Anthony walked up to Romeo and Juliano, who were sitting at the park bench. He had been wondering what he could say the entire drive here, but the right words…

Romeo looked at him, then looked at the two kids he brought with.

Juliano rushed up to Antonio and jumped on him. “You made it, you made it, you made it!”

“Okay, okay,” Antonio said, and pulled him off.

Juliano wrapped his arms around his neck and didn’t let go.

Nylah walked up to him and said, “I’m Nylah.”

Juliano pouted. Looking at her, he said, “I’m Juliano… I mean Romeo, nice to meet you.”

“You’ve got pretty eyes,” she complimented him.

Antonio grew jealous. He liked Juliano’s eyes, but he said nothing about it.

Juliano grinned, “I know. I get them from my daddy.”

Nylah looked at Romeo and frowned. He didn’t have green eyes.

“Not this daddy, I have two daddies,” he said, squeezing Antonio, who started suffering.

“I have three daddies. Anthony, Justin and Niam. Tonio has three daddies too,” she said.

Anthony sat down opposite Romeo and said, “I never thought that we’d meet up like this.”

Romeo smirked. “Yeah, you wanted to put me behind bars badly.”

Anthony turned to the children who were walking off and said, “I noticed that Tonio and Romeo Jnr like each other a bit too much.”

“They do?” Romeo asked and looked at them.

He nodded his head. “Tonio doesn’t get along with other children, but he lets Romeo do as he pleases. He even speaks about him at home.”

“Maybe he didn’t have the right kids in his life,” Romeo suggested.

He nodded his head.

“I thought Justin was supposed to be here?” He asked.

“Nylah asked me to take the day off. I think she suspects her father doesn’t like my son,” he said.

Romeo nodded his head as he recalled his last encounter with Justin.

“Yeah. From what Juliano says, Antonio doesn’t like him one bit,” he said.

Anthony gazed at him with a frown. He wasn’t around enough to see the signs and he only heard bits and pieces from Nylah. Antonio never mentioned it.

“Did Romeo say anything?” He asked.

Leaning forward, bored, he asked, “And why should I tell you that?”

“I’d tell you if something was bothering your son,” he said.

“And I’d take your word for that?” Romeo asked sarcastically.

Anthony stared at him for a moment then said, “He caught you fucking Halo.”

Romeo looked at him, surprised, then burst out laughing. He wiped his tears away then said, “Well shit, of course he did.”

“I don’t think he knows it. He told Tonio that Halo was making funny sounds and when he went to check, you to were kissing naked,” he explained.

Romeo laughed so hard that it made his stomach hurt and even Anthony started laughing too.

Wiping his tears away, he said, “Well, yeah, Antonio doesn’t like Justin. He hasn’t hit him, but he just ignores him. He spoils Nylah rotten and doesn’t even buy your son candy. And Niam is too busy sucking Justin’s dick to care. Juliano also complained about how Niam yells at Antonio in the mornings before school.”

Anthony sighed. “I guessed as much.”

“Why don’t you just raise him or send him to your mother?” He asked.

Looking at him, he asked, “How can I? I don’t want to take him away from his father.”

“Look, from what I heard, Niam has one focus, and that is to get himself a man. The children are from failed attempts,” he explained.

Looking at him Anthony said, “But shit was going fine between us. Niam found out about my daughter, then he just left me. He didn’t even give me a chance to explain.”

Romeo sighed, “Niam wants perfect even though he isn’t perfect. His life was fucked up because of lies between his parents. Justin didn’t want him, and you kept something from him.”

“It started as just sex between us,” he said.

“Like I said, Niam wants a husband to look after him and as soon as Justin fucks up, he’ll be back in your arms,” he said.

Anthony sighed. He hoped he could get together with Halo, but the person in front of him would not let him go.

A thought popped into his head and he asked, “I don’t have a stable home to raise him in. Would you be okay with helping me? I know the boys would love it and I will definitely give you the money, but I need to get my son out of there.”

Romeo raised a brow. “Did you forget that you and I have a past? Not to mention that you fucked Halo.”

Anthony chuckled, “And that has nothing to do with our kids. I know Halo wouldn’t mind it.”

“Don’t force your problems on me, please,” he said.

Anthony stared at him as he thought about it, then said, “I could have put you in jail a long time ago, but I left you alone for Halo’s sake. You wouldn’t even have Romeo.”

“Is that so?” Romeo smirked.

Anthony tilted his head. “Let me put it this way. I know it was Halo who killed my partner. I have all the evidence and I could put him away as well as you. Then poor little Romeo junior will be put into the system because Mc Clelland will get arrested too as well as your mother and his ex-wife.”

“You motherfucker,” Romeo said, pissed off.

Anthony smiled, “I asked you nicely the first time. It’ll just be for a few months until I end the current case I am on.”

Romeo looked away with a grunt.

Anthony smirked. He got up and sat down beside him and whispered in his ear, “And who knows, maybe I’ll let you fuck me when I’m free.”

Romeo turned to him and saw the smirk on his face. He raised a brow and said, “That would just implicate you.”

He shrugged. “I’m bored and horny. The state doesn’t give a shit, so why should I.”

“Really?” Romeo asked.

Anthony nodded his head.

“Daddy, can I marry Tonio?” Juliano asked as he shoved fries in his mouth.

“No,” Romeo rejected the idea. Just imagining him being in-laws with Anthony after all the shit he put him through, then he still wants to have sex?

“Why not?” Juliano asked angrily.

Romeo looked at him and said, “Because there is a whole shitty story about why you can’t marry him. His daddy hates your daddy. I don’t like Anthony, who could’ve probably been your daddy instead of me, and Anthony is a cop.”

“But I like cops, dad,” he said.

“And I don’t!” He said.

“Why?” He asked.

“Because my father was a cop, and he was a terrible person. And cops aren’t supposed to be,” he hissed at him.

Juliano’s eyes watered. There was so much he didn’t understand and at this rate, even if he tried to be friends with Antonio, things weren’t looking good.

He kept quiet and continued eating.

Romeo looked at his child, and the anger that was building up it was hard to explain.

Sighing, he said, “Juliano, I’m sorry. There is really so much that I need to tell you, but I want you to be a child for as long as I can protect you. I will tell you everything one day and I just need you to wait until then. After I tell you everything and you still want to be with Antonio, then I will let you be, but until then, just be a child, okay, and don’t worry about any of the adults’ problems, okay?”

“Yes, daddy,” he mumbled.
