Chapter 2: Chapter 1- The Sacrifice

After a three days of hiking in the mountains from town. Alexandria and her team came to the entrance of the ruins curved into the side of the mountain a large doorway with two statues either side of a giant insect millipede coiled around a human warrior and the front half rearing up antenna up and forward and the creatures head about to come down on the warrior with is gaping maw full of teeth.

"Huh weird" Says Vlad A veteran warrior with the standard half plate armour with a shield on his back and a longsword on his hip.

"Yeah I cant believe that monsters made this" Says Ailwi he is the teams Ranger sharp eyes and a steady bow and elegant elven armour.

"Heh hope there is lost treasure in here dad needs a pay day" giggles Ceadrad the teams rouge typical in stealing everything that's not nailed and carrying a crowbar for the stuff that is.

"That enough you three" says Arwen with a sigh having had enough of her companions. She is the parties cleric typical support character thought she only gets on with Alexandria. Typical armoured nun look blue eyes golden hair 

"Yes remember you halfies keep quite this is probably infested with monsters and is were the recent raids have came from so shut up and do the job you were hired for". She hates having to work with halfies aka half-breeds because in there ancestry two humanoids of different spices had a child making the rest of the descendants half breeds and unable to use magic while her and Arwen ancestors only mated with the same humanoid spices make them pure breeds allowing them to cast magic. Alexandria was a pure breed elf and a powerful mage and Alexandria was a purebred human other benefits that made them better than half breeds is a longer life and stronger bodies. She was elven perfection perfect pointed ears and golden eyes with silky blonde hair in a pony tail. 

"Remember its against the law to call us halfies" fires back Ceadrad "since the new set of laws to stop discrimination based on heritage came in."

"Yeah whatever" replies not caring just because their laws didn't stop the discrimination not only was she just better but all pure breeds were in positions of power so there was no one in charge to enforce the laws.

The team formed up and slowly entered the ruin. Wondering down in the ruins the came across goblin effigy's and murals carved in the wall depicting a milliped coming out a egg and a load of monster knelling worshiping the bug, there is a small pixie floating next to the bug. While walking they hear the screeching of classical goblin speak. "Ready everyone just as we thought goblins nothing we cant deal with remember watch out for pure breeds they will be dangerous" Alexandria whispers  everyone else nods In her head Alexandria was hoping she didn't come across a pure breed monster they were a pain in the ass. With monster the rules are different for them to have a half breed they must mate with a humanoid if two different monsters mated nothing would happen unless there was special circumstances, If two monster of the same species mate then they create a pure breed these are powerful monster most with access to magic and a leader ship position in there gatherings it disgusted her just thinking about what they were about to fight.

"Wait" Ailwi says and he point towards the old rotten door a head of them "I can hear foot steps there waiting for us better be ready"

"Everyone standard room entry ok" Alexandria states everyone nods and the pile up on the door then Vlad counts from three down to one then kicks down the door and they rush in. Vlad charges in effortless grabbing the attention of all the goblins in side as he starts cleaving in to them while Ceadrad sneaks in and covers Vlad taking out any goblins trying to get a cheap shot in, meanwhile Ailwi was taking out any range goblins most just used simple slings. finally the last two enter and surveyed the battlefield most of the work was done. Looking about all of the goblins were half breeds you can tell because they were short pot bellied with scrawny limbs ugly warty noses bald and with big ears. The had basic loin cloths on so they were the dregs of the goblin encampment. Pure breed goblins look like short green humans with hair and big ears if not for the ears and skin colour they could be mistaken for human children or even halflings.

"So far so good" says Vlad as the ranger and rouge search the room.

"Yeah lets just hope the rest are this weak" says Arwen as she spits on a corpse

"Hurry up you two I want to get going I want this done before night fall we have wasted enough time as it is" Alexandria states in a dismissive tone. The two quickly finish up and the reform and head in to the rest of the ruin.

