It was cold outside, and while KETA moved its body through the cold storm, it soon realized that the organic parts of its body were suffering from the cold. Different from most things until now, the cold did not give it anything except water, and water made its Digestive gas feel weird, which resulted in the creation of a second skin around its body that it fused all the water t resulting in a slimy shell. And while the slime was protecting it from fusing with even more water, the cold was not something it could fuse, the cold took and took, but never gave.
It fought through the darkness, some of its eyes dying due to the cold. It needed to feed, or it would soon lose all its eyes, and the Digestive glass might freeze down and die due to the cold. It needed to eat, and that as fast as possible.
Day turned to night turned to day, and most of its body was barely moving anymore. The sludge was frozen, and the metallic parts that touched the water before it made the sludge start to rust in some places and it had a single eye left. And then there was something in the distance, a group of small things was walking, rather clumsy on land with many feathers to keep it warm and wings that it used to move through the water.
KETA knew that once they were in the water, it would no longer be capable of catching them without turning into a giant pile of sludge. It knew if the snow wasn't that thick beneath its feet, it would leave a very obvious trail.
It crouched down then, fastening the fusion of the water around it to make its outer sludge water-based enough to take on a white shade and serve as camouflage.
It crouched, slowly taking on the form of a big white giant sludge when it finally reached the creatures, who only saw a big mountain of snow when it finally released all its remaining digestive gas at the group of unsuspecting birds, Incinerating them before it started rebuilding its body with the freshly gained cells. It gave extraordinary attention to make sure it used all the feathers of the birds to construct an isolating coating for itself.
It used their eyes and mixed them with some of its sludge to change them into a more fitting form while turning the meat into G.O.A.T.
And when it was finally through with that, it continued walk-sliding along the shore, trying to somehow get rid of the water, while the cold stole its heat in fast intervals. It now could see more, but it was still dying, even if it slowed its death down considerably.
It had to survive, that was its main priority, and it got harder with every new liter of water bonding with it.
It needed to leave this place before it would get too diluted to be called alive.
It started to run, rushing forward as fast as possible, as it saw a structure of Steel, similar to the one it was born in.
At that moment it ran, and just as it reached the building, it started feasting on the door, once again very fast at consuming and integrating the material, using its liquid parts to cover as much as possible before it released its G.O.A.T. In the entrance, only to stop the action the moment it began as it realized that it needed the slimy processors in the skulls of those creatures to gain the knowledge necessary to leave those horrific lands.
And so it compressed itself to be as small as it could, trying its hardest not to jump in aggression as the door to the entrance corridor opened.
