Chapter 1: Sneak Peak

Jade stroked Dimond's neck as the gelding drank from the stream. "I'm sorry that I dragged you into this..." She whispered. 

Dimond ignored her. 

Jade crouched and used her hands to sip the clean water, the moon shining down on the two of them as Jade plotted what she had to do next. "where to go where to go," She repeated over and over again, each time sounding more aggravated than the last. She hated the fact that she had been forced to flee from her palace as her younger sisters continued to have the warm bath water, the buttery bread, the scones, and the frilly dresses. But here she was. Crouching in the mud by a dirty river, sipping its water, and drawing a map in the filth with a stick. Oh how far she had fallen.