After hours of searching labyrinthine like tunnels and room usually fight large groups of goblins to the death they are exhausted and lost.

"How come you don't know where we are" the mage snaps at the ranger

The ranger mumbles "I don't know its like there is and enchantment to that navigation abilities and spells don't work here"

"Crap we wondered around enough we better head out" Vlad states in a matter of fact way.

The rouge took the argument as a chance to look for any secrets on the wall but accidently triggers a trap causing the floor to turn in to a giant slide they all scream as the slide down the slope in to the depths of the ruin.

They all land in a dark room they quick gather their wits and look around its pitch black so Alexandria casts a light spell causing a ball of light to float above her head suddenly they see they are surrounded by hundreds of goblins all in make shift armour  most half breeds with some pure breeds dotted around they were staring at them with hungry yellow eyes. Suddenly a small orange light flies into the room but if you concentrate hard enough you would see a small pixie creating the light she look like a small woman with a tartan dress and orange hair in a pixie cut and butterfly wing that created the glow so far away she looked like a small ball of light. See then spoke in the minds of everyone in the room "remember we need them alive for the sacrifice." Suddenly with the command the goblins rush the party. The party can do nothing as the sheer weight of the oncoming tide knocks them out.

The party woke up all at a similar time all of them bound and in there underwear. The mage and the cleric mouths were bound to stop them from casting spells. They looked around and notice they were in a great chamber they were in the middle in front of them a large sacrificial alter covered in millipede iconography that had a blood stained channel that led to a hole in the floor with a pure breed goblin at the alter with an jagged obsidian knife and shaman robes as well as face paint next to him was a female pure breed goblin in a a set of plate mail with a goblin equivalent of a great sword. There was the pixie floating about the chatting in squeaks and other noises that couldn't under stand. They where surrounded by goblins and the cleric and mage were figuring out how to escape before they were turned in to breeding stock for the half breed goblins because all half breeds are male for monsters.

There was chattering among the goblins but when the armoured female raised her hand they all went quite she then made a speech causing them all to cheer. Then with a hand signal a bunch of goblins rushed and grabbed Vlad and brought him up to the alter he struggled and broke free several times but more goblins would just grab and beat him eventual they brought him to the alter they attached a chain to his ankle bindings and held him down he started swearing obscenities at the goblin his face going red from the exertion but he knew his fate the shaman raised the knife in the air said a prayer then brought it down into Vlad's chest he screamed in pain as the shaman cut his chest cavity open and removed his heart he then said something then threw it down the hole. Vlad's face froze in a mix of shock pain and terror the shaman made a signal and the chain around his ankles were hoisted in the air then his throat was cut and the blood from his body flowed down the channels in the alter and down the hole the heart was thrown down. The other adventures were terrified the cleric had wet her self the mage stared on with cold rage and the ranger and rouge were in full blown panic. The goblins delighted at their suffering but didn't make a noise because of the holy ritual happening. The other thing that terrified the adventures was that the ritual was doing something as they could feel the gather of magic and unholy power.

After the realization they were part of some evil ritual the next one to be sacrificed was Ailwi the exact same happened and they could fell more power gathering and going down the hole. Alexandria still held her nerve but the other two and broken down completely weeping wetting them selves and begging for mercy. Then came the rouges turn Ceadrad he was a mess as he was brought up and killed the goblins smile grew wider as the armoured female dragged Arwen up to the alter by her her she said something that made the goblins laugh then striped her naked the shaman said one a different prayer this time but done the same to Arwen there was a loud rumble then the sound of something cracking and breaking free then a ungodly screech the mage had never heard before she stared crying as the cleric was dragged away. The pixie started talking to the two goblins at the alter excitedly but then the shaman pointed to the elf and said something the pixie thought for a then acted like she had a bright idea then spoke to the goblins and the elf's mind "Bring her down to met our new Dark Lord and Lady" Alexandria's eyes went wide when she heard those words and started kicking and screaming into her gag as she was drag by goblins away to were the hole in the alter went.
