Chapter 23: 23 Wild Boss (2)

Enzo stopped running once he saw the beast bring its hands up.

Boom!
The minotaur slammed his axe down. 

The axe landed on the ground a foot or two away from him. 

Enzo started running again and just jumped over it.

Damage numbers came from Pepper who was behind the beast slashing her daggers across its back and legs. 

“Roarrrrr!”
It lifted its head to the sky and roared in pain.

Enzo quickly stabbed his katana into the monster's stomach. 

When he pulled it out he made sure to slice towards the monster’s heart to cause more damage.

Pepper also kept up with her assault on the monster’s back.

The minotaur quickly spun around and swatted Pepper like a fly. 

She wasn’t expecting the monster to attack so quickly so she was sent flying into a try.

Pepper fell to the ground and coughed up a little bit of blood while trying to get air back into her lungs. 

Enzo finally had time to see the monster’s weakness as it was turning to Pepper.

“The groin!” Enzo yelled as he stabbed his sword in that direction. 

Pepper was slightly confused, and wondered if she heard him right or not, but decided to just go with it. 

Enzo didn’t even consider how ridiculous it might sound to shout something out like that, but Pepper understood so it was okay. 

However, the monster knew exactly what its weakness was. 

There was no way it was going to let Enzo exploit it like that while it was distracted. It didn’t want to become a eunuch because of a small Fae man that it saw as no more than an ant. 

The minotaur jumped back as quickly as it could to get away from Enzo’s stab. 

Enzo completely missed, but didn’t falter. 

He charged after the beast, and the minotaur did the same. 

Boom!

This time the loud explosion didn’t come from the axe meeting the ground, but the axe meeting Enzo’s sword.

The collision of the two weapons caused a loud explosion of air, and surprisingly Enzo was not sent flying. 

Something as dramatic wouldn’t have usually happened, because Enzo is still at such a low level that his strength stat is not high enough to cause random explosions in the air. However, a combination of the massive weight of the axe, and the speed at which they both swung their weapons caused the small explosion of air. 

Enzo lowered his katana as he knew it would be stupid to enter a competition of strength with the minotaur. 

Enzo might be able to hold his own at the start of the clash, but he would obviously lose as the fight went on. 

His completely numb right arm was a great indication of how the clash would go. 

Enzo spun his body closer to the axe that was still outstretched and tried to slash his blade at the handle of the axe.

He figured it would be the weak point of the weapon and easily broken. 

He was right, but the minotaur was not going to allow something like that. 

The beast pulled his axe back and lifted it above his head again, but Pepper returned to the fight just in time.

Pepper jumped up high and stabbed her daggers in the shoulder blades of the large monster. 

The daggers caused a tremendous amount of damage because they dug so deep the minotaur’s bones were pierced, and it wasn’t just a shallow tap, they were stabbed through completely by Pepper’s daggers.

“ROARRR!!”

It screamed much louder than it ever had before. 

The axe dropped down to the ground as the minotaur writhed in pain. 

Enzo stabbed his katana towards the groin of the distracted beast once again.

“ROARRRRRR!!!!”
The minotaur started to scream even louder after that. 

No male of any species would want something so cruel to be done to it. Most men would even cover their own crotches in phantom pain if they were spectators of the event, but Enzo didn’t care. 

Enzo was merciless in a fight as his competitiveness knew no bounds. If it could give Enzo an advantage and make the win easier, he would do it no matter what. As long as it didn’t clash with his morals anyway.

The minotaur would have cried in pain either way, but it was much more painful as it was a weakness for the monster. 

If there was no golden glow around the monster’s crotch but Enzo still decided to stab it mercilessly, it would have only caused around 400 damage like Pepper’s daggers did when she stabbed the beast’s shoulder blades.

As the minotaur was still barely alive with 20 health points left, Enzo took out his katana before stabbing it once again into the monster’s crotch.

It let out one last cry before falling down. 

Boom!
The beast made a loud noise as it hit the ground because it was so heavy. 

[You have killed a Minotaur (Wild Boss)]

[You have gained a title!]

[You have leveled up! 6 -> 9]

“Nice!” Enzo shouted when he saw the experience point bonus, title, and new level, but those weren’t the last messages. 

Ding!

The announcement rang out a total of five times before it stopped. 

‘7th place… not bad.’

“You okay?” Enzo asked Pepper. 

He heard and saw the minotaur smack her into the tree, but wasn’t able to check up on her during the fight. 

“Yeah, I’m all good. That shit hurts though I can’t lie.”
“I know right. When that bear scratched my chest last time it hurt like hell.”
“I wonder why Extant Company made the pain so real as well.” Pepper said.
