Chapter 8: NEET Satsuki Home improvement

I continued to stare at the crafting panel as a brilliant smile continued to build onto my face.

It was time for me to enact my plan, a plan that relied on the following item.

[Wooden Cup]

[Crafting recipe: 1 wooden cube for 3 Wooden Cups]

It could be something that changes my life forever... Or it could just be something that I am overhyping for absolutely no reason.

To be honest, are water coolers that cool?

I pressed onto the wooden icon.

"No, just craft 6 cups."

I said, somewhat irritated by the craft all option. Hopefully, there's some way to disable it or something.

"Nice, now I can begin harvesting water for my plan!"

I chuckled as I walked back to the edge of the little spring. I sat on the side of the spring, where a large rock was. Thankfully, it hadn't been wet or dirty, since I would sit on it. By the moment I sat onto the rock, I threw my Wooden Cups and Wooden Buckets into the spring.

*Splash*

A bit of water splashed onto my feet, but it wasn't exactly concerning.

"Inventory."

I said as I swiped my right hand over to the Buckets and Cups that floated in the spring. They had now been filled up with water. I swiped to the left, where my inventory was.

I began to smile, as I watched the items enter my inventory.

'Nice, it should be good to organize my inventory now.'

I placed the berries at the bottom of the right of the inventory and kept all of the wooden items as the right side of the inventory.

Considering the fact that my inventory was a 4 by 4 square box, this load out that I had made was good. It was good for now.

"Now that I'm thinking about it, it would be a good time for me return home."
I said as I stood up and began walking back home.

One walk later.

It seemed like the distance from the spring to my house was about 20 minutes long. Kind of unexpected, to be honest, as I thought it would have taken even longer to return, but I'm not going to continue monologuing about such a thing.

I glanced up to the sky.

"Weather is pretty good today."

I commented before entering my house once again. It was still boring as ever, though that would change! I was going to change my house for the better!

'Now, let's get these renovations started!'

I opened my inventory before realizing something.

"I think I will need to go on a resource collecting montage..."
I said before going on another montage.

One tree cutting montage later...

Though I had found something odd while cutting these trees.

With my arm over me, I held it up over my eyes, putting the sky into the background as I stared at the item.

"I wonder what this could be..."

I said as I dangled the golden necklace, which had a ruby gemstone embedded into its core.

"I wonder what this item is for?"

I pondered as I began to stare at it and glanced at it from the other side.

"Could it be some kind of present from God!?"

I thought as a shock ran through my mind.

"Ah! Speaking of which, I should create a little shrine for the God that brought me to this world! I think that would be a sufficient reward for them... However, that means the list of stuff I'm going to do is rising so much..."

I sighed.

'It's kind of terrifying!'

"Inventory."

I plopped one blue berry into my mouth, and my slight hunger vanished. It was refreshing as ever, and thankfully it had dispelled the negative thoughts and emotions that had clouded my mind.

"Oh yeah! I should definitely harvest more of those blue berries! There were quite a number of them outside. They seriously grow up fast..."

I added another thing to my growing list of plans.

'I should do it after making the shrine, which I will do after sprucing up my room.'

"System."

I opened the crafting system and scrolled through the list of items for a while. I eventually paused.

[Wooden Bed]

[Crafting recipe: 1 Large Wooden Cube or 10 Wooden Cubes]

"I kind of want to get this now."

I commented as I stared at it.

Despite not planning on getting the bed, there had been a growing urge inside of me to press on the Wooden Bed.

"Fine!"

I pressed on the Wooden Bed.

[Large Wooden Cube] [Wooden Cubes]

I pressed on Large Wooden Cube.

[Do you wish to convert all of your 20 Large Wooden Cubes in 20 Wooden Beds?]

"No!"

I puffed up my cheeks. That option was beginning to annoy me...
