Chapter 15: Infernal Demon

"Azriel, are you okay?" Melty's voice sounded in my mind, and I slowly opened my eyes to see her standing over me; I must have passed out at some point. 

 

 "I'm…fine," I muttered as I tried to get up, but I winced when pain shot through my side. 

 

 [Here, let me help you.]  

 

 Melty transformed from the glass blade and became her beautiful self, and then she came to where I was to stand over me. "Are you sure you want to go there?" I asked, and Melty nodded. 

 

 [Yes, this is where the Infernal Demon is.]  

 

 "I see…then we don't have any other choice," I muttered as I reached for the handle, but before I could even touch it, the door swung open on its own, and light poured out from inside. 

 

I squinted my eyes against the sudden brightness as Melty glowed brightly in my hand; evidently, she had been prepared for this since she had created a barrier of water around us to protect us from whatever might be inside as I grabbed her.  

 

As my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked into the room and froze; it wasn't just one creature in here like we had expected. There were two of the Aqua Dragonpedes on either side of the giant dark-furred demon with two big horns and red burning eyes that Fiona had told me about. 

 

The demon was sitting on a throne made of bones with a long sword resting across his lap, and he was looking at us with an amused expression on his face. It was clear that we had been expected, but I didn't care; we were going to take this bastard down because what else would you do when you walked into a cave like this?

 

"So, you are the new Hunter brought to this world, Allgora? You really don't look like much, but that just means I will have an easier time killing you! Attack!" The Infernal Demon growled, and the dragonpedes raced forward at me.

 

I raised Melty to a point at first and deflected the first strike, making the creature scream out as the ripple effect tore through its body, stunning it. The next one came at me with its mouth open wide, and I ducked under it before plunging Melty into the creature's side.  

 

The dragonpede let out a loud screech as it was impaled on my blade, but before I could do anything else, the other one was on top of me, its teeth sinking into my right shoulder as pain shot through my body. 

 

I grabbed its head with my left hand and ripped it off while bringing Melty up to slice through the other creature's throat. The two dragonpedes were quickly dispatched after that since they weren't expecting us to be this strong; evidently, they had been told that we would be easy prey. 

 

 "Now then…shall we continue this?" The Infernal Demon asked as he slowly got to his feet with his sword in hand; evidently, he wanted to fight me himself, which was just fine since I fully intended to kill him too. Blood ran down my arm and chest, but my adrenaline blocked out the pain.

 

The Infernal Demon came at me with his sword swinging, but I quickly dodged it before countering with a blocked slash of my own. The moment our blades connected, a ripple was sent through the demon's blade, bending it into a wave and making the weapon look strange. The demon jumped back from me in shock and glared at Melty in my hand.

 

"So, that's the rumored blade of water…interesting," he muttered as he raised his sword again and came at me with a new attack.

I managed to dodge most of it, but his blade still grazed my arm, leaving a deep cut that burned like fire; evidently, this guy's weapon was enchanted with fire magic.  

 

 "You're not bad…for a human," the demon growled as he circled around me; evidently, he wanted to play with his food before killing it. "But you are still no match for me!" 

 

 He came at me again, and I managed to deflect the strike, but this time the blade the demon was holding broke in two places, making the demon jump back again in frustration.  

 

"What are you?" He demanded as he glared at me, grabbing another blade from his throne; apparently, he was getting angry now. 

 

 "Someone that's going to kill you," I growled back as I charged forward, and our blades collided again, sending a ripple through the demon's broken sword that caused it to shatter into pieces.  

 

The Infernal Demon was flung back by the force of the blow and hit the wall with a loud thud before sliding down to sit on the ground; evidently, he wasn't expecting me to be this strong. 

 

 "Impossible…no human should be this powerful!" He exclaimed as he got back to his feet, but then he stopped and looked at me with an amused expression. "Unless…you're not entirely human, are you, Allgora? You are a freak in this world! Do you think that humans will accept you?! They will only use you for what they need, but you will still be a monster, just like the creature in your hand!" 

