Chapter 2: Chapter 2 : Groceries

The next day, I went out to buy groceries. Mom left a note asking me to buy groceries and dad made breakfast with the ingredients he bought before leaving for work 

The ingredients he bought were enough for breakfast 

After eating I asked the twins to look after the house, currently, I was on my way to the reliable supermarket with a list of ingredients in hand

In the note was about a 20% discount early in the morning, the discount will only last til noon, It was 10 am at the moment.

2 hours remaining before the sale ends

“Shinomiya_san?” A familiar voice called out

I looked behind to see Suzuki wearing casual clothing, a light blue Sweater with a cat design in the middle and a skirt with black leggings.

“Suzuki_san, I can guess you are here for the same reason as everyone else”

“Yes, I've heard this market would get a 20% discount once a month, and to my surprise it's today”

“The discount day is random each month but my mom has connections to know which day is it”

“Oh, quite handy to have connections like that”

“I know, anyways, I'll be on my way inside see you there” I was about to go inside first but a warmth enveloped my hands

“How about we go together?” Suzuki was holding my hand, why? Thousands of thoughts went through my mind. I made sure to keep my poker face.

“Sure”

I entered the market with Suzuki holding my hand, she didn't seem to want to let go. She held it tighter 

Was this a hint? I have no idea, maybe it is or I'm just overthinking it but ill take this as a hint

“I have a list of things to buy, how about you suzuki_san?”

“I have but I'm not familiar with this market, I'll rely on you shinomiya_san” 

I took a cart, Suzuki grabbed a basket, and we started walking around the market, the ingredient on the list was quickly lined out

Suzuki stayed quiet, she was still holding into my hand

I was gonna ask why, but then I saw her face for the first time instead of the usual upfront face, she was smiling. I decided to ask later when we were out.

The market became crowded, people noticed the 20% discount was today. I wasn't fond of places that were filled with people.

checking the last ingredients off the list, after paying at the counter we left the market

“Suzuki_san, why are you holding my hand?” I'm now 100% sure this was a hint

“Because I want to” she was holding my hand while holding with a plastic bag 

Both of our hands were preoccupied with plastic bags

“Well I have to go home now, but if you want to, you can come hang out?” the chances of her agreeing were high if she was willing to hold my hand for a long period.

“Sure, why not”  I was expecting this but isn’t it too early for me to invite a girl that I’ve interacted with within 2 days, I had no idea why I asked

“Can you let go?”

“No, I might get lost you know”

“Tell me suzuki_san how can someone get lost, if there’s no one here beside us”

“Like this” letting go, when I faced her direction she was gone

I was completely bewildered, I looked around to see her completely gone from the area.

A warmth enveloped my hand to see saya standing right next to me, she smiled  “Where did she go I wonder?”

“haha, pls don't do that ever again”

“Do what?”

“suddenly appear and disappear out of nowhere without warning, I almost dropped the bag of groceries”

saya was trying her best not to laugh so she didn't reply 

we continued walking back to my house, it was a short trip of silence, 

“welcome home!” they both said cheerfully

I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply

“I need to talk to you two...alone...” I said slowly

they gave each other a worried look

“what? what happened?” Aiya asked with worry

“Well, you see...I invited Suzuki_san to hangout”

"Who?"

"the one outside" I pointed behind me, Suzuki waving at the two

“oh! she's cute!!” Said Aiya with joy in her voice

Aimi nodded along with Aiya’s statement.

“Yeah...” Was all I could muster out with a whisper

“Come in come in!” Aiya asked excitedly 

“Um...well…” I looked over to Suzuki and she was just looking away, I was pretty certain she was laughing at this situation 

it wouldn't hurt to help me out here, "make yourself comfortable, ill go prepare some snacks"

I walked into the kitchen and put down the plastic bags  before turning back to see the twins staring

“is there something going on??” Aiya walked up to me and asked

“no, nothing is wrong at least that I know of” taking out the newly bought bread and some meat

“then what happened? Why'd you invite her??” Aiya asked with curiosity

“she came here to purchase some ingredients so we went shopping together and since then we're holding hands” 

“HOLY SHIT WHAT!?” They both yelled in unison, Suzuki was startled and looked at us

“WHAT THE FUCK HUH!?”

"LANGUAGE!" I scolded them, Suzuki looked at the 3 siblings in amusement

They both apologized but continued talking, “are you sure?? Because you know what happens when people fall in love, I mean, not that we don't think you're good for each other, it's just...you know....”

“ Onii_chan  women are scary, Just be careful ok, especially this one" she glanced at Suzuki, She waved at her.

Aimi waved back

"I will also where did you learn that?"

"the internet"

"the Internet? you two still don't have phones... whose phones do you use?"

“oh...I may or may not read a lot of the things in your reading list Onii_chan” I checked my phone to see, several tabs in my browser app opened. it was only supposed to be 555 tabs, not 570

"ok, how did you two figure out the password" 

“I have my ways onii_chan” Aimi gave a Smug smile along with Aiya

“yeah right” I changed my password immediately, I've decided to change my password every day to make sure that none of the twins can't access it 

"keep her entertained while I prepare alright, thanks" putting down my phone on the table, both of the twins gazed followed the phone

"Give us the phone later, deal?"

"deal"
