Allan: Healer hopeful, possibly dungeon made.
"What?" I ask because my ears are ringing, and I think that, if I wasn't sitting, I would have fallen to the floor.
"Oh, my," Margie presses a hand to her mouth. I can understand her. Dungeon made people are...monsters. Boss mobs in all but name.
But what of my mother? Was she even my mother?
Augustine takes a hold of my hand, and gives it a light squeeze.
"You are still you. I mean, plus immortality, I guess," he says, his grin never leaving his face.
Why is he grinning? Not only was I a prostitute, but now they claim I am not even human?
All the things he has done for me up to now stop me from snapping at him. Yet, the only thing I can do is to bite my lower lip. I place the fork I have been gripping for dear life down.
"May I be excused?" I ask. Augustine doesn't let go of my hand.
"What is the problem? I already said, you are still you," he says. I blink at that. A part of me wants to lash out at him. To vent all my frustration at him.
How come he doesn't understand, that the little I used to have, is now gone?
"Allan, can I speak with you for a little bit?" Dean asks, as he gets up from his chair. "Alone?"
I nod, and look at Augustine. He finally let's go of my hand, and I am allowed to get up from my chair. I follow Dean into the living room. He goes, and sits on the couch. Then, he pats the seat next to him.
"Did you know?" I ask. I know I owe him a lot, but if he knew, and that was the reason why he... fed from me?
"I didn't," he says with a sigh. "The only thing I knew was that you have more mana than normal humans."
He pats the seat next to him again. A part of me remembers all the nights we shared together. My body still thinks of him as a lover. I go to him, and sit next to him. He wraps an arm around my shoulder.
"You are angry, I get it," Dean says, and I nod. I am angry, and confused, and... lost.
"So, I'll tell you what we are going to do," he says, as he pulls me in close. He still smells faintly of cinnamon. That smell always reminded me of home, back during our time together. "We are going to keep it a secret. If anyone asks, then I imprinted on you, and that is the reason behind your immortality."
"Why would you take the risk?" I ask. He stands to lose a lot, if this is brought before the Demon Lord.
"Because I have been thinking about you. I have been dreaming about you, Allan," he tells me. I don't know if he knows what that makes me feel. Not only that, but I want to ask him so many questions:
Do you imagine me when you have sex with your lovers?
Why wasn't I enough?

Did you feel guilt, that you couldn't have me as a lover, back when I was at your pleasure in the brothel?
I don't ask him anything. Still, he guesses what I want to know.
"Ok, I think it is time that I made some things clear," he says, as he places a kiss on my forehead. Then, his lips travel lower, to my nose, and finally, they brush against my lips. "I thought that what I did: feeding off you when you didn't have a choice in the matter. When you didn't even know what I was. Well, I thought it was wrong, and dirty."
I nod. Used to being a dirty secret after three years as a sex worker.
"But I haven't been able to get you out of my mind," he says. "I had the loveliest orgy just last night, but I missed your moans. I caught myself imagining you as I rode Augustine. I... you probably don't want to listen to this."
"Are you happy with them? I won't stand in your way..." I begin. The last thing I want is to break him apart from those he pledged his love to. And for what? For used goods like me.
"Augustine has the hots for you," Dean says, and I blink.
"It is just a small crush on his part," I retort, but he chuckles.
"No, you help him in the kitchen. He is head over heels. If you are to give the other two morsels time, they will end up worshiping the ground you walk on," I blink at that. Is he offering me what I think he is offering me?
He stands up, and kneels before me.
"I am probably the worst of the bunch, and definitely not a good enough lover for you," I try to get him to stand up, but he gives me such a disarming smile, that my hands freeze on his shoulders. "But if you join our party, then I will be very happy. You will see that, when I am happy, I do my best to bring happiness to those around me. Except for things that have to do with spiders. Those, I blow up."
I giggle at the last part. I feel someone's gaze at the back of my neck, and turn around.
Augustine, the Naga and the archer are in the doorway, looking ready to come over to Dean and me.
"May we?" The archer asks. I nod, and they come over.
"Don't be worried that you are not a top-notch healer yet," the Naga says, as he takes a hold of my hand, and kisses the back of it. "The most we do when going to quests, is talking."
I blink at that.
"No, really," the archer says, and then rubs the back of his neck. "As embarrassing as that is. We are actually aiming for world domination, but through...peaceful means."
"By that he means: the power of fucking friendship," Dean chimes in. I burst out laughing at that. When I see the screen appear before my eyes, I click on the yes without reading the contract.
I'll go to the underworld for them, as long as they think of me as someone who is worth some love.