 

 I didn't answer him as I charged forward again, but he was ready for me this time as his hand started glowing red. He brought it up and shot a stream of fire towards me that I barely managed to dodge since my reflexes had been enhanced by Melty, although my arm got singed in the process, which only made me angrier. 

 

I quickly closed the distance between us and slashed out at him with Melty, but he dodged it easily enough before countering with another fire attack of his own that I barely managed to avoid.  

 

"You're going to have to do better than that, Allgora," the demon said with a cocky smirk on his face as he continued to dodge my attacks; he was enjoying this. "I'm not even breaking a sweat yet!" 

 

 I growled in frustration before coming at him again, but this time I wasn't using Melty; instead, I just used my bare hands since they had also been enhanced by her from fingering her clit and getting her Erotic Essence on my fingers. The Infernal Demon's eyes widened in surprise as my fist collided with his face, sending him flying backward into his throne, which shattered under the force of the blow.  

 

The demon slowly got back to his feet and wiped the blood from his mouth before glaring at me with hatred in his eyes; it seemed he wasn't used to being hit like that either since it looked like it hurt quite a bit judging by how swollen and bruised his face already was becoming. 

 

 "That…was a mistake," He growled menacingly as he reached for another weapon; this one looked like some kind of morning star-type weapon with spikes all over it. "Now you will suffer!" 

 

 The Infernal Demon came at me swinging, and I barely managed to dodge out of the way in time, but I was still grazed by the spikes on his arms which cut my arm open. He was solid and fast, but I was faster, thanks to Melty, although I could tell he was holding back since he wasn't using his full strength yet.

 

"Come on! Fight me like a man!" I taunted him as I backed up slightly, so I had more room to maneuver; this guy liked to swing wide with his attacks. 

 

 "You think you're a man?! You're nothing but a weak little human that will die here today!" The Infernal Demon growled as he came at me again, but this time instead of dodging out of the way, I grabbed hold of his arm and used my enhanced strength to stop his momentum before kneeing him in the stomach as hard as I could. 

 

The Infernal Demon grunted in pain and doubled over, but then he quickly recovered and lashed out at me with his other hand, hitting me across the face with enough force to send me flying backward; I had pissed him off now. He came at me again, swinging wildly as he tried to hit me, but I dodged out of the way easily enough; this guy was getting angry now, which wasn't good.  

 

"Stop playing around!" He growled as he charged forward again, but this time when our fists collided, a shockwave was sent through both of us that knocked us back a few steps. Apparently, we were evenly matched since we both had supernatural abilities, although mine seemed stronger because of having sex with Melty before this. Best. Power. Boost. Ever. 

 

The Infernal Demon got back to his feet and charged at me again, but this time I was ready for him as I met his charge head-on. We collided in the middle with enough force to send a shockwave through the room that knocked over what remained of the throne; we were both using our full strength now. 

 

"You…cannot…beat…me!" The Infernal Demon growled as he tried to push me back, but I wasn't going anywhere. 

 

 "Like hell, I can't!" I growled back as I grabbed hold of his arm and twisted it before kneeing him in the stomach again, which made him double over in pain; apparently, my hits hurt more because of my supernatural strength.  

 

I quickly wrapped my other arm around his neck and started to choke him as he flailed about, trying to break free, but it was no use; even with his enhanced strength, he couldn't break my grip.  

 

 "Die…damn you!" He growled angrily as he continued to try and break free, but then I reached out, and Melty formed in it. I plunged her into his back and felt the demon tense up before he went limp in my arms.

 

I let go of him and watched as his body turned to ash before it absorbed, leaving nothing behind but one of his horns, which I quickly grabbed since it might come in handy later. 

 

 "Well…that's that," I said with a sigh of relief as I leaned against the wall to catch my breath since that had been a lot harder than I thought it would be, even with Melty's help.  

 

"Azriel…are you injured?" Melty asked worriedly as she materialized next to me, looking me over for any injuries, which I appreciated. 

 

 "I'll be fine," I muttered as she helped me stand straight. This battle had been intense, but I was the winner and had proof of my victory!
