was skilled but since I mostly saw him during competition, where some moves are illegal I couldn't grasp fully how good he was. He did some crazy moves and even use lighting, there were some close calls here and there, but nothing to threaten my life, besides I didn't go all out since I just recovered and it would be better to take things slow.

I finally managed to get close to hun and I started my attack, in less than ten seconds I hitting his pressured points leaving him to fall to the ground.

Since the fight was over I pressed another set of pressure points to let his body be able to move again.

"It was a good fight. You need to work a little on your close combat and you will be able to fight most equalist with no problem."

There were a few seconds of silence since I said all I had to say and he didn't know how to chose his words. Just as was about to say something he finally started to talk.

"Hey, man, I know it was weird lately and that was entirely my fault. It took me some time to wrap my head around all the stuff you told me. I'm a simple man and I like simple things so it was hard for me to understand you at first. But the more I thought about it, even when though you were part of the Equalists, you've been nothing but a good friend. You help my brother and me for such a long time and you never wanted to put us in danger. What I'm trying to say is that I'm happy that we're friends."

"I'm happy as well... I'm happy I meet you, all of you..."

Even though I lived a life already I can't say I was mature when I arrived here. I lived more than twenty years in my original world but I can't say I went past the mental age of a fourteen-year-old. Sure I went to university and had a job, but the responsibility wasn't a thing I understood. I went through life as a fish went through the water, nothing really sticking. I was good at a few things but I was never that great, if not for getting my 'limbo state' I would have been bound to be a mediocre person at best here.

All the stuff that happened to me in this world, the good and the bad, made me grow as a person. I meet all of my friends Kai, Zane, Nya, Mako, Bolin, Korra, Asami that pushed me to be better.

Although my past life was more peaceful and more stable I didn't have a reason to grow further, now in this more chaotic world I need to grow faster, to be more mature, I need to grow! This was the push I needed to become the person I always wanted to be.

I put my hand over his shoulders and I started to laugh. At first, he was confused but he started to laugh as well.

We then went to the others and started to train together with them. We had a fun time now that everything was fine between us so we trained till nightfall. After a quick bath, we went to have dinner.

All that could be heard were waves of laughter and singing, for a brief moment, all our worries were washed away.
