Every Night With Jun’s Heart 05 - Yes! Right there! Hit him with a MUA1! (watching the show with popcorn.jpg)

In the early morning of the next day, Jun Xuanheng waited at the courtyard of the main hall with Ye Tan, having ordered a servant girl to go report that they had something they wanted to ask about. Soon, a fully dressed Ye Fengjun pushed the door open and came outside.

“What is it? Just come in directly.” He lazily asked.

“I wanted to have a few words with Jun Wuwang….. we might want to talk alone.” Jun Xuanheng was clearly the Master of the Sword Pavilion, but he was still very polite, “Can you two withdraw for a bit?”

Ye Fengjun couldn’t help but laugh. When they first arrived, Jun Xuanheng had long since wanted to get to the bottom of things with Jun Wuwang, but Ye Tan held so much hostility towards the two of them that he would not let Jun Xuanheng out of his sight no matter what, which is why there had been no progress until today.

Ye Fengjun teased: “Oh, did your shadow guard finally come around? Is he actually willing to leave you alone with that big-tailed wolf2 inside? Isn’t he afraid you’ll get eaten?”

Ye Tan respectfully stood beside his Master with his head lowered, indifferent to his teasing. Jun Xuanheng took a rather worried glance at him, saying: “I’ll go in first. Ye Fengjun, A-Tan’s temper is more stubborn than yours, please be a little more careful. Don’t….. don’t bully A-Tan.”

Ye Fengjun squinted his long, narrow eyes, smiling: “That depends on whether he listens to me or not.”

Jun Xuanhgeng sighed: These two, one won’t speak a single word, the other is frivolously coquettish, but both of them are equally stubborn.

Simply an unlucky child x2

Even if Jun Xuanheng was worried, he had no option but to go in first, hoping he would clear up everything soon so the two of them wouldn’t be at odds again.

Ye Tan was still respectfully standing outside the pavilion, waiting for orders, looking no different than any past guards. Ye Fengjun leisurely sat down at a stone table by the pond, calling for someone to bring over a few jars of aged wine, cracking open the sealing clay to have a drink.

He didn’t drink alcohol in the past, as a shadow guard, there was nothing more stupid or dangerous than getting drunk, since he always needed to be sober and steady to protect that person. But after he died, he learnt the truth, accompanied Jun Wuwang and watched every world by his side, and he just felt that his own obsession during his life was simply ridiculous.

There were many pleasures in the world, and it would be a shame to not experience the heart of Jun Wuwang’s creation.

He watched that tall, straight, and alert figure to the side and, thinking about his own past self, wanted to provoke him even more. He couldn’t help but laugh: “Ye Tan, come, have a drink with me.”

Ye Tan was annoyed: “I can’t drink.”

Ye Fengjun shook the wine cup and spoke with a smile: “I’ll teach you.”

Ye Tan couldn’t stand his pestering: “Don’t bother.”

“Sigh, you really are dull. How did Master fall for such a boring person…..” Ye Fengjun sighed. Those words were originally him talking to himself, but when they fell on Ye Tan’s ears, they were plain mockery and contempt.

But his patience was very good, he didn’t want to cause trouble for his Master, so he only said: “It is not your turn to dictate how I behave, there is no need for you to bother teaching me.”

Cold and stiff, no different from a rock, did he really not have any other facial expressions? Ye Fengjun came up with a plan and smiled as he spoke in a low voice: “Do you know where your Master is most sensitive? What his favourite position is? I can also teach you that…..”

Ye Fengjun was prepared to avoid the cold glint of the sharp blade that suddenly appeared by his ear. Just as he wanted, he was able to catch the rising anger on Ye Tan’s face. His words had already touched his bottom line, and Ye Tan was determined in wanting to teach him a lesson. His Master had already warned him that Ye Fengjun’s cultivation was higher than his own, so he moved quickly and violently. In a flash, the intertwining figures had already exchanged a dozen moves.

Ye Fengjun was even more familiar with Ye Tan’s style, so he would naturally be able to deal with it easily…..

On one corner of the main hall, Jun Xuanheng had grabbed onto Jun Wuwang to chat, when suddenly Jun Wuwang paused: “There’s a fight.”

Jun Xuanheg held his breath and listened, becoming aware of a few subtle but familiar stifled groans.

“Shit!” Jun Xuanheng swiftly rushed out the door, sure enough finding one person by the pavilion pinning the other into the ground, throwing his sword away, and fiercely punching him bare-handed.

“A-Tan!!” Jun Xuanheng threw himself on top of the figure being beaten and hugged him to his chest to protect him, urgently saying, “Don’t fight! I’ll apologise to you, Ye Fengjun…..”

Holding his clenched fist up high, the figure with fingers already drenched in blood spoke calmly: “Master, it’s the other way around.”

When he heard this, Jun Xuanheng, who was anxiously wiping off the blood from the face of the person in his arms, was stunned.

