Chapter 42: Home is...

Atha: Dual sword wielder, dungeon core. Takes his party home.

I have gotten all of my stone golems out of their jobs, and am now making them make a big house. There has to be at least half a floor worth of space for the kitchen, or Augustine is dumping my ass. An archery ring, and space for exercising, or Vincent is dumping my ass.

A play room, if you know what I mean. Dean won't dump my ass. He wants to get in it too much. Still, I would like to make him happy? And keep him like that. Yeah, that is what I want.

As for Allan, well, I guess I could spare a floor for his own clinic. Just because he is a sweetheart in love with all of us, I'll also make sure there is a library and a study with his name on it.

Well, not I. The golems. They are hard at work, building the foundations. I hear footsteps, and see that Augustine is looking over the construction with a critical eye.

"Do you like what you see?" I ask him.

"If this half-collapsed thing is what I am seeing, then I have to tell you this for the nth time: Hire real builders, Atha!" He has the audacity to glare at me, and then point at the perfectly good digs. "The west side is shallower than the east one."

I look at the holes in the dirt. Then I tilt my head to the side. Nope, I am not seeing anything.

"Look Tine," I say, some of my smugness sipping through my voice. "I am a dungeon core. We are expert builders. You are seeing things that are not there."

"I graduated from the Engineering College," Constantine says, and then points at the foundations again. "If I am saying that this is not how it is supposed to be, then it is not."

"Wait, you can build houses?" I ask, my eyebrows high. "Why didn't you say so?"

"I can build buildings in general," Augustine tells me, and then points at the timber I have set aside for the house. "Atha, you can't just cut off a tree trunk, and then pile it over another tree trunk, in a misguided attempt to make a wall."

"You can't, I can," I tell him. Why is he doubting me so much? If he knows all about building, why doesn't he build the house? In fact, I think he should pay for his snark. "Look, if you know best, then here is what we should do. I will give you 100 golems. Build something with them, if you can."

"Give me all the golems, and I will be done in a month," Tine challenges. I shrug.

"Fine, I will just make more golems, then," I tell him. It is not like the mana stone vein is going to run out. It goes down deep into the earth.

Augustine offers his hand, and I take it. I pull him closer to me, and whisper in his ear.

"When the month is up, and you don't have so much as a tool shed to your name, I will take you with both of my dicks," I lick his earlobe, and he shivers.

"Pervert," he screeches in my ear. "I have built houses before."

I blink at that. He has? Well, I didn't know that. He leans away from me, to look into my eyes.

"When the month is up, and you are still digging pits," he tells me, with a blush on his face. I smirk, at the fact that my words got him flustered. "I will lock you up with Dean, for a day. You will be his only food source, mark my words."

I gulp at that.

Wait, what am I worrying about? I am a dungeon core. No way will I be ravaged by Dean. Instead, Tine is going to go through double penetration. Hehe.

I smirk down at Tine, and he nods.

Whistling to the golems to get their attention, I point at Augustine.

"Listen to him, until this time next month," I tell my loyal creations. They would die for me, if I told them to.

Well, they are not really alive. But if they had a brain, free will, and all that... They would have rebelled already. It was good thinking on my part, not to create them with souls.

"Ok, folks. The timber needs to be processed," Augustine says. There is no longer a trace of his blush on his face. I shrug at the development, and go towards the mana stone vein. I have golems to build.

One month and 100 missed quests later...

Ah, shit. He can really build a house. While I...

I look at the big pit that is right next to Augustine's manor house. I admit to trying to expand it so much, that his house caved. He saw through that, and got an entire rune team, to make a shield around his creation.

Dean licks his lips as he sees the house. I didn't want for him to get a wind of this, but Tine is a merciless little imp. I sigh, and slither to the incubus.

"Come on, let us get it all done with," I tell him.

"Did you even think that, I mean, even for a second, that Tine was going to fail?" Dean asks. I nod energetically. "You naive little dove. Tine never accepts a challenge, if he is going to lose. You should have known that."

"Come on folks, time to make the building ours," Augustine says, and takes a hold of Dean's hand.

"But, our bet?" I really shouldn't protest. Being the sole food source of an incubus is exhausting. Allan told me stories about that. And back then, Dean wasn't even taking his fill from him. Something he is not going to pass up on, with me.

"What can I say? I am curious as to how two dicks will fit inside of me," I blink at that. Dean gives a wolfish smile.

"Can it be three? You have a mouth too, songbird," I swat Dean over the head.

"Only if you return the favor," Augustine says, and I blink again. Just what happened in this month, for Tine to speak like this?

"Guess we will be each other's company, eh, Allan?" Vincent stretches his arm, and wraps it around Allan.

"Guess so," Allan says, a little dejected.

"You won't be left out, don't go in the dumps now," Dean says, and then his hand rests on my bum. He gives it a light squeeze, and then his eyes close. "Ah, do you think we can all connect, this time? Ah, but now I want to be the one to take Allan."

"Casanova," Augustine grumbles, as we enter the house. I have to say, it is as well furnished, as it is built. If we can get Tine out of the kitchen, maybe he can rebuild the guild house? I mean, the guild master still lives in a tent.

Oh, we forgot about the Adventurer's Guild...

We are so dead.
