After failing to learn basic haki skills Ray was initially very disappointed in himself but he soon forgot about it as he got immersed in the feeling of getting stronger day by day.

It has been two years now since he came to this world. He had no idea where he was, and neither did he try to figure it out during these years.

From time to time there were ships seen on the horizon but Ray didn't attempt to inform them. Why? Because he felt that it would be much better to get stronger on this island. Where apart from the animals that lived here there was no one to disturb him.

Ray's speed, strength, and endurance had explosively improved now because of his training.

He could now cover a distance of hundred meters in less than five seconds now. Something which was humanely impossible.

Similar advancements were there in his strength and endurance. Ray felt that he was now finally ready to go out and explore the world...hopefully he wasn't in the grand line.

After being on this island for two years Ray was already familiar with the time during which most ships were sighted on the horizon so during the early hours of the afternoon he set out on his self-made raft from the coast.

When he was in the deeper waters he stopped rowing the raft and waited while slowly getting drifted by the seawater.

A few hours later a ship finally entered his sights. He waved a big leaf which he was carrying high up to signal the ship that he was there. He continued on doing it for five to ten minutes before finally the ship noticed it and started sailing towards him.

Initially, he thought that it would be a pirate ship but much to his surprise it was a normal cargo ship. 'Has my luck improved?' Ray thought to himself.

A few minutes later he was rescued by two sailors who threw a rope ladder for him to climb up the ship. Ray acted his part of being a person who was caught in a ship wreckage and was drifted to some island.

The sailors helped him by providing him with food and shelter till they reached the nearest dock. Ray also used this opportunity to ask them questions about his surroundings and any other news about what was happening in this world.

He was in the East Blue and from their conversation he got to know that the number of pirates has increased directly over these years indicating that he was in an era after the death of Gold D Roger.

When Ray asked them about their destination he found out that they were going towards Logue Town. Ray was very pleased to know that because it would make some things easy for him.

After being on the ship for a week they finally arrived at Logue Town where Ray thanked the crew members before bidding them goodbye.

The sailors offered him some money but Ray refused them by saying that he knew some people in Logue Town because he was already feeling embarrassed by being taken care of by them for so long.

As for his money problems, Logue Town was the best place to solve them. He could either become a bounty hunter or just steal from pirate ships or of course the common people without letting anyone know.

Ray started roaming around the periphery of Logue Town in search of some weak-looking pirates so that he could get some quick money.

By the end of the morning, Ray had beaten up a few pirates and taken whatever money he could carry from them. He first went to a clothes store to get some proper clothes cause he was still dressed in a sailor's worn-out uniform which was given to him on the ship.

He soon came out of the store in a black shirt which was accompanied by grey pants and black boots. Needless to say, he also bought other necessary clothes he needed at the store.

From the people, he got to know that there had been no one here in the Marines named as Smoker. Which meant that he was a few years early. He tried searching for any bounty related to the straw hats but there were none...

'Looks like I'm a bit too early.' Ray thought to himself. He was disappointed that he won't be able to meet the straw hats now. He could decide to stay in Logue Town and wait for them... though it would take a few years if he wasn't wrong and also Logue Town felt very boring to him now.

Ray made up his mind to go to the grand line instead to make use of his time better.

Logue Town was filled with pirates aiming to enter the grand line. So it was quite an easy task for Ray. He first looked for a pirate crew that looked capable enough to enter the grand line and then looked at their ships to check its sturdiness.

If both criteria were satisfied he would sneak into that ship and just hide in a place till they reach the grand line. It felt like a much better idea than taking over the ship.

Ray made some arrangements and then started looking for a good ship with a capable crew. After searching the whole night Ray was able to find around seven of them. He betted on the ones that looked the most promising and mad them his Target.

_____

Right Sinker Pirates were quite excited today because all their preparations were completed and they were ready to set sail and enter the grand line.

They all knew that this journey was one filled with danger and they might die so they all made sure to enjoy their hearts out in the Logue Town or else they won't get the chance.

They were still a bit high from all the liquor they drank yesterday as a result even if they could they didn't notice Ray leisurely entering their ship yesterday and then going below the deck.

The ship soon started sailing towards the reverse mountain. Ray had found a suitable desolate corner in the ship and was now relaxing in the hammock he had made.

It would have been a boring journey but the stupid jokes made by the pirates above didn't let him feel bored and soon they arrived at the reverse mountain.

The atmosphere of the ship also became serious as the crew was no longer joking. The navigator and the person in charge of the steering wheel had a huge responsibility during the start as they had to perfectly enter the gap between the rocks otherwise they along with their ship would disappear from existence.

Ray at that time had packed up his belongings and was ready to escape from the ship the moment things go awry. Luckily no need for that arose as they all safely entered the upward stream.