The person that was beating him up spoke: “This subordinate is Ye Tan. The person in your arms is Ye Fengjun.”

Jun Xuanheng: “???”

Ye Fengjun lay with his head resting on Jun Xuanheng’s lap, his forehead was split open, and there were deep bruises on his neck. Rather than pain, it would be better to say his facial expression was that of shock and confusion.

Jun Wuwant stood to the side, watching, and for a time he didn’t know if he should laugh or feel sorry for him.

Jun Xuanheng awkwardly stood up: “Yours, here, I’m returning him.”

Jun Wuwang coughed and received the person into his arms, asking: “Are you okay? Does it hurt?” Ye Fengjun’s eyes were out of focus, and he wasn’t listening.

Jun Xuanheng worriedly said: “He’s not responding….. was he beaten stupid?”

Jun Wuwang pursed his lips: “I doesn’t matter, I can cure anything in any case. I’ll take him back first, so I’ll be taking my leave.” He finished speaking and carried Ye Fengjun back into the building.

Ye Tan moved back his hands, respectfully kneeling on the ground and apologising: “Ye Fengjun insulted Master, this subordinate took it upon himself to discipline him. Master, please punish me.”

Jun Xuanheng didn’t answer, half-crouching on the ground and holding his bloody fingers as he carefully examined them, asking: “You aren’t hurt?”

Ye Tan nodded: “This subordinate did not sustain any injuries, all the blood is Ye Fengjun’s.”

Jun Xuanheng was startled: “Does that mean….. you one-sidedly beat Ye Fengjun up? How is that possible?”

After Jun Wuwang washed and bandaged his injuries, Ye Fengjun had still not snapped out of it.

“What’s wrong? Are you in pain?” Although his mouth was relentless, he still couldn’t help but feel sorry for him seeing him so deflated in this moment.

Ye Fengjun was bewildered: “Ye Tan’s sword….. why is it so much faster than mine? It doesn’t make sense, our gongfu is the same, even if I can’t hurt him, he also shouldn’t have been able to hurt me…..”

Jun Wuwang repeated: “Your gongfu? When you came into the world, what was your gongfu?”

Ye Fengjun said: “I used the data for the day before the Second Young Master abolished it….. The level I was at during my time as Yaksha was my peak level.”

“Oh.” Jun Wuwang coughed, “…..You know, that time when Ye Tan was trapped in seclusion at One Sword Tomb, if he didn’t complete the full time, he wouldn’t be able to break the sword array by relying on his own cultivation.”

Ye Fengjun was startled.

Jun Wuwang nodded: “That’s right, so in order to help him break it, I stealthily altered his data, he himself doesn’t even know.”

Ye Fengjun: “……” You really screwed me over.

Jun Wuwang placated him: “What’s there to it, you just need to change your own stats to be a little higher.”

Ye Fengjun frowned: “How could I cheat?”

Here we go again, this type of obsessive insistence on depending on one’s own strength to win or lose with real knives and swords, Jun Wuwang called it the “mortal’s crazy dignity”, and he himself never understood it. But Ye Fengjun, who had come from firmly walking the path of an ordinary person step by step, was extraordinarily resistant to this kind of almost roguish data modification behaviour.

Jun Wuwang could only switch his method: “Then I’ll lower Ye Tan’s stats a little.”

Ye Fengjun was increasingly annoyed, and asked: “Wuwang, do you actually think that I wouldn’t be able to beat him without cheating? Are you looking down on me?”

Jun Wuwang was speechless: “…..forget it, whatever makes you happy.”

A short time later, a bitter-faced Jun Xuanheng pulled Ye Tan inside: “We’ve come to apologise.”

Jun Wuwang held back a smile and faintly hummed.

Jun Xuanheng despaired: “I know that you could easily beat us up if you wanted. A-Tan was too ignorant, I hope you won’t mind.”

Ye Tan was very unwilling, whispering: “Master, there’s no need to be so humble, this subordinate may not necessarily lose to him.”

Jun Xuanheng wanted to cry but had no tears: “Stop talking, ancestor, if Ye Fengjun wanted to, he could string up ten of you together and beat you up.”

Ye Tan didn’t speak any more.

Ye Fengjun pressed the gauze on his forehead and announced: “Don’t worry, I will beat him on the basis of strength, I won’t use any other tricks.”

Hearing this, Ye Tan’s fighting spirit also rose, and he responded in a clear voice: “I look forward to your advice.”

Ye Tan and Ye Fengjun looked at each other and smiled.

It could even be said that sparks of lightning flew when they made eye-contact.

Jun Xuanheng sensed the two of them were in the middle of a moment of mutual acknowledgement, and was startled: “Could this be considered a reconciliation…..?”

Jun Wuwang: “It seems so.”

Jun Xuanheng gasped in amazement: “Humans are really mysterious.”

Jun Wuwang was not impressed: “Humans are really childish.”
