POV-Lily
I wake to the smell of bacon and eggs in the air and smile, it is my favorite. After slowly sitting up I stretch with a soft yawn. I then swing my legs over the edge of the bed and stand up, I can see that John is still asleep right now, probably still tired from having to work later than expected at the Monsons’ house.
I slowly walk over to the door, careful not to wake John because he is a light sleeper. I slowly open it and close it once I'm out of the room.
‘Let's get Melia out of bed’ I think with a pip in my step.
I walk down the stairs and walk into the kitchen where I can see Ame cooking over the magic fire John had recently installed, Ame says it's way faster to make stuff with so I’m all for it.
“Is it bacon and eggs today?” I ask even though I already know the answer.
“Yes, It coming along well,” She says in a neutral tone.
“Sooooo, is John not up yet?” She asks with a smile.
“Yeah he's still asleep, he is really tired after last night” I respond.
“oh, did you really keep him up that long?” she asks in a suggestive way that causes me to chuckle.
“No nothing like that, he was kept too long at the Monson's house because for some reason their kiln exploded when Fred started it up, luckily he was ok but it was a long fix for John,” I say
“I will believe you for now my dear Lily but you should go get Melia up because I am almost done with this last batch,” Ame responds with the same voice.
I get up and stretch again and then walk down the hall to where Melia’s room is and I slowly open the door, on the simple twin-sized bed I can see Melia lightly snoring as she always does. I walk over and lightly shake her shoulder as I softly say.
“Wakey wakey my princess, it's time for breakfast” After I say that I can see her slowly waking up.
“Nooooo I don't wanna,” Melia complains in a sleepy voice, but I know just the trick to get her up.
“Then I guess I will need to eat all the bacon all by myself, a darn shame,” I say with an exaggerated sign as I stand up but as I turn around I feel a small hand grasp my pant leg and I smile knowing that my plan worked.
“Is Ame making bacon today?!?!” Melia says with an excited voice, seemingly no hint of the previous sleepiness in her voice.
“Yeah, you can smell it from here” Once the words leave my mouth I can see a big smile form on my small daughter's face because she loves bacon just as much as me, and then she literally jumps off the bed like a cat and rushes don't the hall at top speed. I cover my mouth as a laugh escapes my lips because of how similar she is to me when I was a kid.
I walk out of Melia’s room and make my way back to the table where I can see my daughter already eating. Ame then puts my plate on the table and starts making her plate. She sits down after me and we start eating.
“What are you going to do today mom?” Melia asks in between bites.
“Well, some of the young women in the town need me to make them some dresses for the festival in a few weeks” I respond once I finish my bite of egg.
‘Should I get a new dress this year? I have used the same one for a few years and it is getting pretty old now.’ I think for a bit before dividing to make myself a new dress when I am done with the other people's orders.
“It's the harvest moon festival right?” Ame asks.
“Oh I forgot this will be your first year here,” I say with a laugh.
“Yes, it's the harvest moon, we will all go to the center of town and have a feast, plays some games, and just socialize with each other. Basically, it's just a place to have fun or find a partner” I say the last bit with a mischievous hint that Ame catches.
“Hey, I have only been here for a few months, I don't think I have even met half the town yet!” Ame says in exasperation. I am glad she got out of the ‘Lady’ and ‘Miss’ faze quickly and just acts normal now.
“Then you should take this opportunity to find someone, you're not getting any younger you know,” I say with a smile.
“I'm only 19!” Ame exclaims
“I was a mother when I was 19” I counter.
“But if you are so determined I won't push it” I say then go back to eating my food.
Once I am done eating I get up to go to work.
“Bye, I'll be back for lunch!” I shout to Melia as I walk to town
‘Ok lets get at least Martha's dress done today’ I think as I reach the shop I work at.

‘Sweet, only one more level until… Wait what is that?’ I was celebrating when I felt a wave of something, I walk out of my room with a confused Ame following behind, I see dad walking out of his office as well.
“Dad what was that?” I ask in a childish and confused voice to keep up some appearances of being a one and a half year old.
“I don't know but stay here until I find out.” he says as he is walking in the direction of the backyard where the feeling is coming from and he has a spell at the ready. I stay behind because he should be fine because he is a level 28 mage and NOT because I'm scared or anything.
After a moment he says I can come out and that its safe. When I come out I see something that makes my [Mana Sense] and [Spirit Sense] go blaring, to actually see what I am looking at I need to turn them off, and when I do I see pure beauty and nature. I see that apple tree that mom planted but its surrounded by lush flowers now, everything looks to vibrant and lively.
“Dad what is that?” I ask in amazement then I look at dad and see the same expression on his face.
“I think that's a Mana Zone. I have never seen one in person but that looks like the description of one.” he explains while never once looking away from it.
“A Mana Zone?” I ask because I have never heard of that.
“Yes, a mana zone is a collection of spirits that takes root in a single spot for some reason and will attract other spirits to the area because they know its safe.” He explains to me.
‘Is this a effect of my race?’ I wonder.
‘Or does this have to do with the fact of my plot armor skill? First Leo has the talent to be a Grandmaster Knight then this, I feel like one of those protagonists in some novel’ I think with a big smile.
POV-Lily
—Some time later—
Once it hits noon I put my stuff down and stretch in my chair then stand up.
“Ok bye Jemma” I say to the woman working next to me.
“Is it lunch already?” Jemma says because she commonly loses trace of time when working.
“Yup” I say as I start walking home.
After a couple of minutes I make it home where I can see Melia siting on the rocking chair I put on the porch when she was a baby. When she sees me walking up the path she jumps off the chair and runs up to me. I get concerned that something happened.
“Something the matter?” I ask Melia in concern when she reaches me.
“MOM LOOK AT THE TREE HILL!” she exclaims.
I calm down when I see that she is not worried and then I follow her when she runs around the house to where the hill that I and John planted the apple tree. What I see when I turn the corner of the house makes me stop.
I look at the hill that should be barren because its fall right now, everything should be dead but what I see is a flourishing spring of life, I see flowers that are literally glowing with life, they have small wisps floating around them of what I assume is magic from what little I know about magic, the grass blows with a soft breeze even though the wind in actually quite fast over here. I jog over to where Melia is.
“Princess, what's going on here?” I ask.
“Dad says that a Mana Zone formed here!” she shouts out in excitement.
I then see John walking out of the house and walk over to us.
“Dear, what's a mana zone?” I ask in confusion because I have always left magic to John.
“A Mana Zone is an area where the spirits gather, it will stay in a form of perfect spring forever now. What's really confusing though is why one formed here, like they only form every 1000 years or so and always in the elves Silver Woods.” John says in a tone I recognize as his scholarly voice.
“Is it save to be around??” I ask in exasperation.
“Oh very much so, they are very beneficial to be around and they promote the growth of living things. I think that whatever made this area a mana zone is probably also the reason for why Leo grew so much.” he responds
“Can I got into it?” I get hopeful when I hear that it is safe to enter.
“I don't see why not” John answers after thinking for a bit.
I slowly walk up the hill to where the apple tree is and when I enter the area a wave of warmth hits me, I stop for a second but then start walking again, a bit faster now, I am carful to not step on any of the beautiful flowers. I make my way to the rock I normally sit on, when I get there I see that it has moss growing on it now so I slowly sit on it and it is surprisingly soft and thankfully not wet at all.
I sort of just sit there in a daze, my little plot of nature that I made just to have something to do when John made this house has grown into this, whatever it is. I don't know it but a big smile is on my face.
