"…"
"…"
Hearing Momo's request Aito was surprised inwardly, but he didn't show it outside. He was calmly sipping on the now cold tea.
Amidst the sounds of Ciel's laughter, Aito voiced out his thoughts.
'So, she's more cunning than I thought.'
Ciel who was laughing in his head calmed down and voiced her opinion.
[I don't think that's cunning; she just used her head to not fall into your trap.]
'True.'
[But I do think she's much kinder than you thought she was though!]
'You're right, she could've just ignored me and kept that request that I gave her, using it in the future would've been much wiser. But if she uses this chance to make a really good relationship with me, she could benefit more from it rather than that uncertain request.'
[Sigh, I'm pretty sure she didn't think that far! She must've just wanted to form a good friendship with you, you did say you didn't have any other friends.]
'Well let's see how that goes!'
On the outside, Aito was looking at Momo with an intense gaze. And that gaze was making Momo uncomfortable. But before long Aito put the tea cup down and started to speak.
"What do you mean? I'm not a professional trainer or anything."- Aito said this with his business smile back on his face.
Hearing this Momo regained her composure and said with a straight tone,
"You just have to spar with me. To be honest, Sparring with you raised my Bojutsu skills more than it ever did in the Dojo I've been going to!"
"Is that so? But I still vividly recall you saying 'I don't want to be your punching bag anymore.'"- Aito said while picking up a cookie he was desperately craving for.
Hearing that, Momo forcefully swallowed the tea she was drinking and said in a slightly flustered tone.
"Of course, you will have to lower the difficulty by a notch. I want you to train, not torture me."
"Are you sure? You can use the request I gave you in a more productive way in the future."
Seeing Aito's inquisitive gaze Momo nodded in a resolute way,
"I'm sure, I am someone thriving to be a hero, and combat power is something I severely lack. Honing my martial arts is a must."
Hearing that Aito Smirked. That was a smirk Momo hadn't seen in a while. And for some reason that sent a definite shiver down her spine.
"Very well, Let's see how long you will last."
"What?!" Momo asked in a surprised tone.
"Nothing, I was saying that I will do my utmost in helping you become a splendid hero."
Even while saying such righteous things, Aito still had a nasty grin.
Seeing this, the chill on Momo's back intensified. She was starting to doubt her decision but Aito was decisive in his actions.
"N-Now that I think about it.." -cutting Momo's shuddering voice, Aito stood up snatching some more cookies into his hands, saying,
"I will take my leave Momo-Chan, you should rest today. You have to prepare for tomorrow's lesson after all."
"W-What? You don't have to!! We can start after the summer vacation en-."
"Shh Now that I've decided to help you become a pro, there is no going back. I'll be here tomorrow. Oh, and don't forget to tell your mom her cooking was nice." -leaving these words behind Aito left.

A 14-year-old girl was swinging a long metal staff at a 16-year-old-looking boy. even though she was only 14, her body figure was exuding a mature aura.
The boy was parrying and evading the strikes as if it was nothing. He was wielding a Chinese single-edged sword defensively with one hand behind his back.
The sword was real, the several pieces of cleanly cut metal staffs scattered around served as proof for that. The girl's eyes were focused to the extreme, looking for an opening from her sparring partner to give a decisive blow. Or at least she was trying to.
The sparring was going on for a while now, once every minute the boy would split the staff, prompting the girl to produce another one in a matter of seconds.
These were naturally Momo and Aito. Momo improved a lot from the past year when she was left sprawled on the floor while gasping for Air. Her creation speed was increasing at an astonishing speed, day by day. If it took her 2 to 3 seconds to make a metal staff before. Now she can make one in 0.5 seconds mid-battle. That was an insane speed, compared to the canon which took One full second even while on full concentration, the growth speed can only be called insane.
Well, she could only adapt and improvise, since if not, Aito would beat her up black and blue, unable to lift a single finger. Well, not black and blue, since he would only push her to the limits of exhaustion and stop. Without even leaving a single injury.
She couldn't back off midway since she was the one to ask him to train her in martial arts. But the past two years were unforgettable to Momo. Not only was she able to improve in her martial arts rapidly, she even showed rapid improvements in using her quirk efficiently in battle. Although it would be difficult while fighting multiple individuals at once, her one-on-one fighting skills were top-notch.
Not only were her bojutsu skills on par with Aito she was starting to use her quirk to make an advantage mid-battle. Like using flash bangs to blind the enemy, smokescreens to make an opening, using improvised taser guns to stun the enemy.
