Chapter 28: Goodnight Satsuki

I sighed as I finally made my way back to my room. It was a long day. A surprisingly long day. It felt longer than yesterday. This is kind of concerning since on that day I was doing infinitely much more than today, but I guess this day compensates for that activity gap with the fact that the activities that I found myself engaged in were intense. Intense as hell and spent a lot of my day.

"Hmm."

I said as I sat on my bed.

"It might be good for me to go back on my phone and review my plans."
I said before summoning my phone from my inventory and scrolling into the note app.

'Let's see what I have done today.'

I thought to myself before seeing the list of goals that I of yesterday sought to achieve.

1. Expanding my house to a 10-meter by 10-meter house. Make some more rooms.

'Well. I didn't do this. But technically I did expand my community by giving Iffy her own room. Maybe I should move out and make a bigger house for the two of us to live in.'

I thought as I began to bring my hands up to my chin and pondered.

2. Paint the interior of the house if I come across some kind of dye.

'Nope. I can't do this.'

3. Create a bathing room

'Yeah. I don't think I can do this as well.'

4. Create a shrine and give it a room

'I can definitely do this tomorrow! And it should be relatively easy. Also, thank God or that higher power that had brought me into this world.'

5. Find some berry seeds or other berry bushes

'I've done this already.'

6. Get a better bed

'Another thing I can't do. Though at least I might be able to do this with Iffy's assistance.'

7. Find another food source. Eating the blueberries is nice, but it's getting boring and is probably not getting me the nutrition I need

'Technically, I already did this, but I think it would be best to further diversify my diet some more. Rather than just eating 2 things all day, which is quite depressing now that I am thinking about it. I should be eating more than 6 things a day.'

8. Finding or starting a mine. I need somewhere I can just harvest stone.

'This seems achievable, though it would be best for me to find somewhere close to home.

9. Create some kind of pipe system. I doubt that I can do this.

'Yeah. I still doubt that I can do this.'

10. Improve my woodworking and engineering skills

'I can do this at any time, though I doubt that I will get to the level required to do advanced woodworking and engineering stuff. I doubt that I could be like one of those YouTubers that get some random log and make a bowl, a spoon, a fork, and a knife out of it. Though it wouldn't be bad to try. Perhaps I can combine my magic skills with my crafting skills to create some special items! Though, I doubt that I would be doing such a thing anytime soon.

11. Make more torches.

'This is pretty easy, and should be something that I can do a lot of!'

I had read over every suggestion that I had made to myself and feel the urge to fix this list up a bit.

1. Make a proper two-story house that I can share with Iffy.

'Hmm. Maybe I should add a bit of stuff here.'

'Yeah. This should be it.'

I thought to myself before returning my phone to my inventory.

"Good night, Satuski."

Iffy overheard me and replied despite being a room away.

"Thanks."

My eyes flashed before my eyes as I saw her figure laying at the side of my bed. As my eyes were still fuzzy I could not make out the finer details but she seemed to be confused for some odd reason. I could not respond to her confusion as it was so early in the morning and I hadn't gotten the chance to properly compose myself. 

'Why is she bothering me so early in the morning.'

I groaned before throwing myself back into bed.

She began to shake me and I was getting tired of it.

"Fine! What do you want?"

I turned towards her and she gave me a smile.

"Do you tend to wake up this late, princess?"

She chuckled as she firmly grasped my hair and began to shuffle it a bit. Seems like she's trying to deal with my bed head.

"Yeah..."

I yawned.

"Why are you harassing me so early in the morning? I haven't even woken up yet."

"It's important for you to wake up early, princess."

She said as a smile ran across her face and I began to rub my eyes as I began to let out another yawn.

"What's with the princess stuff? And can't you just let me rest more? I've done a lot yesterday, so you should ju-"

She held my shoulder very firmly and began to ache a bit.

"Open your mouth."

Without a thought I had opened it. She had thew a restoration berry into my mouth and I gulped it. 

"Are you feeling better now?"

She asked me as she stared into my eyes.

"Yeah. But, why are you being weird now? You're so much kinder now, that it's kind of worrying me."

She chuckled.

"It was just that I was trying to be nice to you. Is there any issue with that?"

She was back to her normal tsundere tone.

"Just stay like this. The other you is weird. Also, what's with the princess stuff."

"It's because you look like one."

She said before I began to cough.

"Me a princess! It's not as if a thing like that would ever happen!"

"But let's say that you were a princess, how would you live out your life?"

"Hmm. It's a bit hard to answer this question, but I'd probably be living life as I always had! And be a lazy NEET!"

"NEET? Do you mean neat? Like neat person?"

"Looks like I am going to have to explain to you what NEET culture is."

I sighed before beginning the hour-long monologue.
