“I don’t believe him,” Juliano suddenly said.
Romeo looked at him and saw that he was looking at Halo and Dr Martin speaking on the other side of the window.
“What don’t you believe?” He asked.
Juliano looked at him as he answered, “That I am okay to go home.”
Romeo raised a brow confused, “Is it because you are still in pain?”
He nodded his head, “Yeah.”
Romeo chuckled, “That’s normal and your body is adjusting.”
Juliano was sceptical. “Why are you okay?”
Romeo puffed out his chest and hit it. “Because I’m strong. Look at these muscles.”
Juliano stared at him unconvinced, “I heard you are a big softy.”
“Did Halo tell you that?” He asked.
He nodded his head.
Romeo rolled his eyes. “Always ruining shit.”
“Ah, you cursed. You owe me ten dollars,” Juliano said seriously and held out his hand.
Romeo looked at his palm, then at him and asked, “Are you kidding me? Who does this shit, and ten dollars? Other kids ask for five, but your ass went straight up to ten?”
“That’s thirty dollars, sir. The longer you take, the amount increases,” he said.
Romeo stared at Juliano for a moment and saw in his eyes that he was very serious.
He took his wallet out of his bag and opened it. As he looked inside, he saw he had one hundred-dollar bills. Taking one out, he handed it to him.
Juliano frowned and asked, “Can’t you count?”
“I’m older than you,” he answered.
“That doesn’t mean you can count,” he said.
Romeo chuckled, “Take it as an advance payment because my ass likes to cuss.”
He folded the bill and placed it in his pocket and said, “I’m going to be rich then.”
Romeo nodded his head. He had so much money and he planned to give seventy percent of it to Juliano.
Halo walked into the room and said, “Come boys, I’ve checked you both out.”
“Both?” Romeo asked, confused as he stood up.
Halo nodded his head as he walked up to him. He wrapped his arm around Romeo’s waist and asked into his ear, “Did you forget we’re married?”
Romeo frowned. When Halo left, he looked for a Halo Mc Clelland and a Halo Mc Clelland-Washington but couldn’t find him.
Halo chuckled and looked at his son, asking, “Ready to go bub?”
Juliano shook his head, “Daddy, if he is going to live with us, then I’ll pay the rent money.”
Halo raised a brow. “Why?”
“Apparently, he swears a lot,” Juliano said as he walked past them.
Halo looked into Romeo’s eyes amused and asked, “How much did he charge you?”
“Ten dollars. What the fuck?” Romeo complained.
Walking towards the exit of the hospital, Halo said, “Well lucky you, he charges his grandfather fifty.”
Romeo glared at Juliano’s back, and he could tell that he was smiling. He shook his head, amused, asking, “How much does he charge you?”
“Oh, I don’t cuss anymore,” he said proudly.
“The lies you tell,” Romeo scoffed.
Halo looked up at him then whispered into his ear, “I asked the doctor and he said you are well enough to FUCK me.”
A smile grew on his lips. He turned to Halo and said, “We’ll wait and see.”

Halo brought Romeo to the house they were staying in and he couldn’t believe that it was so close to home. He stayed in the same area where they grew up in, and it was a few blocks away from his childhood home.
Romeo and Juliano went to sleep after dinner because of the medication and left Halo to check up on what was not done while he was away.
When he went to sleep, Romeo woke up an hour later. He shared Halo’s bedroom and was pretty surprised when Halo suggested he should sleep with him.
Getting up, he went to get water for him, then explored the house. Halo told him about the security pin when they arrived.
Going back up the stairs, he went to Juliano’s room and switched on the night light.
Juliano wasn’t asleep, but he was zoning out as he stared at the ceiling. He turned to the door when Romeo came in and smiled. “You’re awake too?”
Romeo nodded and closed the door. He walked up to the bed, ready to sit down, but Juliano scooted over, saying, “You can share my bed with me.”
“Are you sure?” He asked.
Juliano nodded his head. “I can’t fall asleep in a stranger’s home.”
Romeo chuckled as he climbed in and let Juliano close him. He looked at his son, who was sitting up and looking at him, and asked, “Do you mind if I hold you?”
Juliano shook his head and moved closer. He laid against Romeo’s chest and Romeo closed his arms, holding him.
Romeo stared into the dark corner of Juliano’s room and could feel his walls breaking. He kissed Juliano between his curly hair and soon Juliano was moving oddly.
He wanted to get up because he didn’t like the shaking and when he wanted to say something; he heard Romeo sniff.
His eyes widened, surprised, and he grew scared and confused.
Romeo hugged him tighter and kissed him again on his head and said, “It’s only been three weeks and I already love you so much.”
Juliano was confused and didn’t know what to say. He loves Romeo too but should be say it?
Romeo scared him as well, but he didn’t want to show it.

When Juliano felt it was safe to speak, he said, “My friend has gay parents, too.”
“Mn?” Romeo hummed as he was pulled from his thoughts.
“Mn,” Juliano hummed too. He sat up and looked at Romeo. Crossing his legs, he explained, “At school, there’s a girl I am friends with and she has two dads, but I don’t think she likes them.”
Romeo raised a brow. “Why do you think that?”
“At school she is always complaining that she wants a mommy and not a daddy who dresses up like a woman sometimes,” he explained.
Romeo smiled, amused. “And you are telling me this?”
“I’m making conversation,” Juliano answered with a raised brow.
Romeo ‘oh’d’ and sat up. Looking at his son, he asked, “What about you?”
He shrugged, “I don’t know. I like you and I like Halo. Both of you are my dads, so I’m good, and I think she doesn’t like them because the other children tease her.”
Romeo frowned and nodded his head. “And?”
“I stood up for her the one time and got my ass beat,” he said, and pouted.
Romeo didn’t know if he should laugh or cry. He ruffled his hair and said, “Well, that is all going to change. I’ll teach you how to fight.”
Juliano’s eyes widened. Looking at him excitedly, he asked, “So, is it true?”
“Is what true?” He asked.
“What my grandfather told me about you?” Juliano asked as he took Romeo’s hand in his and started playing with his fingers.
“What did he say?” Romeo asked as he hoped for the worst because that man didn’t like him.
“That you always got into trouble and even got arrested by the man who was almost my other daddy?” Juliano rambled.
Romeo looked at his son, wondering why in the hell did he have to tell him that.
“Almost your other daddy?” He repeated.
Juliano nodded his head.
Romeo nodded his, “That is true, but don’t call him your other daddy. I don’t like it.”