Although most of her tricks didn't work against Aito, she knew it was Aito being weird, and it would be effective against most people. Even if she could somewhat match Aito in skills, she couldn't win against him when it comes to sheer strength. Although her strength was increasing day by day, Aito seems to be getting skilled at handling various weapons at an incredible rate, shunning her excitement while growing stronger.
She had to endure painful summer vacation days to get used to being trained by Aito, and she would gladly do it one more time if she ever had to. And it is not because she became a masochist.
Momo genuinely felt sorry for Aito after hearing the things he went through from her mother. But just openly apologizing would be too rude, and judging from his prideful demeanor, it wouldn't be strange for him to barge out saying "I don't need your pity." So, she choose a more roundabout way.
By asking him to train her, not only was she be able to train her martial arts, but by spending more time with Aito, she was able to know him more as a person. During these two years, Aito was the person whom she spent the most time with. Although it was a bit annoying to get used to Aito's shenanigans, he became a part of her everyday life.
In a nutshell, Aito is a prideful, sightly arrogant youth, who wouldn't give his all to anything. But that is the complete opposite of what he shows the others. In others' eyes, he is a benevolent youth who would give his all to anything he is tasked with and is a role model to the entire school. The stark contrast in attitudes didn't affect Momo. Since in her mind, it is a defense mechanism he formed in order to cope with the world. There were only a few individuals he would show his personality, that is, his parents, his maid, and herself.
Momo hated to admit it but she was happy that she was someone Aito was comfortable enough to be around.
The school gym was quite empty, but there were some people loitering around, watching Momo and Aito sparring.
This one particular boy who seemed to be marveling at the spar between the two, Asked the boy standing next to him,

"Hey, do you think they are dating? They are almost together every time I see them."
Boy 2 who was similarly watching their spar said,
"Maybe? But from how they are bickering with each other all the time, I think they are just best friends."
Boy 1 snickered and asked back,
"Really? Do you think so? You know there are no best friends among different genders. Boys especially think with their dicks!!"
"That's just you not understanding the true value of friendship."
"Really? What do you say we make a bet?" Boy 1 asked while wriggling his eyebrows.
…
Momo heard this conversation thanks to her enhanced senses, which she developed thanks to desperately trying to avoid the onslaught that was Aito's Attacks. As they say, metahumans can achieve more results while training their bodies than normal humans.
Anyway, this conversation was, for some reason unpleasant for her to hear.
Just as this thought crossed her mind, a chill ran down her spine as she saw, Aito swinging the sword from the side prompting her to block it immediately. As she blocked the strike, a portion of the staff she was holding was bisected and swung towards the side of the bystanders.
Startling Boy 1 and Boy 2.
Aito turned towards them with a harmless smile on his face. And said,
"Sorry guys, it's getting dangerous here, you should probably leave."
Although Aito's warning was very kindly conveyed, there was an unquestionable authority contained within the voice which refused any kind of refusal.
The boys sweated profusely hearing this and yeeted out of the gym leaving behind a "Y-yes."
"You too Inui!!" Aito turned towards the girl sitting in the corner munching on some snacks like a chipmunk and said in a firm tone.
Startled, the chipmunk franticly looked around and said,
"Me? I didn't say anything though."
"Who said anything about saying anything? It's about to get dangerous, see? Momo is already holding a stun grenade!"
Aito said pointing at Momo who was trying to sneak up on him while he was distracted, wearing a sunglass and holding a flash grenade.
"Tch." – that was Momo.
"Really? How are you guys getting permission to use such lethal weapons in the middle of school grounds?" Inui grumbled while walking out.
…
Aito turned around to face Momo.
"Really? How could you use such lethal weapons on innocent people like me?" Aito was saying this while swinging his Chinese sword which was clearly nonlethal.
"Last time I used it, I saw you charging straight at me with your eyelids closed. Really? How strong is your body?"
"Why don't you find out yourself?" Aito said with a grin while parrying the strike aimed at his midsection.
…
Aito and Momo were sitting on a bench on the school ground while munching on some snacks.
Aito said while looking at some kids playing football'
"Hey, what are your plans for tomorrow?"
"Nothing much, don't tell me you're going to come over?" Momo said while nibbling on a cookie
"I'm not a masochist like you to train on weekends." – he said without much change in his expression.
"Yeah, you are a sadist!" Momo let out an amused chuckle while ducking a swat aimed at the back of her head.
"Anyway, do you want to come with me to Gifu tomorrow?"
"Why are you going there anyway?"
"Let's go sightseeing in Shirakawa."
"As if I'd believe you!"
"…my mom is in Shirakawa attending some business conference. She wants me to go see her."
"…sure! why not."
