"Some questions," I said as we walked, and Melodious looked up at me with an innocent look.

"I promise to be an open book from now on, my King if you still want me to be your Queen?" Melodious asked with hesitation in her voice, and I leaned down and kissed her temple, making her smile.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, but that begs the question of when or if you wish to become one of my weapons?" I asked, and Melodious looked away, but Fiona spoke up.

"You are not strong enough yet. Melodious is a special race of demons called Synergy Demons. Her race are catalysts for Allgora, and she will not become a Weapon like we all will. She will give you a special power, or better put, she will unlock a special hidden talent that you have. What that is, we can't know until you form the contract with her, but you need to be much stronger, or sex with her will kill you," She explained, and my eyes peeled back as I looked at Melodious, who was now staring at the walls as we walked.

No wonder she held herself back the first night because I knew she had wanted it, but she stopped us. That would have been the end of me before I even started, but not a completely horrible way to die. Better than getting eaten by a monster.

"I see, so that is why you need to take it slow," I said as I squeezed Melodious's side. "We will get there when we need to and not a moment sooner."

Melodious just nodded as she leaned into me, her body trembling slightly. I would have to be sure to ask Fiona about it later when we had more privacy.

"What are your other questions?" Fiona asked as she looked up at me with raised eyebrows, and I sighed. There were many things that I wanted answers to but didn't want to ask in front of Melodious quite yet since they might upset her even more than she currently was.

For now, though, there was one question that had been bothering me since last night when Lord Lachlan told us about the castle being left in my name.

"What happens when I pay off the owed money? Is there a way we can buy this castle? It doesn't seem like a very good idea to rent it the entire time, right?" I asked, and Fiona nodded her head.

"Yes, I agree with you there," Fiona said as she looked at the Queen for a moment before sighing and turning back to me. "There is another reason that Lachlan agreed to let us stay here, for now, is because he knows that we don't have anywhere else to go right now, but eventually, we will be able to buy this castle. It just might take some time."

I frowned at Fiona's words as I thought about it. Then something clicked in my mind, and I turned towards Melodious, who seemed to have been lost in thought since Fiona started talking about her race earlier.

"What exactly are your people good at?" I asked curiously as we stopped in front of the servant's quarters where my new recruits should be staying, and Melodious turned towards me with a confused look on her face before glancing over at Fiona, who just shrugged helplessly.

"We are catalysts," Melodious finally answered after a long moment, and I nodded my head slowly as I thought about it.

"So, you help things happen?" I asked, and Melodious nodded her head.

"In a way, yes," she said hesitantly. "We don't really do anything on our own, but we can help to make things happen."

"Like what?" I asked curiously as Fiona opened the door to the servant's quarters and gestured for us to go inside first since Melodious was still my Queen.

The servant's quarters were surprisingly clean for a place where servants would be staying with very basic furniture. There were no personal effects that I could see, but as far as I knew, Fiona was the only servant that we had. It seemed like a waste either way since this was such a large castle that there must have been plenty of rooms available upstairs that they could have used instead of down here.

"Fiona?!" I heard Laura's disembodied call.

"Yes, you are in the castle, and Azriel is the King of it, so you don't have to worry!" Fiona called, and one of the doors of a cabinet opened, and Kari and Kila rolled out as Laura floated out.

"So you really are the King?! I feel very stupid for what I did before," Laura said as she bowed her head to me and then looked back at me with her purple eyes.

"Don't worry about it. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't know I was the King until after our meeting. Now, since you are all here, let's talk about what is going to happen going forward, but let's go back up to the sitting room. After that, Fiona will find you all rooms. As of today, you will now be living here," I explained, and Kila cheered.

"You really mean it?! We get to live in this big castle?!" Kila cheered and started to shake her sister, who started to cry, but I think they were tears of joy.

"Of course I do. You are all going to be my new recruits after all," I said with a smile as we started to head back upstairs, and Fiona closed the door behind us.

"What about me?" Laura asked hesitantly as she floated beside me, and I smiled at her.

"You are also going to become a weapon. I mean, that is if I can even have sex with you," I said, and Fiona nodded her head in agreement before Laura could say anything else.

"Oh, don't you worry about that! Just like Kilakarai, Specters are immune to basic physical damage but also nonmagical weapons," Fiona explained, and Laura looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Which means?" Laura asked, and Fiona shrugged.

"Which means that he could technically just fuck you if he wanted to," Fiona said, and I felt a stirring in my pants as the idea of fucking Laura entered my mind.

"So, what are you waiting for?" Kari asked eagerly as she looked up at me with bright eyes but then frowned when she saw the look on my face. "You do still want us, right? We can leave if you don't want us…."

"No!" all three girls cried out in unison before they started laughing, and I couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. They were definitely going to be fun recruits, even if they were all monsters… Well, two monsters plus one ghost, but I guess she was also a monster.

Lord Lachlan wasn't wrong when he said that I was a monster, and I preferred them, but I didn't care what he or any of the humans thought. I would become the Hunter King that all feared but long coveted for my skills and weapons.

I would become the King that those like Melodious, Fiona, Melty, Laura, Kila, and Kari deserved.

"Azriel?"

I blinked and then looked at Fiona, who was trying to laugh at me, it seemed, but then I looked to see my fist raise in front of me in a striking manner.

"Sorry, got a bit deep in thought there," I said with some embarrassment, dropping my hand.

"It's fine," Fiona said, and then she started to giggle as the six of us headed back up to the main lever of the castle.
