'Now I'm entering the forest, once again. For like the something time this, fifth I think. Can't really be sure of such a thing since I am not planning to keep a track of that.'
I entered the forest once more and began to think of the girl from earlier.
'I wonder how Iffy made her way to my house? And where she lives... She's pretty interesting and it would be nice to visit her in the future. Though, I wish that she manages to introduce me to some kind of segment of civilization so I won't feel so lonely!
I pondered for a bit as I marched past the large oak tree once again. He was just as large as last time, though he wasn't as interesting as he had been the last time around. Out of boredom, I turned back toward the large oak tree with my eyes staring blankly at it. Upon glancing at it, I noticed something.
The tree seemed to have some kind of light incisions marked into its bark. It was quite odd and thought it could have just been some natural design of the tree or something like that. I felt as if it was not the case. The design of those fine lines was really dissuading me from believing it as being a natural occurrence. After all, those incisions into the tree looked too fine. it was as if these were handmade incisions with riveting currents which seemed to remind me of the waves. Curling and curling. But, now that I am thinking about it, it appears as if this pattern was made by a sword.
"A sword!"
My voice boomed throughout the entire forest.
'That's it! I should get a sword! That would give me something to do and allow me to protect myself if some kind of bad guy appears! A wooden sword would be nice, and thankfully the recipe for that is in my crafting system. Though, I might move on a stone sword if I managed to master the wooden sword. My only concern with the stone sword is the fact that it may be too heavy, so I will definitely have to work my way up!'
My eyes glimmered with passion.
'And with this weapon not only can I better protect myself, I can also protect Iffy! Though I have my stone pickaxe and stone axe. Two sharp tools that I could be using as weapons, ti wouldn't exactly be the best to wield these tools in combat. For one, these items have inherent design flaws that make them unsuitable for long-term use and battle. Two, if they break I'm going to have to craft them again. And most importantly, three! Wielding a pickaxe or axe into battle isn't exactly badass! It's kind of lame, to be honest, I would rather be wielding the large sword that Guts from berserk uses, rather than a pickaxe. Though I doubt I can even carry Guts' sword, which would probably be like 2 Satsukis tall.'
I began to smile before imagining myself in combat against a stranger in a trench coat. He was a mysterious assassin with sharp needles and had wanted me dead. But unfortunately for him! I am a genius spellblade that had mastered both the art of magic and the sword! I leaped towards the drug dealer-looking guy and sliced him into sashimi before casting fire onto his burning body. Future Trunks style!
"Chip!"

My ears rang. I glanced up to the sky and saw a dark blue bird rushing through the sky before landing on the branch of the large oak tree.
The bird had been the first animal that I have seen today. But it's quite odd that it had taken me about 8 or so hours to finally come across a living organism. It's as if God purposely placed me on this part of the map, so I would be able to adapt and develop to the world in peace. It's like God is really looking out for my success by giving me all these good fortunes. Coming to this world, the crafting system, the berry bush, the forest, and Iffy!
"God, I'll definitely make that shrine look good!"
I said with a smile before immediately shivering.
It's a bit cold now. Must be because the night is coming soon.
'Oh yeah. I should be collecting wood.'
I slapped myself out of my confused trance before walking towards a tree and logging it. Then I did the same thing to another tree. Another one. Another one. Another one. And another. And some more trees.
"I'm finally done."
I said as my face fell against the dirt. My body was aching and screaming out in pain as I fell to the ground almost unconscious.
'I'm completely drained. Is this what being a college student is like?'
