By the time Gareth had reached the drawbridge, it had been lowered, letting him cross. Gareth stepped onto the bridge, his one hand still holding Lydia by the hair. Once he was in the middle of the bridge, he threw her head onto the ground. Lydia wriggled like a worm and let out a furious scream at the crushing pain. Still, she was glad that this was happening since she knew she was going to die soon.
At that moment, an arrow pierced through her palm and into the bridge. Lydia opened her eyes wide, unable to even scream. Gareth reached back, to which Giggs quickly placed another arrow on his outstretched hand. Gareth then pinned the second arrow to Lydia’s other palm. Lydia groaned and twitched on the ground, struggling to avoid further torture. However, her body that had been fixed onto the bridge with the arrows didn’t move, and her desperate movements only exacerbated the pain.
“Go ahead and kill me, Gareth!” she shouted in misery, thinking, ‘Just kill me. Kill me now! Kill me!’
Gareth raised his foot and stepped on Lydia’s leg; there was a crunching sound as her bones broke, and her leg contorted bizarrely. Lydia yelped in pain, realizing that Gareth was not going to let her die easily. Her spine trembled with pain, and even though her whole body was trembling, she couldn’t move because of the arrows holding her down. She was praying that she would faint, but she felt something wet fall down her face at that moment.
‘Rain? Tears?’ She opened her eyes wide to see what it was, then she saw Gareth beckoning his horse toward her.
Gareth climbed onto his horse and urged his horse to move forward to step on Lydia’s body. The woman’s screams were buried by the sound of hooves. The terrible sight shocked Gareth’s men, and they remained silent, unable to say a word. The best they could do was watch their captain make his horse trample Lydia’s body.
“We’re in trouble,” Giggs muttered to himself quietly. He could tell that Gareth had lost all sense of reason, which meant that Logan’s estate was going to be burned down to the ground. Moreover, the remaining villagers in the estate were going to be exterminated just because they had been living here. Innocent people were going to die.
Feeling there was going to be mayhem in this place, Giggs shouted frantically, “It’s over, Boss! Logan and Lydia are both dead!”
However, as if he heard nothing, Gareth didn’t answer. It seemed that he was solely focused on making Lydia suffer.

After a while, Gareth began to cross the drawbridge; Giggs could feel that his superior was going to begin a slaughter. The stench of blood emanating from Gareth had grown especially prominent.
“Just check to see if Madam is alive, first. Actually, I’ll do it! Please, just wait a moment!” Giggs stopped Gareth by standing in front of his horse, risking his life. “Do you believe that Madam died? You know what kind of person she is! She wouldn’t have died! That wench was lying, so please let me check!”
Gareth didn’t listen to Giggs. Instead, he thought about Elena. ‘I can’t hear her. I can’t hear her voice inside my head. Just wait, Elena. I’ll kill everyone here and follow you.’ Traces of bloodlust grew into enormous masses and enveloped Gareth, preventing him from feeling any other emotions. Gareth felt as if everything had stopped, including his heart. He pulled the reins to his horse, causing the beast to raise its front feet high in a threatening manner, then he began to gallop forward as if to crush Giggs. Giggs narrowly escaped the dangerous situation by lunging to the side, and Gareth began to run straight into the villages with his sword in one hand.
“Cobain! Hurry up and find out if Madam is alive!” Giggs ordered one of the men. ‘If we leave him like that…’ Giggs began to think anxiously. He had always left Gareth alone when he changed like this, but he couldn’t do so this time. Gareth was heading straight for the villages, which meant that innocent people were going to die… and for some reason, Giggs felt as if Gareth was going to die as well.
Giggs hurriedly climbed onto his horse and shouted at the rest of the men who were trembling in fear. “Come on, everyone! We’ll stop our boss! We can’t let him go!”
The horses began to run in unison, causing the ground to shake once again.

When Hansen reached Elena, who was hugging her sisters and Lenoa in the hall, he reported, “Captain Gareth is here. Logan finally lost the battle and Lydia was captured as well.” He seemed encouraged, unaware that Lydia had already been turned into pieces of meat for the animals.
