After an hour of preparation, I had gathered all the tools that I needed to go mining. A stone pickaxe, a stone shovel, and a torch. It all lay within my inventory.
'Hopefully, that's all I am going to need.'
I thought of my journey underground before glancing around for an area to begin mining.
"This spot should be good."
I commented, before walking over to the flat grass and holding my hand out. The stone shovel appeared in my hand.
[Stone Shovel of Mediocre Quality]
I began to dig, throwing my shovel into the dirt, collecting the dirt and throwing it to the side. Then beginning once again, throwing it back into the dirt, collecting it and throwing it to the side.
*Bang*
I stopped and blinked.
The shovel had seemed to hit something.
I gazed before seeing a layer of rocks right under the spot.
"I see, it looks like I came across rocks."
I commented as I took my shovel back into my inventory and took the pickaxe into my hand.
I held the pickaxe over my head and slammed it into the stone. There was a slight chip into the stone.
"Hm..."
I commented.
That small chip was completely against my expectations, since it was a lot smaller than I expected it to be.
'I thought it would have done more damage. But it seems like I wasn't trying hard enough!'
I held the pickaxe over my head again and slammed the tip right into the stone. The stone collapsed into many various tiny pieces.
"Uh..."
I stared.
"I don't think I can work with this..."
I pouted.
Using a pickaxe was completely different from what I thought it would have been like.
Instead of being a weapon of mass destruction that could end worlds, it was just a tickle from a child.
I sighed before walking back.
"I should have known that it was a stupid idea."
I dropped into bed and stared up into the ceiling.
'Swirling, swirling, swirling...'
I began to describe my mood.
"Uh."
I jumped out of bed to see the silhouette of a stranger standing over at the door.
I huddled against the wall with a frantic gaze.
"I mean no harm."
She said as she began to walk closer towards me. She had a gray cloak over her head, which prevented me from gazing at her face.
"So what are you doing here?"
She asked.
My thoughts began to run wild.
Could she be some kind of kidnapper?!
Could she be some sort of alien trying to kidnap me for some illegal experimentation!?
Is she trying to capture me and sell me off to some slave trader!?
"Ah. I see. You must've been afraid because of this."
She dropped her cloak down onto the ground.
She looked like a princess with her jet black hair and her crimson eyes that stared into my soul with the authority of a dragon.
"Uh. Are you there?"
She flicked me on the head and I blinked.
"Ri-right."
I spoke up as I realized that I was lost in my thoughts.

"So what are you doing here?"
She asked once more.
"I live here."
I commented truthfully and she came closer to me and glanced over to the side of my body. Her eyes were watching me observantly.
"By yourself or without someone else?"
"All by myself!"
I answered truthfully and in a happy voice.
She sighed.
"I doubt it. So where are your parents?"
She began looking around my house and even glanced outside for a moment.
"Uh. Believe or not, but I am an adult."
She chuckled as she heard the words spew out of my mouth.
"An adult? Seriously. You're more like an eight grader!"
She said as she continued to gaze onto my body, more specifically my legs and my hands.
"Is there so-"
She instantly grabbed a hold of me and I began to blush profusely.
"Uh! What is this for!?"
I screamed as she began to hug me tighter.
"I'm going to bring you to your parents."
"I said that I was an adult!"
"I doubt it."
She said before glancing off.
She carried me in hand before sighing.
"Hey! I don't even know why you are kidnapping me! But that w-"
"Wait. Didn't you say you were an adult earlier? At least keep your lies consistent."
She said with a smug look growing onto her face.
"It's still kidnapping, even if I am an adult!"
I screamed, and she began to scratch her hair.
"There's no need to be so loud."
--
I was back in my room again, and I was accompanied by the girl. The two of us sat on the bed.
"... And that's what happened ever since I was summoned to this world."
"Odd. I wouldn't have expected someone like you to be from another world. I expected those types to be more mature and more stoic, rather than some loud shortie."
'Shortie... Shortie...'
"I'm not the shortie! You're just tall!"
"That still makes you short."
"Back in my country, I was of average height!"
"So the people in your land can be even shorter. Hmm..."
She noted as she brought her hand up to her chin and began nodding.
"With this in mind, I should call you shortie."
"Don't."
"Shortie."
"Once again, I'm not sh-"
"It's either shortie or kid. Which one would you like to be?"
I sighed.
"Just use my name."
She stared into my eyes.
"I thought your name was Shortie..."
