Seth is given by his family to the famous academy, only to be taken away by a man in a black frock that doesn't pale in the light. His name is taken from him and he is given another only to find himself amongst a group of warriors feared and spoken off in rumors and half-whispers. With writings in mists, voices in his head, and a broken mind, he must attain his own powers in a world rife with men strong enough to kill with a touch and crack the world with simple words. All in a world rampant with beasts and where magic comes from crystallized fragments of souls.

Follow Seth in his search for power that leads him further away from home as he trudges forward on a path granted to him by a man who has taken his name and his home.

Thus, guided by quests and objectives and voices in his head, he paves a path that is his by choice and by fate. One already written in time.
