"I see it everyday, yet still find it hard to believe every morning." One of the students whispered to their friend when Wei Luo entered the class and made his way to his seat.
After he arranged his materials for the day, he felt a tap on his shoulder and saw his desk mate shamelessly lean down to ask for his homework. "Hey hey big boss, you did yesterday's homework right? Can you give me to copy?" Wei Luo sighed and shook his head lightly. Asking a 5 year old for their homework to copy, most people would feel too much pride to come this low wouldn't they?
Well, when he first appeared in this class, there were people who wanted to put him in his place and show him that he could never catch up. But he was a man with even university knowledge, how could they possibly do so? Overtime they learnt their place instead.
Wei Luo reached into his bag and brought out his notebook, flipping down to the pages where the homework was done neat and concisely, some with even more than two methods used.
If he was going to be a genius, be was going to be an over achieving one. Afterall, his background would likely be investigated in the future, can't he show off a little?
"Wow, of course geniuses are really different." The deskmate reached out her hand to collect the book but Wei Luo moved the book away before she could touch it. "Ahh why? You gave me last time. What sin have I committed today?" She whined sorrowfully as she brought out the lollipop from her mouth and rested her head on the desk.
"Nothing come free does it? You gave me your lunch last time did you forget?" His childish voice held a bit of teasing as he waved the book in the air with his small hands. "Hey are you sure you're five years old? Maybe... you're a dwarf who's too shy to say your age because you're too short?" As she said this, she reached into her back and brought out a pack of candy marshmallows and dropped in on his desk.
He took it and in exchange, handed the book to her. Watching as she snatched the book from his hand and began writing things down with the speed of light, he laughed and opened the pack. "Maybe I am, that's something you will never know."
While they talked, some other people began to come over as usual to ask for homework. It seems shamelessness was a thing of the No 4 high school.
As his work was distributed, Wei Luo looked at the increasing snacks and money on his table. He put them in his bag and saw the teacher coming in, signalling the start of the school day.
After the last bell of school had rung, he was summoned to the principal's office and after greeting his mates goodbye, he made his way there. On the way, the juniors who saw him either greeted without the senior tag or didn't greet at all, because they felt strange calling a five year old their senior no matter how intelligent or smart he was.
Wei Luo didn't mind. Will their calling him senior or not add anything to him? Irrelevant things shouldn't be minded.
When he reached the door of the office, his small hands knocked on the door twice and a voice answered him to come in. He walked in and sat on the chair in front of the principal, as two separate chairs had been placed away from the desk for them since he wouldn't quite fit there due to his small stature.
"So how are you today? Hope you didn't face any problems" The principal talked with his smile reaching his eyes. This five year old child could be said to be the pride of No 4 high school. He has participated in many competitions and won first prize without a hitch.
The fame of the school has risen steadily since the previous year he started, as everyone knows there is a five year old at the peak of No 4 high that refuses to show himself publicly.

Other schools now look at them with envy and a little more respect than they did before.
'Such a humble and mature child even at a young age like this. Some would want their faces to be known all over but this child just seriously wants to study without disturbances.' The principal nodded in satisfaction. There is hope in humanity atleast.
Wei Luo would probably laugh at this. Who said he was doing things like this because he was humble? He just didn't do this as it was part of his 'future planning'. He is but a humble genius who won't take advantage no? Let them find out themselves.
"No, there were no problems sir, I'm fine." He leaned back into the chair and began to swing his legs that didn't touch the ground.
"Good. Good. Well, I called you here because there is something I wanted to tell you." Wei Luo listened in, his smile widening as the information was given. Things were going even better than expected.
After his meeting with the principal, he went out the school and began to make his way home. When he reached the Central playground, he was just about to pass it but a voice called out to him.
"Weiwei" Recognising the voice, he stopped and turned. In the middle of the playground talking with some other women, his 'mother' stood, speaking with a smile on her face. She waved at him while laughing, but Wei Luo wasn't deceived by this facade. He knew how unhappy she truly was.
"Hello little Weiwei, you're just coming back from school?"
"Ah Weiwei is such a cute child."
"Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at an adult when I see him."
The different voices and praises wafted into his ears, but he had no expression in return while rolling his eyes in his heart.
'How hypocritical. Talk all this rubbish and flatter the family but are the first to start cursing and demeaning once something happens. When they know that they do even worse things.'
He bowed shortly and gave a perfunctory greeting, while feeling the eyes boring into the back of his head. He refused the request to play from the other children and left with his mother, knowing fully well why she called him and offered to go home with him.
'It seems this woman wants to use me as shield and collateral again. Does she never learn?'
