I was in the habit of playing games. I could have defeated any game, whatever it was, my opponents, kneeling at my feet with a simple game. But when it comes to school and education. I was second to none because, in my past life, my mum was a mad perfectionist who wanted her son to learn a lot of fruitless and useless things. Who cut off the cable when her son got C's in his last test he hadn't expected but needed him to get into college. For me, it meant that mom cut all forms of entertainment too, so I wouldn't be tempted to watch TV or play games during school hours.

I may love, but my mum from my past life was a crazy bitch! She hated video games in general and would have sent me directly to the military school had she known I was playing them.

So my brother and I played in secret and never told anyone about what we did. We didn't tell our parents either, they weren't no help at all since Dad was a wrestling maniac didn't care much for school and Mother like I said before is crazy about school. Except if it was a matter of making money. And I was allowed to be on E-sport teams that had just won a championship. So I worked in marketing and spent most of my days behind my computer doing things like revising games or creating social media messages.

My favorite thing, however, was to play this game called "La Légende de Zelda: Souffle de la Nature".

Yes, there is a great deal of French in my former life.

I was making bank! A lot of it, actually. My mom told me to calm down and spend more time with my family and friends, but I thought that was foolish. It's the last year before my graduation, and I wanted to make sure everybody remembered my face after graduation.

That was the proudest time of life in those days. Yet, I could think of a prouder time in both my lives that now...

I can walk, baby!

And I was only six months old. Two months ahead of schedule. Mom and Dad were thrilled that their only son was a genius. For you see! A baby builds muscles from an early age, slowly preparing to take their first steps. In general, between six and thirteen months, the baby will crawl. Between 9 and 12 months, they'll pull themselves up. And eight to eighteen months, they're walking for the first time. That's what everyone says anyway.

I made a decision not to be normal. I started walking at the age of five months. I must have looked like a drunken stumbling around the house. I was clumsy as hell and couldn't even stand properly.

I no longer have to settle for the stories Mom told me while trying to make me fall asleep. The baby talk was so condescending and being a baby so god-awful boring, I grumbled out the noises of complaints when she'd stopped too early. My father sometimes told me stories about his past, which provided some clues about what kind of world it was and what it was filled with.

Anthony Rudeus, my father, a hunk; The classic Western standard of male beauty; note there was a period in the 18th and 19th centuries when Pretty Boy was the standard, at least among the elites, but hunks have been more commonly admired at other times the hunk is two things: handsome and manly. Is a former adventurer (apparently, that's a viable occupation in this world) had quite a lot of experience. He was part of several parties that went on expeditions to search for treasure and accomplish missions, quests, and subjugation raids that they acquired from the Adventurer's guild. Dad eventually settled down when he met my mother. At the Fire Nation's border in a city called Krestamore. He later went to the crown city of Ragrur.

He was born in the small farming village in the area known as the Golden Hills and then left to become an adventurer. He proudly told how my mother fell head over heels for him at first sight of him defeating a mana beast the size of houses, but I called BS on that shit when mum decked him in the jaw and told him to stop telling me lies.

I think the reason dad is so tough might be because mum is crazy strong. She once lifted a weird-looking horse that weighed twice her body weight and almost knocked me over. Not to mention, she used to be a farmer by trade. Had the strength of a thousand men.

My name is Gazei Rudeus if y'all didn't know. Gaz for short, which, as a 90's kid, sounded a little too close to Dib's little sister for my taste and a little cute as well, but hey, after getting a glimpse of myself in the crystal mirror in the washroom (no indoor plumbing exists), I look absolutely adorable. I got my mother's long hair but with my father's hair colour. My eyes are a beautiful ocean blue, inherited from my father's grandmother, whom I met once. Also, my skin tone seems to come from my grandmother on my mother's side of the family.

So in other words. Watch ladies and milf's! Prepare to be heartbroken!

There is a reason to why I wanted to walk so early was because of one thing.

The weeks of a disorderly struggle in place, I had finally succeeded; I even managed to sneak into the mother's library when mom was doing her laundry.

This house was much bigger than I originally thought, and I assume, according to my parents, that we lived in the country. My parents also made sure I was reminded of the amount of land and resources we possessed. It appeared that we owned half the farm, but I was never sure.

Mum cried the day I started moving around, sighing "Lil' One you're gonna be as hard to deal with as your dad?" She'd say.

I closed the encyclopedia and became more comfortable on the floor... Basically, I laid down in the back because walking was so tiresome. I must work on my muscle tone and endurance. I enjoyed reading, but I didn't want to be locked up all the time. So I'll try and go out tomorrow.

Pondering over what I had just read, this world seemed more advanced than I thought. It was like cyberpunk, but instead of tech, it was arcane craft. Magic. With magic, anything is possible, right? Magic powered tech like a stone tablet to be like a tablet computer, possessing an assortment of functions.

"So this like magic punk, dragon-punk?" I asked myself.

What gets me is the transportation of this world. My dad showed me his "horse", which was made out of an unknown metal I don't know the name of and powered by Runes. Most of these runes looked like letters and numbers, and the only one I recognized was an F.

That rune, as you may know, is the symbol for Fire.

So, it seems that "horses" are powered by magic through runes to make them move.

They also have airships, not metal ones, but like actual wooden ships. I saw pictures of them in the book, and it reminded me of those sailing ships I learned about in history class.

Some of the other runes have different meanings. Some of them seem to be for communication too. Some for healing and others for protection.

Weapons were freely allowed and not really regulated unless you were in the presence of royalty or hollow grounds. This would explain why every time mum and I go to the outpost town, people always have weapons on them. They must have gotten them from somewhere, I guess.

A similarity that both this world and my previous world shared was the system of monarchy. Well, back in the middle ages, at least. The Land of Fire, which hosts the Fire Nation, is an imperialist nation with a single ruling family that controls all major decisions, including war. The royal family has absolute power over the army, administration, and the courts. The emperor holds supreme authority, with the council acting as his advisors.

After scanning the encyclopedia, there are three other continents besides the one we were currently in. First, there is a continent named the Northern and Southern Snowlands that is apparently covered in snow. It is infested with monsters that live in the mountains, and its oceans are filled with aquatic beasts and seafood.

They are ruled by Water ArchDuke or Duchess. Both of the rulers are the direct descendants of the Water Dragon Emperor. The Water Dragon Emperor is the last surviving descendant of the legendary Water Dragon King, who supposedly lost his life to a sea serpent, and the last survivors of his bloodline are the current generation.

Then is the then Holy Earth Kingdom, the largest island in the world. The Holy Earth Kingdom spans most of the continent, Wakayama, as well as several subsidiary islands; it is the largest and most populated sovereignty in the world and encompasses much of the eastern hemisphere. The kingdom operates as a monarchy under the rule of a single Earth Hierophant and Saintly Seven.

Next are the Air Nomads, or the Air Domain, where the capital city is located at the continent's southern tip. Its population consists entirely of monks and nuns belonging to various temples dedicated to worshipping the goddess of wind, Hurotas. Though the people of this nation were nomadic, the Air Nomads raised children and situated their central governments in four monastic temples located at various ends of the globe, two for males and two for females. The four air temples are situated on small archipelagos where Air Nomad land on the tip of the mountains.

The Air Nomads were loosely governed by elder councils, one male and one female, with each council run by a head monk or nun that was appointed by the Head Priestess. These elders acted as counsellors to the Head Priestess, who had ultimate authority in the temple. Each elder council comprised eight members, consisting of the Head Elder, the Head Nun, and six other Council Elders.

I shouldn't stop now lets learn how to do magic!
