Well, that’s all for later. Right now, Cheng Zhaoci is going to announce a hiatus on his ‘Theoretical Time Turnaround’ series for a month, during which he and his cijun will be doing something important, like doing their part for the looming population crisis of the insectoid society, for example.
It is a fact that Cheng Zhaoci’s comics have changed things. It has proven the effectiveness of literature and media on the mental wellbeing of insectoids and on establishing a stable, healthy society.
Even so, he must be on hiatus for a week to sleep! He’s gotta make up for all the times they did! Not! Sleep!
“Xiao Ji, Huaijian-ge, do you two know how much exertion is needed until even grade S shemales would feel exhausted?”
“Huh?” Xiao Ji tilts his head, and answers, “exhausted? Maybe if you pit him against an entire group of pirates? I suppose that’s tiring.”
He Huaijian gives Xiao Ji a dismissive look and snort. While Xiao Ji is scratching his head in confusion, He Huaijian leans close to Cheng Zhaoci and says, “tell the Vice-marshal to take you to virtual mecha fights.”
“Huh?” Cheng Zhaoci doesn’t get it. He knows he’s still bad at piloting mechas, which actually didn’t change after he Awakened. Even though he can replicate every single move Wei Zhuo makes, his hands and muscles cannot do it quickly enough to be any use in battle.
Wait, so since he’s still the mecha noob, does He Huaijian mean to tire Wei Zhuo out by him dragging him down during play because his movements are utterly amateurish? It sure hurts to hear that.
He Huaijian is still not finished, though, he continues whispering, “buy the gaming pod for your house directly, the one that can fit both insectoids inside. Grade S shemales are good enough to keep up with piloting both mechas. So, when he’s busy fighting, you can do whatever you want to him.”
“If he’s busy fighting 1-on-2 by controlling 2 mechas at once, and also being… harassed by you, he’ll tire out in just a few rounds, I’m sure,” then He Huaijian leans back with his usual poker face. He is still the cold and rational He Huaijian.
No one would have the slightest inkling of what absurd suggestions he just spouted.
Cheng Zhaoci, meanwhile, is clearly in shock. Not just because he has a whole new avenue of wholesome activities opened to him, but because it is He Huaijian who made the suggestion. He always thought He Huaijian was someone who didn’t pay attention to things going on around him outside of his tech stuff.
He Huaijian… has grown up, surely.
But the suggestion is useful, yes.
Cheng Zhaoci nods with a serious face. Yes, he is learned now.
“What were you talking about? Hey bro?” Xiao Ji looks to-and-fro, but the two insectoids are merely sharing meaningful glances with each other, and ignoring him.
Xiao Ji feels excluded, but Cheng Zhaoci pats Xiao Ji on the shoulder, “after you have your own xiongzhu, you’ll understand. It’s still too early for you right now. Be a good insectoid and let’s drop the topic,” Xiao Ji is still the weird insectoid who covers his eyes in shame when he sees racy magazines, you see.

Xiao Ji begs to differ though. Aren’t the two of them the same age?!
But even He Huaijian is nodding affirmatively to Cheng Zhaoci’s suggestion.
So Xiao Ji just gives up. He knew it. Sometimes he just isn’t smart enough to get what they’re talking about.
Honestly, not even having an inkling of what his good brothers are talking about makes him want to tear up a little, but he’s a tough insectoid. Yes. A tough insectoid never cries.
Putting the plan to action as soon as possible, Cheng Zhaoci has already bought an immersion pod optimised for virtual mecha fights, even using his past year of ‘work experience’ to tweak it so that the chamber would be comfortable even when he is doing… stuff inside.
Yes, he’s making it very comfortable indeed.
He must thank his grade S mental aptitude that brought him an insane academic ability, and thank the advanced scientific and technological development the insectoid race enjoys. Oh, and he must also thank Bai Jun for his helpful suggestions.
Really, isn’t it strange all these single insectoids who are also socially anxious so knowledgeable in private? Knowledge they should and maybe shouldn’t really know, they know even better than him, who’s lived two lives and already has a cijun.
Cheng Zhaoci manages the changes on time, just a day before Wei Zhuo’s holiday begins.
“Virtual mecha fights?” Wei Zhuo almost refuses outright hearing talk of this on the dinner table.
No one can understand the psychological trauma just hearing those words brings him. That said, his xiongzhu did Awaken, so he’s probably not going to die as easily. He also saw that the equipment has already been bought. He bought ones for dual play… He should be better able to protect his xiongzhu then. So Wei Zhuo relents.
That said, he felt odd when his xiongzhu insists on taking a shower before playing, and odder when he enters the pod’s chamber in his bath robes. It’d hinder their movement quite a lot.
And in fact, for the first two rounds, his xiongzhu doesn’t even move much. Wei Zhuo finds himself pulling most of the weight here. Then his xiongzhu even turns to ask if he’s able to win by himself.
Wei Zhuo nods. It is true that he can handle himself alone.
Then his xiongzhu tells him to continue his stellar piloting, before throwing the robe away, and starts pawing at his body.
Wei Zhuo gasps. This is really strange, really, really strange!
