Chapter 14: Chapter 13 – Phone a Friend

Above the skies on a majestic skyscraper was a man sitting  on its peak , he breathed in and said

“I’m bored”

 

The Man then dug into his pocket and took out an old flip phone , it was for privacy even if he didn’t need it. The man went to the camera feature and pointed at himself and snapped a picture before looking at it. There sat a man wearing a purple mask and a tuxedo. The man then went into his contacts and found one that stood out , it said

“Coary!”

The man smiled beneath his mask before calling.

 

On the other side of the line where two men , one muscular and one made of pure slime , they were in a security room with a phone in front of them , the slime one said

“The pay is good but this job is so boring”

The muscular man responded with

“Same , maybe we should sneak out and go have a few round”

The muscular man then happily grabbed the slime man and gave him a hug before suddenly the phone rang , the two sighed before the Slime man formed his hand into one identical to a humans and picked up the phone and said

“What would happen if we decided to not answer the phone?”

The muscular man sighed and said

“I don’t know Phill, that sounds dangerous and what if it’s an important client?”

Phill nodded before answering the phone and saying

“Hello MVM here please make an order”

The voice on the other side sighed and said

“Took you long enough , let me talk to your boss.”

The two men looked at each other , Phill asked

“Should We?”

The Muscular Man said

“It isn’t in the manual but what happens if it’s a CEO?”

Phill then said

“Yeah Vick we should just listen”

Both Vick and Phill then talked into the phone saying

“One moment Sir”

Then after putting the phone on mute they yelled

“HEY CHIEF , SOMEONE ON THE PHONE WANTS YOU”

Far away was an average looking man with a notepad , he sighed before his arm seemed limp as he pulled it back and launched it at the phone in front of the two men, the chief then said into the phone

“Name and Occupation”

In where the voice over the phone snickered and said

“Occupation villain and my name is private. Bring me to Coarla”

The chief sighed before suddenly looking at the phone number of the caller. Instantly the chief ran to the stairs calling out

“IT’S THE MASKED HE WANTS TO TALK TO THE BOSS”

Over the next few minutes the small phone passed from boss to boss until finally the phone handed over to a man in front of a pure gold door, he nodded before turning around and saying

“Mam The Masked wants to talk to you”

The door then flung open to a young women who looked weak and had different colored powders all over her body she quickly said

“Hand me the phone”

The man compiled before getting the door slammed in his face , she spoke into the phone saying

“Your simple phone call made a real mess, you know.”

The voice on the other end chuckled before saying

“Coary mind if I come over, I have a present for you”

Coarla looked at her phone, it was the masked a global villain and the most powerful at that, she sighed and answered

“Come by during the next meeting”

The voice replied with

“Do you mean the global meeting”

Coarla sighed and said

“Yes, it's the only time all of us global villains get together in one place.”

The Masked replied with

“When is it again?”

In where Coarla then spoke about the time and place

“Tomorrow , If you come by I’ll guide you unless you feel like you can find it alone”

The Masked happily said

“I’ll join but you have to answer my request”

Coarla hesitantly asked

“What is the request first”

And the Masked happily said

“Bring me somewhere fun”

Coarla ended the call with a shudder, truthfully she already knew what present he was bringing. It was an annoying rat that ruined one of her major businesses but that didn’t matter because she couldn’t refuse his request no matter what , only postpone it. She sighed before looking around

The room was spacious with gold and jewels littered around, drugs were thrown about the room and were becoming one with the tiled floor. In the middle of the room wasn’t a chair but a throne. Coarla sat down in the empty chair inside of an empty room inside of a large building. It was a mansion full of employees working day and night but it felt so quiet. She smiled before in the distance seeing out of a window a large skyscraper. She felt inclined to approach the window for a clear view, Coarla touched her eye shifting it into a large mass with a tiny pupil. Instantly her head was a grotesque look as one side was a normal frail woman and the other was a monster with a pure white eyeball extruding out while being the size of a closed fist. Coarla then watched as a small black speck jumped from the building, at first it looked like a suicide only for a sudden ferris wheel to appear on top of the sky scraper, it crushed the first layer but seemingly stopped. Coarla watched intently from her window seemingly hundreds of miles away only to hear something above her head , she looked up to see a roller coaster speeding forth with track seemingly appearing out of thin air, it passed by he mansion in an instant and in another into the ferris wheel , the ferris wheel was knocked of the tower to cause carnage down below as it roller but the roller coaster continued moving , it suddenly did a quick curve before diving into the skyscraper. Coarla watched and waited for an explosion only to see the coaster fly out from the other end only to double back into the skyscraper, over the next minute the ferris wheel crushed thousands and the roller coaster killed hundreds in one of the biggest buildings in the city. She shuddered before saying

“Yeah I definitely need to avoid getting on his bad side.”

Coarla then dug into her pocket, it was a drug of pure black. She smiled as she said

“But maybe if…”

She said

“It took so long but I finally have my ultimate weapon.”

Coarla then touched her arm only for it to suddenly flood the giant empty room. Coarla only had half the room left before she dug a single pinky inside the black drug, a single speck was on her pinky as she laid it on her tongue , suddenly her entire arm caught fire. Coarla screamed in pain because no matter how powerful she or her ability was fire could only be controlled by people gifted with fire powers. Coarla was one of these gifted few and only had the ability she got when she was ten. It lets her increase any size or strength of a body part in her body. Coarla smiled before saying

“Previously I was considered a low rank global villain, one of the only five in Prodosia. But now… now as a wielder of not one but two powers, well I might as well be god.”

Coarla smiled before putting the drug in her pocket. It was an imitation of being burned alive, a feeling she got recently due to one of her own customers' outrage. Coarla’s arm had now been incinerated only to quickly regenerate back. Coarla smiled before saying

“Let’s go test my power”

 

Far away The Masked had jumped from the skyscraper and landed on a mask below, he looked at the destruction around him and smiled when he said

“I’m like a child waiting for their birthday… I can't wait for tomorrow”
